Anyone switched from Samsung to iPhone? Discussion
Loke the title says, has anyone here owned a Samsung Galaxy before and then switched to iPhone? I'm thinking about doing that, currently have the Galaxy S24 and thinking of getting the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I want to see if anyone has made a similar change before and what it was like adapting to a phone and system you've not used before.

u/Thunderstorm-1 iPhone 11 Pro Max 1d ago
I did that 5 years ago, changing from a mid range Samsung A5 to a 11 pro max.
The improvement in performance was very noticeable, and I got used to iOS pretty fast. Not too difficult to get used to iOS imo

Switching from Android to iOS was easy for me - switching from Windows to MacOS took a while.

I love my Mac OS, I hated everyday I went to work and had to switch to Windows - it's such a clunky interface.
2
u/Shleepy1 14h ago
Yes, after the switch I don’t want to go back. My workflow is too good now and I hate the way Microsoft is going with Windows 11 and integrated ads etc
2
u/Ok_Silver_3170 12h ago
There is that, and there is how the interface just seems more intuitive with a Mac. And I really love how well the touch pads are on the MacBook Air works, I've grown to really hate having to use a mouse.
2
u/Shleepy1 12h ago
Absolutely! The touchpads were the absolute best I tried back then and immediately won me over.

I did 2 years ago. I have always liked Apple's UI so I decided to give it a try. At the start it was a little weird and slightly disappointing because I used to customise my phone a lot and I frequently used the split screen function on Samsung. There are a lot more limitations that I found on my first week of using my iPhone. But after getting used to it, iPhone is a great phone. I sometimes miss my Samsung but I don't regret changing to iPhone. Will I switch back to Samsung in future? Maybe, but I think I will be sticking to iPhone for at least 5 years more.
8
u/SGTArend 23h ago
Yes, multitasking is lacking (no split screen), and some other functions (can’t scroll screenshot or no clipboard, etc.) but overall, iPhone is simple and feels polished. Took my wife like 4 months to be “okay” with iPhone but after nearly 2 years, she still despises it! Shes an Android (specifically Samsung Galaxy) girl, through and through! I feel bad having had her try it! Nothing but complaints. Some I understand, others I just give her crap for because they’re not THAT big of a deal 😅

I had made the switch from S20FE as my primary to iPhone 13 as my primary. Now I have iPhone 16 Pro as primary and S24 Ultra as my secondary. I like the smoother and better display, better keyboard support, better multitasking on Android though as I an advanced user I had no trouble in using iPhone as my primary device. There are minor annoyances like the keyboard switches to IOS keyboard from time to time, out of the box homescreen customization is still behind Android, picture-in-picture works better on Android(for eg. WhatsApp video calls), no universal back Swipe on both sides of the screen. It will take some time to get used to the new interface though you should be fine once you're out of this phase in 3 or so months.

u/PrinceOfBoo 1d ago
At this moment, people starting from Gen X should not have trouble switching between iOS and Android or Mac and Windows.
7
u/BathroomFew6180 1d ago
If you can afford it just get the iPhone and keep both so that if anything you still feel good about it all.

I did almost exactly this a couple of weeks ago (albeit I moved from s24u to pixel 9pro cl in September of last year, then from my pixel to my 16 pro max at the end of December!
Being a lifelong android user who has never had an iPhone I was suitably worried, but it was actually a really simple switch (even more of a surprise as I was all in on google photos/drive etc. But even shift all of this to iCloud was simple)
Of course it took me a day or 2 to get used to the phone itself (simple things like where various settings are, and getting used to a slightly different keyboard layout) but all in all it was a breeze (I would have done it years ago had I known how simple it would be!

u/Fiorix1725 13h ago
I switched from the S24 to the 16 pro and wish I could go back to Samsung. The features I lost I realized how important they were to me. Lack of customization, terrible keyboard, among other things are the big ones for me.
8
u/pikachis 1d ago
A bit outdated but I moved from the Galaxy S3 to the iPhone 5S back in the day and got accustomed pretty well. Apple prides itself on being easy to use so you should have no issues. There’s just no back button so you’ll get used to swiping from the left side of the screen to go back
4
u/Patient_Risk9266 iPhone 16 Pro 1d ago
Been an iPhone user since the first one and just learned, from you - the swipe left is a back button…

u/Odd-Addendum-8618 23h ago
I only miss the app from Samsung that allows you to use custom navigation. Navigation on the iPhone is really bad with one hand! Having to tap back on the top left corner. Who the hell comes up with it.
3
u/StealthilyWealthy 14h ago
Bro you know you can swipe the bottom of the screen right?
2
u/Odd-Addendum-8618 13h ago
You never used galaxy? It’s so much better at handling navigation gestures for one hand use.
9
u/Naus1987 23h ago
I own both the s24 ultra and the 16 pro.
My ultimate conclusion is that you need to figure out what’s best for you and seek the system that provides that best. There will be trade offs regardless.
—-
The biggest dealbreaker for me is that Android notifications aren’t as useful to me as Apple notifications.
I want my text messages to show text while my phone is locked and Android only does icons. Never displayed text.
I need text to show on the phone’s Always on Display WHILE also locked. Apple does it.
—-
The second biggest reason I chose Apple was for a smaller phone. My last two being the s24 ultra and a 14 pro max. This time I went with a 16 pro. Not max.
I’m sure there’s good Android phones that are smaller with equal hardware. But I didn’t get that far.
—-
My third reason is mag safe. I use MagSafe charging all over my house and office. I love just clicking my phone on a charging Magnet and then forgetting about it. No worry about alignment.
I had tried two separate MagSafe compatible cases with the s24 ultra and found them to be unreliable. Worked 90% of the time. But never perfect. iPhone offers perfect MagSafe.
With all of this said. The s24 is a fantastic phone. I feel the screen is prettier.
It gets notifications an easy 5-10 seconds sooner than my iPhone which I loathe for the iPhone.
I also love the fingerprint reader.
I don’t like extreme comparisons. Because there is no one size fits all. You need to evaluate what you specifically as an individual needs and then find the right phone for you.
For me. I need a phone I can snag on a magnet 4 feet away and read incoming messages as they arrive without unlocking or touching my phone.

