1980 450SL Steering Pump Issue
galleryI have a 1980 450SL that was leaking fluid from the power steering pump. I bought a rebuild kit and replaced all the gaskets. It stopped leaking but now the power steering will not work. Does anyone know if this is the correct steering pump for this year/model or if there are any pumps that can be interchanged?

Is this a real Brabus? I thought it was a G63 because of how it sounded but then I saw the B on the front. License plate report says it's a G350D - if so, which Brabus is it?

The CLA 2026 does not use Geely engine
m.d1ev.comOliver Locher, senior executive vice president at Mercedes-Benz China Investment, has refuted the rumour that the new CLA will use an Geely engine. Previously Chinese websites reported that the CLA would use an engine made by Geely and HORSE or that Geely's Thor electric hybrid 8848 system would be used.
The engine is actually 100% developed by Mercedes. Another spokesperson from Mercedes says that the automaker cooperates with Geely on some engine parts, but the engine is produced in-house. It seems to be true though that the Mercedes is having software problems. The management says testing is being rigorously carried out and they will hopefully keep up with the schedule and production will begin in 2025. Chinese websites report that production is delayed to August from April due to software issues.

Considering buying an Eqe with a small catch
galleryHi guys, I went today and I saw a super nice Eqe for a really nice price. It’s an 2023, Eqe 350+ with the colors I want inside and outside, it’s have 19k mileage and clean title.
It have small ding on the hood and I wonder if it’s worth it. I deduct 3,500$ for it. The price for the veichle is 36,200$. I’ll be out the door in less than 40k. Thoughts?
Thank you!

What do I need for a C350 manual swap?
Got a w203 c350 recently and I'm in the process of mechanically and structurally restoring it. One thing on my list is a manual transmission swap. From my research and understanding the 6 speed manual from m272 engines models fits directly onto the m273 V6 and so I will be buying a manual c180 as a parts car as it seems cheaper and easier than trying to find gearbox, propshaft and other necessary things I'll need on eBay and other sites.
My main query is whether I'll need any items other than what I will find on a c180 like any ECUs or whether the ECU will need recoding. I've heard it'll need a parking gear sensor job which I assume is to tell the car it is in park so that the key can be removed. Any information on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help :)

High Km reliable Diesel?
Company cars got me used to a new 2021 CLA 180D amg pack, now the EQA 300 but i am going to finance my own car. Want to keep it cheap (5000- 8000€) but got so used to a nice mercedes interior.
I am looking into a high km diesel as those are usually cheaply sold at 200k km but still reliable enough to last another 100
Looking into: - C200D before 2007 - C200D after 2007 - E? - S?
Thoughts?
