I bought an Air11 M2 BRAND NEW for christmas, the main use that I got for it is taking notes in uni and some media consumption. Two days ago I needed to take notes from a video lesson in late night, that I desperately needed for the morning after, since I had an exam that morning.

Well, my experience in using THEIR NATIVE APP, not some bullshit third party, THEIR FREAKING NATIVE APP, Apple Notes, begins that night and ends that night. Every 10/15 minutes i needed to restart the whole thing, because the lag input from the Pencil to the document was hilarious, as you can see in the video.

And OMG the thermal throttling. Yeah, it’s winter, the time of freezing cold, but i don’t need a oven under my hand, the whole time that i’m typing.

Come on Apple, you have a CPU that can outperform my desktop and you optimize your notes app like my ass AND you can’t find a way to not cook my palm with the most basic use of your product? F*ck u. I’m thinking about returning this slate of aluminum and sadness.

I tried it today for the first time fully expecting it to not work, but it just worked without any fuss or anything.

I had to put it in airplane mode because my device also connects to 5G, turning off WiFi wasn’t enough.

The guy posted as WiFi only but it definitely not just WiFi I got a good deal at 460 now I’m even more pleased and he is throwing in a gen 2 pencil

I(15F) have an iPad where the the battery is SWELLED. I don’t have a pic, I’m scared to approach it. I’ve seen videos on how dangerous they can be. My mom thinks it was just me mishandling it and that the battery is just bent. How do I convince her to take me to dispose of it?? I’m terrified it will start a fire and or explode in the night.. as of right now it’s in our garage, but the garage does have flammable things in it. Please help!!

apple has been notifying me that i have to pay this certain amount (369) but i never spent or subscribe to anything worth that.. just realized this issue when i cant download anything from the app store bc apple was asking me to change my payment method.. is it possible to know what is it that apple is asking me to pay for?

What is the best school planner to use on the iPad?

I am new to tablets and ipad, and confused. I keep switching between putting it on a stand with keyboard, or just using it while communting to do some work tasks. It's a struggle to do both frankly. Wondering if you've found what it works best as, for you?

Also, do you use it with a stand/keyboard or handheld like a phone?

I’ve noticed recently that my Apple Pencil frequently loses connection with my iPad. I can’t write anything when this happens, and I have to restart the iPad to make it work again. What could be causing this? I’ve already tried turning Bluetooth off and on and updating the software, but it hasn’t helped. If it matters, I mostly work on GoodNotes when I use Apple Pencil.

I had to factory reset my iPad and now the pencil isn’t reconnecting, I charged it all night and still nothing ☹️

Would the switch even be worth it or will there be future updates to the iPad mini? I also want to downgrade to something smaller and compact. iPad mini is definitely the way to go for me for this reason but I’m not sure if it’s time to switch just yet. Thoughts?

I recently picked up a used 8th gen iPad (10.2") and have been enjoying it the past few weeks. I have a cheap amazon case on it now for some basic protection, but have been curious about adding a better keyboard case / folio.

It looks like the best options are the Logitech Combo Touch and the iPad Smart Keyboard. Besides the lack of a touchpad on the Smart Keyboard, is there any reason why one is better than the other? I'm assuming I shouldn't also expect to have "macOS" like gestures with the Logitech's trackpad either.

Any opinions / feedback / etc. on either Logitech or the SK would be super appreciated. Thanks!

Hello people, I got my first ever Ipad. [Ipad AIR 11inch M2 with pro pencil]

There's hell lot of battery issue I faced. I have been using iphone from past 5 years and the battery still lasts long.

In my Ipad, I lost 6% in 15 mins. ( brightness was full and phone was in low power mode)

Isn't this too much? Also Ipad charges very slowly.

I am really scared. Can somebody help?

I have been noticing since I got my iPad (about a year or so ago) that whenever I use my Apple Pencil I feel the right hand side near the magnetic charger heating up on the screen. When this happens I notice the battery depleting rather quickly.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue/is there a way to fix it without bringing it to a technology professional. If you were able to get it fixed professionally, did they say what the underlying issue is?

As a student, I experience significant challenges with legibility in my written work, particularly when dealing with mathematical functions and geometric constructions. The inherent imperfections in my handwriting and freehand drawings hinder effective communication. While I hoped that an iPad, coupled with applications like Notability and GoodNotes, would mitigate these issues by enhancing the precision of my shapes and lines, my experience has been less than optimal. Therefore, I seek recommendations for alternative applications or strategies to improve the clarity and accuracy of my digital handwriting and drawings.

A good few months ago now, I upgraded the kids iPads and did the customary device reshuffle and ended up with my daughters 8th gen iPad sitting unused, shortly after that my grandmother had a fall and was in the hospital recovering from both a hip replacement and having a pacemaker fitted (hell of a way to get doctors to take your concerns with your heart seriously, Nan). Since this iPad was sitting around doing nothing and I figured she must have been bored out of her mind with no entertainment, her own iPad being at home 2 hours away, I loaded it up with books and outlander episodes and dropped it off to her at the hospital. I only just got it back from her when we all caught up over Christmas and have been using it casually myself since… and honestly loving it. I already have an iPad Pro m4 and Magic Keyboard and that’s great and all but the old design is undeniably so much more comfortable in the hand. It’s been such a joy to use for casual browsing and really any sort of handheld use case and the colour of the iPad itself coupled with the leather Smart Cover are just 👌👌👌 I will also probably die mad that Apple stopped making leather accessories (and wonder who the hell decided that the synthetic and flimsy BS that is FineWoven is more environmentally friendly than natural and more importantly long wearing leather products.

tried using an Apple Pencil to mark off a pdf checklist and get signatures for something but it kept selecting columns, not writing, even attempting to insert text when all I needed it to do was draw/write while I had the pen tool selected. Sometimes it would scribble but not reliably.

Is there a setting i am missing? Rather frustrating as it created more work in having to print and store the paperwork physically rather than the convenience of digital :/

Does anyone know a way to highlight and annotate IBooks on IPad? I recently got an IBook for class and I am able to understand and retain it a lot better if I am highlighting and annotating. I've been using the Notes app a lot and really enjoy being able to freely highlight and write on the pages, however using IBook does not offer the same options/freedom. I know you can highlight using the cursor or holding down and dragging and pressing on the highlight option but it is not as convenient. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions please let me know!