u/Deepcookiz 22h ago
You can absolutely get full text notifications on always on display

u/tyno994 22h ago
About your first point, on android it is a privacy setting. You can choose whether or not to show the content of your notification when the screen is locked. I don't own a Samsung but on my Motorola device the setting is in Home & Lock Screen -> Lock Screen -> Privacy

I can literally choose the message content to show on lockscreen , it's just under the settings ( show notification content on lockscreen)

I did over Christmas and hated the experience. I switched back to my S22 Ultra again and will most likely get the S25 ultra this year.
My issues were:
No multitasking split screen
Bluetooth connectivity issues between my headphones to my car audio and back to headphones
Swiping up from the bottom every time you pull down for notifications
Poor keyboard and autocorrect suggestions
No grouped notifications, instead there's a long list of notifications
Switch to iOS app is terrible, doesn't move app preferencess, loggin details, backups stored on Google drive. In WhatsApp you can't access your Google drive backup as it's stored on iCloud, so pretty much lost alot of my message history. It's only good for transferring over your text messages and pictures.
Re-login to every app, including battle net, banking, Reddit, WhatsApp, signal, telegram, messenger, Facebook, etc.
What was good about the experience:
The screen is nice
Animations were really smooth

Galaxy S5 to iPhone 6S - never needed to go back.
From the first Galaxy S to the S6 I flashed almost three times per week to have the latest and leanest OS, but in the end everything was just there yet.
The first 2 iPhones I did a jailbreak, but as of IOS11 I didn't even bother anymore
The same apps on both appstores, or you need to have some ultraspecific needs.

u/coldwar83 1d ago
I did that from being a hardcore Samsung fan 6 years ago. Switched from an S8 to an IPhone 8+ and then never looked back. Then got the iPhone 11, 13PM, 15P and now 16PM.

I did just recently, got an iPhone 16 pro. There are somethings that android just does better, customization, widgets, user interface (finding things is easy because settings make sense). But apple hardware is amazing, I was already in the Mac eco system with my MacBook Pro and iPad. I loved being able to add tags, I’m a pharmacist and I work as a contractor outside of me regular jobs. Being able to tag invoices is such a big thing for me since it determines me keeping track of who has paid me or who hasn’t android doesn’t have any feature that comes close to what apple can do for emails/invoices. Calendar syncing is also world class I never have to worry about events not syncing anymore and overall usability on iPhone for the things you need to use daily is so high. I’d love to stay android but when my iPhone helps me make an extra 1-2k each weekend I’ll happily pay whatever apple premium and give up some of the things I miss about android. My biggest things were battery life, beautiful hardware, a device that just worked, battery life, minimal ads, no bloatware. iPhone started ticking all of the boxes I wanted as I got a bit older and started working I’d have a hard time going back to android now.

TL:DR (sorry for the length, just my experience and opinions as asked for) ➡️
I’ve been on both nearly 50/50 since 2012.
iPhone 4, S3 briefly, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6s, Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S9+, S10, iPhone XS, iPhone 13 Mini, and now iPhone 14 Pro (tried the S24 & S24U, around launch and in December again, to see if I could do it).
I love both for what they offer! Have some gripes of each too.
Wife is a lifelong Android user and lover. I convinced her to give iPhone a chance and she got the 13 mini back in April 2023. She’s hated it since day 1 and I regret having her try it out. Shes pointed out a lot of things about it that suck compared to Android / Galaxy, such as: no clipboard, no universal back button (gestures are inconsistent), customization implementation was/is terrible (when trying to move an app on the control panel, and mixing up a ton of them already set up was/is aggravating to say the least), can’t schedule texts with anyone (only iPhone users), cursor fights you (need to hold down and drag to get it where you want it - which also doesn’t always work as intended, compared to a simple tap on Samsung Galaxy as an example, and it goes exactly where you intended), issue with when I’m viewing notifications on the notification screen, my iPhone thinks I’m done reading something and the screen will go black, at less than 30 seconds of having gotten on the screen like WTF no, I’m still reading these, hello, and the zoom capabilities are subpar!
Why Android (specifically Samsung in our experience) is better: circle to search is great (yes I know this is a Google thing, not just Samsung), better battery life (comparing S24U specifically to my iPhone 14 Pro), reverse wireless charging (not an option on iPhones), Quickshare works with anyone vs AirDrop which is only iPhone to iPhone, volume controls for different things (alarms, system, notifications, etc. vs iPhones only one option when pressing volume buttons), snooze control (any time you want vs iPhones default and only option of 9 minutes), much easier file management system and ease of transferring photos on a PC (have had nothing but problems with trying to move pics/videos to PC with an iPhone - isn’t as simple as plugging into a computer and drag and drop, never works that easy), media doesn’t auto upload to Google Photos on an iPhone but does in the background with Android - specifically Galaxy again, notification history which is very convenient for when you accidentally swiped away a notification you should’ve or meant to have kept, edge panel Quick drawer for shortcuts if you will, from anywhere on the screen = very convenient and helpful, an actual clipboard!, universal back button, scroll capture (far superior to iPhones one page screenshots), webpages don’t constantly reload (issue my wife has had on her 13 Mini which I too on my 14 Pro have experienced), texts don’t get cut off while typing (if you type too much in a text, you can no longer see what you were responding to on iPhones and have to highlight all, cut, then read and paste to continue typing, or type a response in a note? 🤮, just to name a few!
I’d be a fool to think Apple is ACTUALLY better as an overall phone (I ain’t no fool). I can easily see that!
It’s just a matter of, will I go to the next Galaxy, Pixel, wait for the 17 Pro to decide then, wait til Black Friday, or wait until 2026 and get the next latest Galaxy.
I truly DON’T know! But I do know, Android is easily, without a shadow of doubt, better, in almost every way (minus iMessage = better than Google Messages in my opinion, as it really does just work, in my experience, and is consistent which I cannot say for Google Messages, text to pay (I use this to send my mother in law money for the phone bill, which is very convenient!, accessories are better like AirPods/Apple Watch, location sharing live in text chat, reply to specific messages). I truly do love Dynamic Island and find it useful and easy to bring something up quick and then have it available but not taking up the screen, Face ID truly is superior to Samsung’s facial recognition system and fingerprint sensor (terrible imo as I get dry fingers in the winter and it won’t recognize em, and can’t see my face in the dark as flawlessly as Face ID), better customer support and availability of store nearby and easy to text Apple Support, video stabilization is better on iPhone, I prefer the animations and emojis on iPhones too. That’s about it!
I wasn’t a fan of the size/weight and sharp corners of the S24 Ultra (personal preference). I loved the size and weight of the base S24! But I wasn’t wowed enough by the cameras aside from zoom capabilities of the Ultra, but again, quality wasn’t amazing enough for me to switch.
I’ve heard that Apple never had any conversations or plans to charge for AI (Apple Intelligence) whereas apparently Samsung AI will be charged after its first year, like Gemini on Pixels (is this true? Idk).
I almost feel stuck as I have so many notes now in Apple Notes, shareable with my wife, and iPhones iOS 18 implementation of built in password management is amazing! I also love Apples Live Sports App.
Again, there’s pros and cons to each, and I am very much split down the middle 50/50 on whether I’ll move back to Android or stay on iPhone. I’d say majority (85-90%) of those I know and talk to, have an iPhone, so therein lies the pro of staying (with the whole security / encryption thing), vs cross platform comms not being secure. I’m also intrigued by the latest renders of the 17 Pro series having that Pixel-esque look of the rear camera module, but at the top, and finally catching up by having all cameras 48 (or 50?) MP, and the selfie camera being 24MP. If iPhones finally catch up come then, I may end up pissing off my wife (not intentionally) by getting another iPhone and NOT jumping ship. It’s about convenience and what works best for a person. As much as I’d like to piss and moan about iPhones and lack of innovation and little things, I’m also beyond my days of caring quite so much about customization and am mostly satisfied with the user experience I get out of them now vs the amazing capabilities of an Android (Samsung specifically).

