I(15F) have an iPad where the the battery is SWELLED. I don’t have a pic, I’m scared to approach it. I’ve seen videos on how dangerous they can be. My mom thinks it was just me mishandling it and that the battery is just bent. How do I convince her to take me to dispose of it?? I’m terrified it will start a fire and or explode in the night.. as of right now it’s in our garage, but the garage does have flammable things in it. Please help!!

I tried it today for the first time fully expecting it to not work, but it just worked without any fuss or anything.

I had to put it in airplane mode because my device also connects to 5G, turning off WiFi wasn’t enough.

I bought an Air11 M2 BRAND NEW for christmas, the main use that I got for it is taking notes in uni and some media consumption. Two days ago I needed to take notes from a video lesson in late night, that I desperately needed for the morning after, since I had an exam that morning.

Well, my experience in using THEIR NATIVE APP, not some bullshit third party, THEIR FREAKING NATIVE APP, Apple Notes, begins that night and ends that night. Every 10/15 minutes i needed to restart the whole thing, because the lag input from the Pencil to the document was hilarious, as you can see in the video.

And OMG the thermal throttling. Yeah, it’s winter, the time of freezing cold, but i don’t need a oven under my hand, the whole time that i’m typing.

Come on Apple, you have a CPU that can outperform my desktop and you optimize your notes app like my ass AND you can’t find a way to not cook my palm with the most basic use of your product? F*ck u. I’m thinking about returning this slate of aluminum and sadness.

I am new to tablets and ipad, and confused. I keep switching between putting it on a stand with keyboard, or just using it while communting to do some work tasks. It's a struggle to do both frankly. Wondering if you've found what it works best as, for you?

Also, do you use it with a stand/keyboard or handheld like a phone?

apple has been notifying me that i have to pay this certain amount (369) but i never spent or subscribe to anything worth that.. just realized this issue when i cant download anything from the app store bc apple was asking me to change my payment method.. is it possible to know what is it that apple is asking me to pay for?

I had to factory reset my iPad and now the pencil isn’t reconnecting, I charged it all night and still nothing ☹️

A good few months ago now, I upgraded the kids iPads and did the customary device reshuffle and ended up with my daughters 8th gen iPad sitting unused, shortly after that my grandmother had a fall and was in the hospital recovering from both a hip replacement and having a pacemaker fitted (hell of a way to get doctors to take your concerns with your heart seriously, Nan). Since this iPad was sitting around doing nothing and I figured she must have been bored out of her mind with no entertainment, her own iPad being at home 2 hours away, I loaded it up with books and outlander episodes and dropped it off to her at the hospital. I only just got it back from her when we all caught up over Christmas and have been using it casually myself since… and honestly loving it. I already have an iPad Pro m4 and Magic Keyboard and that’s great and all but the old design is undeniably so much more comfortable in the hand. It’s been such a joy to use for casual browsing and really any sort of handheld use case and the colour of the iPad itself coupled with the leather Smart Cover are just 👌👌👌 I will also probably die mad that Apple stopped making leather accessories (and wonder who the hell decided that the synthetic and flimsy BS that is FineWoven is more environmentally friendly than natural and more importantly long wearing leather products.

I have an iPad air 1st gen (yes It's old) that a buddy gave to me that has sat dead for many years. It's in perfect condition, no dents/cracks

However it won't turn on or charge It shows no signs of life at all I had it plugged into a modern lighting cable for an iPad 8th gen for 24 hours and still nothing. I tried the dfu mode buttons but still nothing.

Anyone know a fix??

I'm getting an ipad 10.9in 10th gen. for the first time since I got my ipad mini in like 2010 lol. Help a girl out, I know there's a ton i've missed on these ipads. Also....I got the pen, but I already have a laptop but do you guys think the keyboard is useful/productive. My laptop is pretty somewhat large, an Ipad would be wayyyy more convenient to carry around, thoughts on this as well would be appreciated , thank you guys!!!

The iPad is around one year old and as far as I'm concerned, it was not treated In any harsh way.

I haven't charged it in maybe 6 months, the charging hole is clean, and when I plug it, there is an indication that it is being charged. It has been connected for more than a day now and it still hasn't reached 1%, I also tried different cables.

Hello, so im having an issue with regards the display/screen of my ipad, so when the device is left for let's say an hour, turning it on would result in it displaying a "blank" screen, such that i know that the screen is on but it isn't displaying the lockscreen

(refer to the video above)

however, after trying pressing the power button multiple times (it really depends, sometimes it would take few tries before going back to normal) before it will display the lockscreen

i was thinking it may be due to my charger because lately I've been finding it hard to charge my ipad in terms of the cable of my charger (undamaged but for some reason it sometimes just won't charge, i have to find the right angle) but i would love to know your thoughts if maybe this was the problem after all

p.s. i will try to buy a new cord for my charger tomorrow, but i would like to know your thoughts with regards the issue before buying one

Local “for sale” board recently posted an older iPad pro for sale. Wondering if it’s a good deal.

It’s a 2018 model, 11”, 256GB storage, cellular model. Listing also includes corresponding Magic Keyboard & Apple Pencil 2. There are some scratches on the screen but they don’t impact finger or Pencil usage per the seller. No cracks anywhere. Factory restored, cleared Apple iCloud ID.

Hello, everyone. I can’t identify anyone else who has had the same issue (which isn’t really what anyone wants to run to). It’s a recently purchased product (2 months). Siri isn’t responding to any commands. I can touch the screen and it turns on, and I can unlock it, however, it doesn’t respond to any commands other than turning the screen on. The device doesn’t answer to commands made by mouse and trackpad as well. The device won’t restart, and yes, the buttons are working perfectly, and yes, I am doing the procedure correctly. And yes, it happened suddenly. I tried to open the Pages app with the trackpad it was more like a ghost touch. The device is properly updated.

I used the Apple Pencil to take a screenshot of the Home Screen to test around, and when I turn on the device, all I see is the screenshot interface. The Lock Screen doesn’t show up, even if I turn off the screen.

Am I a moron? Is this a simple touchscreen problem? Just trying to grasp how screwed I am before I contact Apple Support, it’s the first time I can’t fix a software problem by myself. Cheers to anyone who can take their time trying to enlighten me.

No they are not stolen. My company sends out them occasionally to our customers for R&D purposes. This customer sent them back with passcodes on them and their support person is not giving us anything to go off of as to what the passcodes would be.

Its 2 couple years old iPad airs. Any help would be appreciated
