As of today, no posts involving private transfer of firearms, ammunition, or explosives per Reddit's new content guidelines
We've been OK with people advertising their stuff and appreciate the folks who asked permission first, but these are now a big no-no to help Reddit's public image.

Better place to sell privately?
Trying to sell a Springfield XDM 9mm but other than Tacswap and Armslist, I don't know of any other options in SW Ohio. I know my LGS could work but I'd rather sell privately.
Anyone have any other suggestions for SW Ohio?
Feel free to PM me with suggestions.

Anywhere I can camp that also allows shooting? Preferably a remote area
Don't know if this is the right sub but there's gotta be someone in here who knows a spot right?

Not priv transfer but -
I’m having a buddy live with me until he starts work, he doesn’t wanna “be a bum” and even after telling him I can afford his expenses until he starts, he insists to atleast DoorDash, is it legal it let him carry my pistol for protection?
Only asking bc I’ve been in Columbus for 8 months and have already been involved in an attempted carjacking at the end of spring. Definitely a warm welcome into the city lol.
Also live in a more underdeveloped part of town, no hate but just wanting to be safe for every party involved.

Do accessories sell well on Armslist?
Hey everyone. I bought some overstock of these really nice Beretta Shotgun cases. I bit off a little more than I can chew and I have quite a few extra that I’m not going to use. The issue is, they’re 51 inches and not cheap to ship ( https://imgur.com/a/YR8uwx8 )
I’m trying to figure out how I can unload them for $20-25 a pop or so, I was thinking armslist. But I don’t wanna pay to subscribe if something like this wouldn’t really sell, so wanted to ask first
Thanks

Purchasing a handgun as a dual resident
May be a stupid question
I'm currently a legal resident of NJ but attend university in Ohio and will probably end up staying here for a bit when I graduate. I rent an apartment in Ohio but I still have an NJ driver's license.
I couldn't find too much information about purchasing a handgun as an out of state resident in Ohio. I will be able to get rent statements but I'm not sure about utilities as they're included in my rent. What kind of information will I need to prove dual residence to purchase a handgun in Ohio?
I plan to apply for a PTC in Ohio, NJ, and PA soon but NJ is particularly slow and expensive with anything related to firearms. I don't see the point in waiting for my NJ purchase permit if I can purchase a gun in Ohio. It'll be cheaper and faster.

How do I get sponsored to join Miamisburg Sportsman's Club?
Looking for a solid place to train outdoors where I draw from holsters and train on the move in open bays.
Any other recommendations for a club/range near Dayton where I can do this?
Thanks!

New Hampshire concealed permit
Im 18 just built my first handgun legally. If I get a conceal permit from New Hampshire. Am I legally allowed to carry it concealed. I know this has been answered on here I just want people with experience of carrying under 21 with the permit. I know Ohio allows out of residence permits. But I haven’t any clear laws of carrying under 21 with a permit. Reason I’m wandering is because I work a lot in downtown areas and just want extra safety with me

FFL transfers for non-U.S. citizens with I-94 paperwork?
My firearm transferring just got rejected since most ffl stores around here cannot deal with I-94 paperworks. Are there any stores locally other than Cabela's/ Bass Pro Shop that are willing to do that with considerably reasonable transferring fee?

Guns stored in trunk?
What are the laws if I want to store a backup handgun in my car? I always found the rules very confusing as I am allowed to carry it on my person when driving, but off person is so much more complex. Would storing it in my trunk with the magazine out be enough? Anyone have a link to the actual rules?

Wth Ohio!
So I purchased 2 guns to be shipped to Cabelas. I went to pick them up and apparently I cant because I dont have a State license! I do have a Texas license WITH an Ohio address. I OWN a house in Ohio. I also presented them with a MILITARY ID and military ORDERS! Do I have to give up my Texas residency to purchase a gun in Ohio? Multiple people have told me that I dont need an Ohio locense if I have military orders for Ohio.

How do trades work?
i.redd.itGood morning OH-IO,
So I have a M18 that has been an amazing pistol and I really love it but it's not the best carry gun for me. Im currently living in my car and catching up on debts so was thinking if I could find a trade for a 365 XMacro I might be able to get it straight across or with a couple bucks.
When trading what obligations do I have legally. Can we just literally hand them over and be done? Do I have to look them up on the clerk of courts site?? Do I need to get a picture of their ID? What's the law on the action I need to take? I was only planning to call the local PD and ask them to verify the Serial number is not stolen.
Thanks for your guys time. Here's some gratuitous gun porn.

if i buy a firearm to be shipped to an FFL but am not there to pick it up within the week it'd be delivered
I'll be out of state from december 9-14, but I wish to buy a firearm while they're on sale. Never bought one, but I know it takes a while (7-10 business days) So Ig it's fair to ask: do they hold it for you?

Minor owning a gun in Ohio
Is it legal for a minor (15) to own an ar15 in Ohio? Say my dad bought it for me, is that legal? I read that on a federal level it classifies as a long gun which minor can own.

So, I had a gun up on Armslist for around the same price most were selling the same gun, for three weeks, and I got no offers. Any suggestions for the post? I listed it at OBO. Weird.

Need advice on buying a gun and training, Columbus,OH
I wasn't raised with guns and never really had an urge to own one but my wife recently stated she would feel safer if we had one. A few questions here as complete newbies with absolutely zero knowledge: 1. What would be a good newbie type gun that is easy to handle, load, clean, etc? 2. Where is the best place to buy such a gun? 3. Where is best place to get training and practice for defense only with that gun?

My son, 19year old Correctional Officer, often carries a Glock 9mm, but can't practice at local range.
My son is a correctional officer at a prison. When he transports inmates he carries a Glock 17 Gen4 9mm. I own this same gun. We've been told by many that he has to follow guidelines to transport it, and many private gun ranges will not let him practice unless I am with him.
Please be easy on me. I understand this has been asked a lot and I should speak to an attorney first. I understand the law to be very strict with under 21 year olds, but it doesn't make sense to me.
How can he carry on an 8 hour shift, but can't practice shooting it?

I’m 18 and wanting a handgun
I know you have to be 21 for concealed carry. But I was gonna get my concealed carry license from New Hampshire. Can I get a handgun from private sale at 18 or gifted a pistol from a parent. Or let’s say I get a gun from somebody and I get in trouble with the gun could I just say I built it since there is no law against building guns at 18. Thanks again