I switched from a pixel 7 pro to an iPhone 16 PM. It took me like half an hour to get used to it. Before that I had a Samsung Galaxy Note

I’ve just switched from a Z Fold 5 to a 16 Pro Max and I can honestly say I much prefer the iPhone.
I did have an iPhone 5 years ago but it stopped working so I bought a Nexus 5X and has been Android since.
iOS has come a long way since I used it on my 5. It feels so well polished and customisable.
I did transition from Windows to macOS a while ago which has helped in the transition from android to iPhone. All my passwords, photos, messages and everything else sync. It’s great!

u/whatuseisausername 1d ago
I never had a Samsung, but I have gone from an iphone to Google pixel 2 and back to an iphone. It's honestly not that much different imo. After a day or two you get used to it. I miss some aspects about Android. Like I definitely miss the ability to customize the phone with different launchers and icon packs and such. And while I find iMessage a little better, I used Textra primarily on Android and it had some features I miss. Overall, I think the apps on iphone are a little more consistent in quality, and I like that Apple prioritizes privacy moe compared to other companies.

Used to own S22 ultra before switching to 14 PM. I miss that phone. Samsung flagships offer more flexibility and better battery performance.

Had an iPhone all my life, did the switch to S23 Ultra last year. Switched back to apple just because my car only had apple car play lmao (didn’t wanna go aftermarket).
I love both, you’ll love both once you get used to iPhone but I can guarantee you you’ll miss some things about the Samsung

u/Ok-Throwaway42 12h ago
I’m about to leave iPhone for Pixel. Apple just doesn’t have the same feel it used to.
2
u/ShadowSythe7 12h ago
Switched from an S24U to the 16PM…Apple just makes things simpler in my opinion. I will probably get a Fold or something in the future just to dabble in that industry, but for now, my iPhone works just fine. Grabbed mine in Natural Titanium!
2
u/Mitlov 11h ago
Yes I have. Galaxy S3, Note 7 (briefly, lol), S7 Edge, one more I can’t reminder the name of, then iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
I think the cameras are more reliable on the iPhone. Both took good pictures but iPhone is more consistent.
I think swipe keyboard options worked better on Android and preferred having a dedicated back button. I find Android widgets to be more useful than iOS widgets.
iMessage is great for sending large video files to family and coworkers who also have iPhones.
I use a Windows PC and moving photos from phone to PC was much better with Samsung than with iPhone.
I find that Galaxy phones started to “feel old” (lag, etc) at about two years, and iPhones start to feel that way at about three years. Just my experience.

u/Jeb15Br_ 11h ago edited 11h ago
I used Samsung all my life until last year, when I switched to the iPhone 15, and I say that I'm enjoying the experience, yes, I think iOS is very beautiful, very practical, the cameras are excellent and the phone is extremely beautiful, and I love the Dynamic Island, makes some functions more practical and shows some information. 1 negative point is the battery, which for some reason, Apple puts at around 3300 mAh, very little by today's standards. Overall I'm satisfied, my next phone will be a Pro Max.
2
u/james-kissed 11h ago
Biggest change was managing settings. Located in different place as compared to android. also there was the customization downgrade, but that's basically disappeared now with the newer iOS versions.
2
u/Professional_Ad_5862 11h ago
Started from iPhone 5 and never looked back, gone through 5, 5s, 6 plus, 7 plus, x max, 11pm, 13pm, 14pm, 15pm skipped 16 will get 17
2
u/angel_est_312 11h ago
Oh, boy! Multiple times. S23U > 14PM 14PM > 15PM > S24U S24U > 15PM > 16PM
Both are usually good brands but you will struggle with the Samsung camera if you want to take pictures of moving objects, Samsung batteries also seem to degrade faster (not sure if it’s related to the 45W charging).
Getting used to iOS is not difficult, while iOS has gotten buggier and a bit less intuitive than before, it’s still a far more consistent expectation than what you would get on Samsung.
The issue with Android is that there are different interfaces Google, Samsung, developers using Material Design, Material You. It’s frustrating sometimes.

