2 tubes showed up under the Merceders Benz V250d 2021, What is that?

TLDR: Do all E550 coupes vibrate at freeway speeds or is it just mine?

After 10 years driving a wonderfully smooth 2010 E350 sedan, I picked up a well equipped 2015 E550 coupe with 55k miles. Test drove it, and other than a bit of vibration at highway speeds it was great. So I bought it.

I thought I could live with the vibration but it’s starting to bug me because I’ve experienced how smooth an E class can be.

I took it in to a dealer to get the wheels “force balanced” (whatever that is). They couldn’t get them all quite right, and claimed the tires were out-of-round, and quoted $1500 to replace the nearly new tires on the car. They also did an inspection and said everything else was in good shape.

I am looking at a 2015 E400 in the next couple of days, which has the same M276 motor my super smooth E350 had (with a couple turbos). I’m hoping it’s as smooth, but the extra 60hp will be nice. But I do like everything about the 550 except the vibrations.

My question is whether my tires are really the cause of the freeway vibrations at my preferred cruising speed of 75-85mph, and if anyone with an E550 would call it a smooth highway ride. I wouldn’t mind getting new tires if I knew it would help.

I am not having much luck finding this little chrome piece on ebay or online anywhere in leu of buying a whole new grille. Would someone here maybe have access to an extra piece of chrome trim? I would gladly pay for it. Even open to someone 3d printing a replacement and I could paint it. Pic attached and thank you so much! This is for a 2015 S550.

I’ve been looking at multiple 2012-13 s550s and have been planning to buy one soon. Then I came across I really clean 2010 s63 and I’m thinking about shelling out the extra cash for it. Looking for some insight on how they stack up to each other. Reliability wise, maintenance cost wise, performance wise(pretty much know the answer to that one but still how do they compare), quality wise, etc.

My wife has a 22 GLB, we got the remote start on the app so she can heat her car before work in the morning. Everyday she remote starts the car, she gets in and the car is still freezing cold. I’ve even tried setting the heat to Hi and blower to full blast before turning the car off prior to getting out. Still nothing. Anyone know what the issue could be?

I’m looking to buy a 2-door W204. I was originally interested in a C250 but I’m thinking of a C300 now due to the 4MATIC capabilities as the winter weather is icy here. I tried searching up 2-door C300s but can’t find any. Was this just not produced? Another way to ask this questions is: “Was the 2-door W204 only available with the C250 or C350 badge?”

I was talking to Tornado tuning, as of right now they recommend an aftermarket intercooler (bigger and more efficient), and the GFB VTA T9488. I’m thinking about getting their aluminum intake pipe, silicon intercooler pipes, and maybe the turbo muffler delete. Is there anything else you guys recommend? Or is this a good start? I already replaced my HPFP and fuel sending unit as well, and I’m getting the transmission service done before the tune. Lastly, probably a dumb question that I can answer myself but I should probably get these parts before the tune right?

2015 c204 c250

I have a 1980 450SL that was leaking fluid from the power steering pump. I bought a rebuild kit and replaced all the gaskets. It stopped leaking but now the power steering will not work. Does anyone know if this is the correct steering pump for this year/model or if there are any pumps that can be interchanged?

Got a w203 c350 recently and I'm in the process of mechanically and structurally restoring it. One thing on my list is a manual transmission swap. From my research and understanding the 6 speed manual from m272 engines models fits directly onto the m273 V6 and so I will be buying a manual c180 as a parts car as it seems cheaper and easier than trying to find gearbox, propshaft and other necessary things I'll need on eBay and other sites.

My main query is whether I'll need any items other than what I will find on a c180 like any ECUs or whether the ECU will need recoding. I've heard it'll need a parking gear sensor job which I assume is to tell the car it is in park so that the key can be removed. Any information on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help :)

Now here is an example of older W140 which has over 1.4 mil km which is close to milion miles getting sold for over 8000 euros which is about $10 000. A model with lower millage such as 100-150 000 miles would be in some countries in europe be 20-25 thousand dollars or even more. Why is it so expensive compared to the w126 which u can still find for couple thousand dollars or the E38 which goes for way less than what the S class W140 goes for. The price of the W140 sky rocketed in the last couple years meanwhile the older model the W126 who is also legendary did not sky rocket as much can anyone explain why is the W140 model so expensive compared to other similar models and why did the price sky rocket in couple of years.
