Grand canyon basketball Help??

Does anyone have any info on Dennis Evans since is portal transfer. Last news was he was cleared to play for this coming season. I was curious if anyone had any news on the guy. I have a sports card investment so I was trying to get any info on if he will even be a factor . Grand Canyon has come along ways recently and has been a really good school, and Dennis Evans is a literal giant of a man. Thank you for any info

In my opinion there are 7 clear cut elite teams in the country. Here is how I rank those

Post image

  1. Duke
  2. Auburn
  3. Florida
  4. Michigan
  5. Tennesse
  6. Alabama
  7. Iowa State

I would love to hear others thoughts on this. Are there other teams that I am being unfair to?

Discussion How did the SEC become so good at basketball all of a sudden?

Growing up watching basketball in the late 2000s and 2010s, the spotlight was on the ACC and the old Big East (RIP). The SEC, meanwhile, was seen as a football conference and wasn’t taken seriously outside of Florida and Kentucky. Fast forward to this season: the SEC is as strong as it’s ever been. Some experts are even predicting the conference could send 13 teams to the NCAA Tournament, breaking the record of 11 set by the Big East in 2011.

What’s behind this transformation? Is it NIL and the transfer portal? The retirements of ACC legends like Roy Williams and Coach K, making top southern recruits easier to land? Or the impact of coaches like Bruce Pearl and John Calipari? Or is it something else?

Weekly Thread [Weekly Post] Whose Line Is It Wednesday

Welcome to Whose Line is it Wednesday, where all the fouls are made up, but the points still matter.

  • Keep skits in the form of a statement, not a question
  • Any skits longer than two lines should be in quotations.
  • If you add any additional commentary, put the skit in quotations. If you don't understand the concept, a skit looks like this: "Things you could say to Chris Jones that you couldn't say to your girlfriend."
  • It's not funny to say "Refs worse than Karl Hess" and name people who might be worse (let's be honest; it's probably just a blank comment); it's funny to say "Refs better than Karl Hess." Think about which way of writing the skit is funnier before posting it.

How did the SEC become so good?

How did the SEC become so deep in basketball? It was every other conference growing up that had basketball schools, and now this conference appears to be absolutely loaded. Is this a result of NIL?