If you use your phone anything other than Phone Messages and camera, you will have bad time. There are times I wanted to throw my 16Pro against a wall. Simplest of the things on android are much complicated on iOS. It feels like a stone age device.

Went from Note9 to S20 FE to my 13 Pro. I miss fingerprint readers, chat bubbles, multi-volume control, Wifi scanning, photo management , and USB storage plug-in.
But smoother software overall and the ecosystem is hard to beat. Getting a battery replacement before my big vacation in April so hopefully rocking another year and a half.

I only owned Samsung phones before my iPhone. I had the S3, S5, S7, S9, and the Note 20. The Note 20 was what drove me away from Samsung. The constant buggy software, the charging port that went out twice in a year, and the slowness drove me crazy. I’ve had the iPhone 14 Pro now for almost 2 years and I haven’t looked back.

I went from an S10 to a 15 Pro. There’s definitely a learning curve at the beginning, and there are things you’ll like less (inferior keyboard, arbitrary network speed limits if you use your phone as a hotspot, inability to see WiFi channels directly), but for daily usage I’m completely happy with my decision. Also it just feels nice to know I’ll likely get security updates all the way into 2030.

Went from an S9 to a iPhone 11 several years ago. Always had a mix of iPads / iPods and android phone so was used to different OS already.
My reason was a bit unique in I work outside and the iphone better at managing the cold, had a Christmas shift outside in sub-0° temperatures and my old phone couldn’t hack it, and I had to make calls to test certain equipment from their control station. Phone ended up saying it was dead, finally finished 10 hours in a elevated work platform, put my phone on charge in the warm van, and it booted right up and said I still had 80%. It just didn’t work in the cold and I needed something more reliable.
Other than innovation like folding phones hardware wise & multi-tasking features like splitscreen I find most phones are more or less the same these days, so there wont be any learning curve, just settings are in different places I guess. I also miss being able to just install apk files on the phone, iphone its a lot less convenient to do that.

When Verizon upgraded their network locally, my ancient Samsung flip phone no longer worked. On impulse, I bought an iPhone 14+, the flagship. No instructions, or even a getting started slip, and where was the charger? It took two trips to the seller to learn how to just turn it on and off and that my old chargers were not powerful enough to charge. After several calls with Apple Support, the iPhone works good enough for calls, texts, Jango Radio, and three games. Siri failed to set an alarm twice during set up so I disabled Siri. Trying both cable and WiFi, my contacts didn’t transfer right, so I use my old phone for my contact list. I really didn’t want to enter them all again onto the iPhone. My hearing aids are Bluetooth and paired easily.
I will use the iPhone as long as it works for voice and text. It was over $900 cash, with the Apple Care insurance, so I am not getting rid of it or trading for a newer model. No regrets as I was curious about the iOS. Being retired, my backup entry level Samsung A14 would have been enough for my uses. YMMV, but I have no vanity about brands.

Switched from S24 Ultra to now iPhone 16 Pro Max (to regular 16pro at first, but after a week I sold it and went for pro max, regular was way too small and battery was bad compared to ultra).
Been samsung user for more than 10 years. My day to day work is related to phones, so I was not totally new to ecosystem, but still, was big move.
In short my take away is the same as most people - there are really nice stuff like ecosystem of apple devices that work super well together, performance is great and so on... The bad as for everyone else - keyboard situation is just tragic, same goes for notification system. And in general apple forcing "their way" on user's.
If you have any specific questions ask :)
P.s. I like it overall and I will be stying in apple for some time.

I moved in 2015 and never looked back. Great ecosystem. It has its quirks but which system does not? The problem with iOS is politicians who want Apple to open up the platform which would eventually screw it.

u/Aegwyn028 20h ago
In 2019or 2020 from Samsung S10+ for my partners IPhone X never looked back , now I have an 14PM

I switched from iPhone 14 to S24 Ultra (for one year) and then back to iPhone 16 Pro Max.
I feel like I could write a book on the experience. There are still many things I think Android does waaaaay better than iOS, but overall I’m happy with iPhone.

u/Strict-Aspect6716 20h ago
22 ultra to 15 pro. Got a hell of deal through Verizon promotion. Still have my ultra since I had to add a line. But it's rendered as back up phone since I am a trucker I like having a emergency phone just in case my main got broken
1
u/itsMini_Man 20h ago
Nov '24 went from S21 Ultra to 15 Pro Max. My first ever Apple product.
I like how the iPhone feels in the hand, it's slightly smaller. The camera is good. The screen is pretty. Speakers are very good. The app store is nice. Apple pay is good.
I dislike the no universal back button on the iPhone. The keyboard is not very good. The alarm app sucks. I dislike how notifications work.
Not much in it these days.

u/Old_Resort_8348 20h ago
It’s honestly refreshing because everything just works.
Samsungs and most other android phones have weird quirks and issues that you don’t realize they have until you have an iPhone and everything just works.

u/--Lemmiwinks-- 20h ago
I switched this week. S22+ to a iPhone 13 mini. I found the 22+ too large and cumbersome. I wanted to move away from Google so i could host my own data. So far it's been a good experience.

