Is it possible to get recruited starting as a senior?
I played soccer as a kid so I still have some experience, I am a relatively solid player but I never wanted to pursue it in high school until recently. I will be a senior soon, do I have a chance of getting recruited? Even if my only high school season was senior year?

Rome City Institute
I am a junior in high school and I am looking to play college soccer and eventually start coaching in the future. I recently got an invite to play and study soccer at Rome City Institute. I wanted to ask everybody if this is a good place to potentially go play and study in order to achieve my goal

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey, iβm a right footed, 16 year old australian footballer, i play as a winger (preferably on the left wing) hoping to play college soccer in the US.
iβve been honoured to represent my state, NSW, at the National Youth Championships, the highest and most prestigious youth tournament in Australian football , competing against the 5 other states.
I randomly slapped together some clips from the tournament, and some trial games and training camps leading up to selection for the team and was looking to get feedback from any coaches or current players
anything criticism is welcome, thanks. dm for more info

No realistic options in the transfer portal
Hello all,
I am a D2 Freshman who just played his first season of eligibility with a strong D2 program. I entered the transfer portal after giving the school a shot for well over a year and I have had a much harder time than I imagined.
I know my email is high-quality, but my film is admittedly lacking. I reached out to nearly 100 schools and got responses from 5-7. Of those, half were no's, and the other half were interested. But half of those interested were financially just not worth it compared to my old school. Having little to no options as well as the winter quarter/spring semester getting ready to begin shortly my worry is growing. I have classes scheduled at my former school but soccer is off of the table since I willingly left the team.
I played around 30 minutes a game and although I had no goals to show for it, my footage is still telling of me as a player.
Just posting here to see people's honest opinions, as well as to serve as a warning for anybody considering leaving their school as I feel like the dark side of the portal is not talked about as much.
Cheers!

Social Media Platforms
I'm in high school and I don't have any social media right now. I've heard that you can get exposure to college recruiters from social media platforms like Instagram and twitter (X). Does having a page dedicated to soccer help at all? If so, what are best/essential platforms to use?

Feedback on Soccer Recruiting Video
My son is a freshman in high school so I know we're a little early but it's probably better to be early than late. He's a goalkeeper for reference.
I made two videos, a 6 minute which I know is a little long and a 3 minute.
Would love feedback on the videos, although I might wait until the spring season ends until I incorporate.

How to Stand Out in the Recruiting Process
With the fall season over, and the transfer portal in full swing, we thought it would be a great time to share one of our recent articles sharing advice for goalkeepers to stand out and get noticed by scouts. It is an extremely relevant article for many college players and aspiring college players!

Best ID Camps in Northeast
Hi everyone,
Iβm seeking advice for my son, a 2009 goalkeeper who started the sport a bit later but has quickly become the top 2009 keeper in our region. We live about 2.5 hours from both NYC and Boston, but his team is newer and less established, without a college coordinator to guide us.
Weβve noticed his peers attending ID camps and attracting college interest, but we feel like a ship lost at sea trying to navigate this process on our own. I want to help him get on the radar of college coaches, but Iβm not sure where to begin.
Can anyone recommend the best ID camps for a 2009 keeper in the Northeast? Any tips on how to help him stand out and get noticed would also be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Free College Recruitment Support
Hey guys, if you guys need college recruitment support I'm the guy that can help. I got recruited to D1 schools both in US & Canada like UC Irvine, Michigan, Hawaii, Toronto and more. I am from a small island in Canada, where no coaches or scouts ever came to watch me play. I never played on a pro academy or national team as well...
The biggest mistake I made was not starting out the reaching out process earlier. I was relying on my coaches to help me make connections. But they never ended up helping me at all.
So, I started reaching out to coaches to try to get on a team. Here is the exact step-by-step process that I did and you can also copy it as well.
step 1: create a highlight tape that involves all your plays in one game. This shows that you have consistent good plays multiple times in a game. Include your best plays in the beginning. Make sure your videos are HD. pro tip: use a red circle to make it clear for the coaches where you are.
step 2: create an email template that will get coaches attention. Coaches get multiple emails a day so you need to make sure yours stand out. Don't be generic and be personable. Explain how you can be an asset to the team and the school.
Step 3: Get references and create a resume. From all the players that I've helped so far, this is one thing that almost no one is doing but helps significantly. You have to think of this process like you are applying for a job. You gotta explain where you have played, your accomplishments, and more importantly references. The better your reference = the more chance you will have.
Step 4: Start emailing any coaches you can find. Eventually, you will start to get emails back and in conversations with them. What you are going to want to do is then start leveraging each email to your advantage. For example, if a school is interested in you, they will ask for where you are in your college recruitment process. You then want to explain how you are already talking to different schools. This makes you valuable in coaches eyes.
Step 5: Always keep your grades and GPA high as possible. This gives you a much more of a chance to get scholarships for both academic and athletics.
I hope this helps. If you want my templates that I've used and more detailed breakdown of each process, you can join my free community where I teach over 100 students to do the same! If I can do it, so can anyone!

Why are the rules in college soccer so drastically different from FIFA?
I was intrigued by Vermontβs Cinderella run so I had been watching their games leading up to their win last night, and I donβt think I ever realized how different NCAA soccer rules are from FIFA (clock winding down and stopping, unlimited subs etc.).
Is there a reason the rules are so different? Is it because theyβre similar to US high schools? Being that decent number of high level college players will end up playing in some level of pro league, Iβm amazed how itβs so different
