[Chouinard] Trae Young now has 11,000+ career points and 4000+ career assists. He is the 2nd youngest (LeBron) and 2nd fastest (Oscar Robertson) to those marks in NBA history.
With tonight's win vs the Bulls, Trae Young has eclipsed the 11000 point marker in 436 games. In his career, with just one All-NBA selection, he is also #3 in career APG and #13 all time in career PPG. The age old question must be asked: Is Trae Young overrated? Is he a winning player? Find out next time on r/nba

The Kings just went 0-5 in their 5 game homestand.
The Kings lose their 5th straight game for the first time in the Sabonis era and for the first time since January 2022. All those losses being at home.
Should the Kings start tanking? Rebuild? Fire someone trade someone?
I'm sad and the Beam is sad.

The 2024-2025 Detroit Pistons (14-17) have matched the win total of the 2023-2024 Detroit Pistons (14-68)
An improbable win over the Sacramento Kings (19 point comeback, ending with a 4-point play by Ivey) notches the 14th win for the Pistons’ 24-25 campaign. They will exceed last year’s win total (as long as they don’t lose the next 51 games in a row…)
Things are finally looking optimistic for Cade and the Pistons!

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in 20 games since Chet got injured: 33.3 PPG, 6 APG, 5.6 RPG, 2.2 SPG, 52.3 FG%, 38.5 3PT%, 64.1 TS% with a 16-4 record.
Shai is putting up incredible numbers all across the board without his second-best player. OKC's roster is "stacked" but anybody watching their games will tell you how inept the offense can be without him, and how much he's holding it down. It has been normalized and expected for OKC to win all these games even without their second-best player, which is incredible. It is a true testament to SGA's ability.

After turning the ball over 3 times tonight, which is the lowest for any team in a game this season, the Thunder still have more steals (346) than turnovers (337). No team in NBA history has ever been within 180 steals of having more steals than turnovers.
The Thunder only had 4 steals tonight which ties their season low, but they made up for it by only turning the ball over 3 times, the lowest for any team in a game this season. The Thunder still have 27 more steals than turnovers. No team since steals have been recorded has ever had more steals than turnovers. OKC is on pace to just brush past that benchmark. Here is a table of the top seasons by steals minus turnovers, courtesy of Basketball Reference:
Year | Team | STL-TOV |
---|---|---|
2024-25 | OKC | 9 |
2022-23 | TOR | -184 |
1993-94 | SEA | -209 |
2011-12 | PHI | -212 |
1998-99 | MIN | -215 |
As you can see, there are two teams from shortened seasons on this list, which shows that OKC is likely not going to maintain this level of defense and taking care of the ball, but barring tragic circumstances, they should hold the record in STL-TOV at the end of the season.

Hawks set an NBA season high of 50 4th QTR points behind Trae Young (16 PTS, 2 AST, 4-5 FG, 6-6 FT) and Jalen Johnson (11 PTS, 4 REB, 2 AST, 4-5 FG, 3-4 FT) to successfully come back from a 21 point deficit
Absolutely sublime performances from Trae, who finished with 27 PTS and 13 AST on 67.2% TS, and Jalen Johnson, who finished with 30 PTS, 15 REB, 4 AST and 2 STL on 75.2% TS.
Also strong contributions from DeAndre Hunter (25 PTS), Zaccharie Risacher (16 PTS, 5 REB, 3 AST) and Dyson Daniels (15 PTS, 7 REB, 4 AST) - Risacher's shooting sparked the comeback, which was finished to perfection by 3-headed snake of Jalen, Trae and Dyson.