u/Audi_0000_Lady 20h ago
Switched from Note 10+ 5g to iPhone 13 Pro Max and I will never look back! My whole family is on apple now and even my pc got switched out for an iMac. I’m a heavy tech user who works in tech. I will NEVER return to android or windows.

u/PracticalDark4372 20h ago
Just moved from GUS22, the beginning was terrifying, but now I find myself using my IP 16 pro max a lot more than the galaxy for practical day to day applications. The battery is 50x better and feels like all apps were developed with iOS first and foremost in mind.
There is a lot I miss about one ui, but not enough to compensate for the better battery and productivity I get from iPhone
1
u/Voidoli 20h ago
I had a S20 Europe version and switched back to my older 2018 IPhone XS max. Atrocious phone because the european version used the the Samsung exynos instead of 865 (the 865 s20 had a much better reputation). It emits a lot of heat in normal use and that was my first andriod phone, the first time I feel heat I thought it is going to blow up. Still using my XS max to date with a new battery.

u/Jazzlike_Custard_274 19h ago
I think the transition from Samsung to iPhone requires you to chill a little bit on the limited customizations/configurations available on iOS. Once you accept that it's a much more closed system in terms of what you can do with it, but it's probably going to "just work", you will be alright. I've been back and forth with switches, and the main reason is being bored by iPhone, or mad at android for not doing something right.
Now, I've settled on iPhone and plan to keep it longer.
Edit: typo

I went from the S21 ultra to iPhone 14 PM (have the 16PM now) but the transition was smooth I mean a phone is a phone. The things I did miss right away was the customization and at the time u could place icons where you wanted, now u can. Notifications are better on android in my opinion. Other than that it just works great messaging pictures became better and the way everything is just easy to pair and use is great

u/solidgun1 19h ago
I use Fold 6 for work and 16pro for personal. Some features are lacking but getting used to an iPhone is easy. But you will notice over time that some of the features that are advanced on android isn’t there on iphone that seems so intuitive.
1
u/alsndrfzio 19h ago
As other people say, you are going to miss a lot of features, most importantly for me the ability to download cracked apps without having to go through a tedious process, but the quality of any interaction is just better, more fluid.
Also the fact that you can just take out your phone and take a picture, with instagram or whatsapp, without worrying about lighting conditions or having to stay still.
I have always hated iPhones and iOs, but it is way better in general
1
u/Confident_Guard_2830 19h ago
Had a s21 since 2021, and now switched to the iPhone 16 pro. I’m not suffering to adapt, but definitely there are some features or some details that feels weird.
The keyboard doesn’t show a comma on the main page, you have to click the symbols button to find it.
To push the notifications or the fast settings access you can’t just push from any point of the screen, right side for options and left side for notifications.
The battery usage tab doesn’t show “since last recharge”, only shows the last 24h.
The cameras occupy a little too much space, it’s really common to put a finger above it and leave a mark on the lens.
Even tho iOS feels a lot smoother, the animations that makes you have this feeling can be a little annoying sometimes, like when you click to enter a WhatsApp chat you have to wait a bit until you can click to open the keyboard or to mark a message.
Well, I listed only the bad points I’ve felt, the experience is being really great and the I needed the change to something different. Also, many of the things I listed you will get used to, I think.
1
u/Street-Measurement51 19h ago
You’ll undoubtedly miss some minor yet convenient little tasks that Apple refuses to replicate when Samsung and Android constantly copy from Apple.
1
u/Buddha176 19h ago
NOTE 4 to iPhone XS Max. Change wasn’t too bad. I adapted quick especially with my ex had one and integrating the family settings and calender and not to mention compatibility with the Apple TV all made it well worth it for me.

u/TedSaladLightArtist 19h ago
My son went from iPhone to Samsung and has just got a new iPhone 16 because he hated the Samsung 👍
1
u/xmphilippx 19h ago
I did over the holidays. It was a painful process. Move to iOS app jumbled my messages. It did not migrate all my images nor the images in messages. After 5-6 attempts and factory resets with different versions of the app. I finally migrated the pics manually and gave up on the messages.
iOS is buggy. I’ve already had a security keypad disappear. I get a white bar at the top on some apps. I also feel the some apps don’t load as quickly. I’m on a 16 pro. The keyboard sucks… no clue why the period is hidden and the return has to 3x the size of a normal key. Some have recommended swiftkey.
On the positive… the battery life is awesome
Edit: I’m in IT and a long time Samsung galaxy user for reference.
1
u/Major_Enthusiasm1099 19h ago
I've done it plenty of times. Both have ups and downs. Samsung is more customizable but apple is still smoother than Samsung with the animations. You will miss the universal back button and some customization.

u/mrmrln42 19h ago
I have been using iphones for years and recently got the Samsung galaxy tab s9 tablet. IPad at a similar price wouldn't support some apps that I wanted and wasn't oled or 120hz.
I much prefer ios / ipados. The oneui is pretty cool, but looks all over the place. The gestures are neither unified nor natural to use. On iPhone everything just shares a design and gesture language, on android far from it. They try, but it's like 70% good on android and 95% on iPhone. I'd say that android is maybe 5 years behind ios in this, but ios was never that bad.
For example, I have 2 apps in split screen and one floating - a Samsung web browser. Now If I click the menu on the browser, there is no natural way to close it (for example by touching outside the menu, which would be very natural and should be caught on the first UI review or with a close button inside the menu ) aside from doing a back gesture from the side of the screen. Which is very weird considering this gesture is performed outside of the floating browser app.
Or another, pulling from both left and right edges of the screen goes back. There is no way fo go forward. It's unnatural that pulling from right side goes back not forward.
Or text selection. I didn't find a way to select a single word quickly. On iPhone it always selects what I want. On samsung always randomly, usually the full text. It's not a natural / human design.
I've heard that the gestures are much better in google devices. So hopefully this is just a samsung issue.

Was with Samsung for years. Switched to iPhone and love it. Am deep in the Apple ecosystem, will not be going back.
1
u/Carriebeary8 19h ago
I switched to iphone. Some things I love like the messaging app, the watch, facetime, but I miss the customization. I miss split screen. I miss being able to take a scrolling screenshot. I'll probably go back to the OnePlus open 2 when it comes out
1
u/Terminator1501 19h ago
Switched last year from s10+ to 16 pro max. I don’t think I’ll be going back to Samsung. I like the streamline that the iPhone gives.
1
u/T34MCH405 18h ago
Went from S22+ to 16 Pro Max a few weeks ago. Took me a couple days to settle in and get used to the UI differences, primarily the lack of the bottom soft buttons, but overall it was a breeze.
1
u/CoolBeansHotDamn 18h ago
My progression was
iPhone 3G Samsung infuse to S2 S4 to iPhone 7 S10 S21U 11 pro max 13 pro max S23U 13 pro max 15 pro max
I began to hate Samsung when they continued to use the stupid curved edges on the display that made it damn near impossible to use a screen protector with a case at the same time. I decided to try the S23U when it released and ended up despising the fingerprint scanner and still hating the curved display. There were a couple of other gripes but those were the main 2 that made me return it.

u/Zestyclose_South2594 18h ago
I used to hate the old Iphones that my dad had. Recently switched from S23 to IPhone 16. Smooth experience except for not being able to transfer whatsapp history.
1
u/Technical-Wallaby 18h ago
Yes, I did. I had the whole Samsung ecosystem: phone, tablet, watch, earbuds, etc.
Then, I switched to the same with Apple products, including a MacBook. Apple is much more integrated.

I did 12 years ago, I’d had an iPhone, wanted to try Samsung, then switched back to iPhone for good.

Is there a lot of brand loyalty among Android users? These questions always seem to be "Anyone switched from Samsung to iPhone", not Android to iPhone. They both have the same OS, right? Is there much difference between using a Galaxy and a Pixel, for example?

u/rylie_smiley 18h ago
I switched back in like 2016? I’d had an iPod touch and iPad prior though so I was familiar with the OS

Moved from S22 to 16 Pro after 11 years of Samsung ownership. It took me a day to get used to some of the changes, but I love it! Minor gripe is the keyboard, but you can download alternates!
1
u/galas_huh iPhone 16 Pro Max 18h ago
Went from an S22U to an iPhone. This is my first iOS device. Not that much of a difference with the hardware. note that these two phones have two years in between them, but are both purchased a month after their release. My iPhone lasts longer, though i cant tell yet how fast the battery degrades on it compared to S22U. Love the photos on my S22U more, but dang do I love iPhone's video. iOS is top notch when it comes to user experience, except for a universal 'back' capability lol.
There are certain apps that when moved from android to ios you will nto have a way to transfer data between them.
1
u/Bryanmsi89 18h ago
Yes, just did this. iPhone is a much better ecosystem access device, and many more of my friends/family/colleagues use iPhone so better there too. But I find iOS much less capable than OneUI and Android. Pick your poison I guess.

u/FireandBlood2601 18h ago
Did that from galaxy s9 to iphone 11 pro and it was the best decision ever

u/sliderfish 18h ago
Not me but my brother in law did last year. He had been a lifetime android user and swore by his Samsung, just like my wife.
One day he showed up and showed off his shiny new 15 to my wife’s utter surprise. She asked him why and he said he went to his service provider to help him fix his phone after an update and was complaint about all the things he (and my wife) always complain about. The employee told him that all his issues would be fixed by switching and guaranteed that he wouldn’t have any of those issues again or they’d replace it on the spot.
He spent the next few minutes telling my wife that (after a couple of days of getting used to it) it was the best phone he’s ever had.

S21+ to 15pro. There is good and bad. After a while you get use to how it operates and it’s very intuitive. Miss the Android keyboard. CarPlay vs AA is a wash except Google maps works better in AA. Apple Watch is better than Samsung. Form factor, digital watch should be rectangular.

u/KayArrZee 18h ago
did from my s9p to an iphone 14 pro. Took a little while to adapt to the navigation but in the end it’s all the same apps. I sometimes miss some features like the wifi reshare and the side loading of apps but somehow it still feels more like it’s my phone than with Samsung where I felt like I was the product
1
u/com2ghz 17h ago
Samsung s8+ to iPhone 11 pro max and still using it since 2019.
First I had to get used to the limitations of IOS. Then I accepted that I don’t need all those stuff. This shit just works fine. I don’t need multitasking. No need for a custom keyboard. It gave me peace in my mind because it’s rock solid. My iPhone 11 pro max still does not feel slow or old. I was done with Android that won’t last more than 3 years until your battery is dead or getting slow because apps get too bloated. Since Android allows more stuff. The biggest downside is that apps lose permissions over time. Stuff that was working suddenly stops working.

Had Android since the G1 and switch to the iPhone 6 Plus in 2014 and returned it after a week. Then I switched again a year and a half ago to the 14 pro max and I will say that Apple has made some huge improvements. Still using the 14pm and this has been my favorite phone and OS ever. I kept my Samsung and kept it charged and used both for awhile. Use the Samsung for certain games and aids I had side loaded but that phone is sitting in a drawer and has been over a year since I’ve used it. Everything i use on iOS just works. I still use Google service apps. iPhones are petty bad ass

u/MRHubrich 17h ago
I was an Apple user for the first 2 iPhones and switched to Android after due to Apple's "walled garden". After 10 or so years using various Android phones, the last few being Samsung devices, I moved to an iPhone to see how things have changed. If not for the Apple Watch, I would have switched back last year. But, because I love Apple Health and the watch (Ultra 2), and because I was sold on the promise of Apple AI, I upgraded to the latest Pro Max model.
With all of that being said, I'm not a fan. I like parts of the ecosystem but find that it's the least intuitive phone I've used in a long time. Having to leave an app to go to system settings to change some things about that app is silly. They over use gestures, features like being able to use your phone wile on your Mac only work half the time, There are too many buttons now on the sides that I find I'm hitting the power button more than I want (3 buttons on the left, 2 on the right). The camera button doesn't work very well, the overall camera experience isn't great (any sort of dark photo takes too long to actually capture).
I was expecting a flagship, top notch experience for what they charge for the phone and I don't feel that I'm getting it. Android phones are great because there's some freedom there. A lot of things can be changed if you don't like it, like installing launchers, 3rd party apps, etc. If you want a phone to just work and you're only checking emails, etc, it's a great, overpriced phone. To me, not worth what they charge.

u/Mundane-Expert7794 17h ago
Yes. It’s worth it just for Face ID. And now that you can finally use Face ID lock to protect your apps if someone steals your phone, I don’t even see the point of getting an android phone. Maybe for Bluetooth le audio.

u/TrappedKraken 17h ago
Switched from s21 ultra to 16 pro It was easy to adapt, and the phone is great, but there are a couple of niggles for sure that annoy me, overall I’m happy with my choice as android was not perfect either

Yep, switched to the iPhone 6 during covid. Upgraded to the 7 about 3 years ago and now I’m still rocking the 8. For daily use, it’s very convenient.
My coworker on the other hand, switched to an S24 after his iPhone 14 mysteriously exploded 💀

Basically a lifelong Android user, the Samsung S22 Plus was the last straw, and I went to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I don’t plan on going back! There are some getting used to here and there, but I like iOS more.
The only real thing I miss from Samsung / Android is the Separate App Sound and Clipboard (that holds the stuff you Copied). Honorable mention for DeX and Google Play Store purchaes and Modes & Routines (replaced with Shortcuts and Automation on iOS). I also did read somewhere that you can’t use USB C Ethernet on the iPhone, nor is there Reverse Wireless Charging iirc afaik.
Plus, Apple has much better resale value and FeliCa for the Japan rail system.

I have a Fold, Flip, Google 8P, And I recently got an iPhone Pro Max 16 and just based off of honest use case, I use my 16 pro max almost all the time now. I used my fold for due-diligence while trading but the m4 is just so fast I have also got an Apple m4 tablet and laptop. I have the flip synced to my ring so it's easy to keep in my back pocket, as Apple only made a pretend Samsung health app... My dad has a Samsung and because of concerns about atrial tribulation he needed a watch so I gave him my seven which I got for very cheap when I got my new fold and I'm getting the Apple watch. I am always hated Apple, at least since the mentally 2010s, I was always an Android phone user, although Apple laptop user, but it's just obvious that apples ability to have a totally integrated system and the fact that they're now being forced to use USB-C has made it much easier to enjoy the Apple ecosystem. Sure there are things I miss but now that I'm in my mid to late 30s I don't care so much about playing around like I did on the Android when I was in my twenties and early '30s, I have work to do.
Unfortunately, many of the Western apps, especially trading apps and broker jobs cater to the Apple ecosystem and so when I am day trading or doing anything that requires speed I can tell a dramatic difference in use case between using an iOS product and an Android product and it got to the point where I was almost forced to just grab an apple. When I'm trading during the day and I had an old iPhone 13 I got for free and it's giving me correct numbers faster than my fold 6 or my Google 8 Pro I knew there was a problem.

u/Librarian-Rare 17h ago
The lack of a universal back button is slightly annoying, emphasis on slightly, it’s not a huge deal. And the lack of emulators (like Dolphin) is silly if you’re into that.
Aside from that, I’ve very much enjoyed switching to Apple. Their design language is much more refined than Samsung’s within their software. Hardware, they’re probably equal. Usually the UX is better on Apple. Ecosystem lock in I have found isn’t nearly as big a deal as people say.
FaceID is better than ultrasonic fingerprint, imo. Though ultrasonic fingerprint was pretty good.

From s20 plus, switched to 16 PM I had many concerns before the switch, but worked out well for me, satisfied and never looked back. It seems to be iPhone now is perfectly mature and now is the best time to switch

u/ExtraGloves 16h ago
I did a while ago from the note 9 to a 14 pro max. Switching was very easy. There were a few things I missed from my note but over time I found my iPhone to be a much better experience overall. Plus having iMessage and FaceTime again when most people I know have iPhones helped a ton. Plus I love having an Apple Watch.
It’s pretty easy.
One trick I’ve done from a feature I had in nova launcher on my note is how I was able to swipe down from anywhere on the screen for notifications. This isn’t on iPhone. The pro max I find hard to swipe down one handed on the first try from the top of the screen so I use adaptive touch and have a mostly invisible button I can move around the screen and I double click that to bring down my notifications.
I still use googles ecosystem for most apps still. Google maps. Gmail. Keep. Also I use Google contacts and while there’s not a Google contacts app you can set it for your contacts through Apple.
You’ll love it. It’s easy.

u/neodymiumphish 16h ago
I switched in early 2024 from the Fold4 to 15PM. I think I chose the perfect time to switch. The inclusion of USB-C and a customizable Home Screen in iOS were huge draws. I still think I’d enjoy a foldable iPhone, but it’s not a requirement or even a massive draw to convince me to upgrade. The Fold4 had me constantly worried about the potential for breakage after the warranty expired.

I did the same thing a few years ago. I had the Galaxy’s series since galaxy S4… and when was time for the galaxy s22 i switched to iPhone. In a few weeks you get used to it. However, there are things, which i miss from the samsung/android. In anyway the biggest disadvantage are the prices… because then i switched the headphone, the watch… etc… and truthfully Apple are too overpriced… everything is so much expensive by apple

u/CarrotNo9280 16h ago
Hiiiii, I just changed from samsung galaxy to iphone16 a couple of days back. Honestly, it was really a bitch trasnferring stuff, or rather trying to transfer. Neither my whatsapp, nor my photos were transferring using the Move to ios app and I spent literally 2 whole days on it and gave up :(
Luckily, my contacts and some of my photos were backed up by google so I was able to transfer those smoothly by just logging into google and allowing access.
As for interface, its different but not essentially better imo. Oh and the iphone keyboard doesn't have numbers on top which is annoying me quite a bit lol. Lemme know if you have any questions :)

u/shaunydub iPhone 15 Pro Max 16h ago
I switched from Samsung (HTC Desire > Samsung S2 > Severals Windows Phone > Xiaomi Mii 10 > S Note 10+ > S21 Ultra > S22 Ultra > iphone 14 Pro Max > iphone 15 Pro Max.
The reason I moved from Android / Samsung was partly because I got a corporate iphone 12 from work and it made things easier in terms of my data but I managed a few months with iphone / S22 together and although not optimal could have continued, what pushed me was Samsungs customer services - I had a failed screen on a device less than 1 year old and the only thing they would do was let me send to a repair centre and lose the phone for 10 days - As it was esim I had no way to get transfer to an old phone I had in a draw.
There was no way to get an in store screen replacement or any kind of local repair, despite being close to Samsung German HQ.
So I changed to iphone.
I stopped doing custom roms and all these kind of things on my Android devices long ago so I didn't need that on iphone.
The things that annoy me most still are
notification handling - it's very bad on iphone vs Android.
No separate volume controls like you have on Samsung.
Internal storage; no SD card and ripped off on extra storage but they are not the only ones.
The rest I am fine with, the FaceID is amazing and stuff like airpods working on all devices is amazing.

u/ThePistachioBogeyman 16h ago
I went from S22U to 16PM
Personally I don’t think you should go from S24 to 16PM as the S24 is barely a yr old, and they’re not actually that much different in terms of power etc these days. I’d wait for the 17 at the least, and hold on to the Samsung for a bit.
If you’re doing a trade in, I guess it’d depend on the trade in value.
In terms of adapting, it was fairly easy for me, but I do use an iPad. You’ll get used to the gestures quickly. Only annoying one is the slide from the left to go back, which is really inconsistent as some apps only have an X on the top left and no slide back. And even within apps, some pop up screens only have the X and no swipe back.
Action button is great and super customisable, but camera control is only used to open the camera. Find it useless within the camera app itself. Camera itself is great, and I find it a lot more consistently good versus the Samsung camera.
Recent software (iOS itself) has been a bit buggy but nothing device breaking

u/lecheigit4072 16h ago
Yes - S7 to XR. I was an iOS user a few devices before the S7. Switching back had a “remembering” curve but was intuitive within a couple weeks.
It would have been a toss up if the S10e were out when I switched. I’m not so sure these days as I’m quite fond of iOS.

I switched from the Note 20 ultra to the iPhone 13 pro max. I used Android for many years. I needed a change, haven't looked back since. I haven't had any problems with apple. The switch isn't bad, takes a little getting use to. I'd suggest going to an apple store and checking out the phones there, just to get a feel for em.

Back when I switched to the 12, I had had the Galaxy Note 9. The size was a big difference (I wish I had gotten a 12 Pro and 128GB hard drive) but overall, I have had less software issues with iOS than I ever had with Android and Samsung’s UI.

I did a few years back. refurbed Samsung to refurbed iPhone 8. a few months I was very angry about the file system limitations and all the little things. Got used to it and found workarounds for everything I need to do. It’s absolutely ridiculous that there is no sd card slot though.
Now that I’ve finally coped, I’ll probably never go back.
(Big advantage of iOS is almost latency free audio stuff, you can use the phone for live music making.)

Switched from a s22 to iPhone 15 pro max. A bit of a learning curve. But so far so good

it's personal preference.
pros:
honed in ecosystem
the 'it just works' experience
best videos, and pictures of fast moving subjects
more optimized apps/exclusive apps
cons:
different experience if you've grown accustomed to androids
you're not in control (you don't choose the experience, apple chooses the choices for you)
keyboard sucks
inconsistent back button.
once you're in the ecosystem, its hard to get out (can be a pro/con, but if you see a special android phone in the future, switch to that will be a hastle)
I'm sticking with my s24 ultra, but I carry a iPhone 13 pro as a backup. imessage/facetime/airdrop has come in clutch (if connected to wifi), but I can't give up the customization (developer settings, goodlock), the s-pen, pro camera (ability to change iso, shutter speed), and the connection with my gaming PC.

We just switched 2 family members from flagship Samsung galaxies to 16Pro, one (teenager) is happy, the other (adult) is not so happy. iPhone does not "just work". I also had this assumption and image of Apple and their devices, and I was considering it too, but seeing how it works, and suffers from similar issues Android does, I don't think it's worth considering switching anymore unless you really like the hardware. That's the only difference, it looks better, feels better, and has much better support for repair.
I am still on S22 Ultra and would not go to iphone with the current setup because i am a heavy email user and there aren't any good 3rd party email clients and apple's mail can't replace anything android offers in that department.

I just switched from the S24 Ultra to the regular 16, and it feels so good to be back. I wanted a small phone, and the Ultramarine color was right up my alley. I agree that iOS and the ecosystem are rather rigid, but "the Apple way" fits my lifestyle for the most part so I'm okay with it.
For context, I was on a 13 Pro Max before, but it got stolen, so I decided to test Android for a little over a year and it was very cool, definitely more choice and bang for buck; I feel it took more time and effort to setup things the way I like them, but it's possible.
The Wear OS market is just bad when compared to the Apple Watch; I was using a Galaxy Watch Ultra and though battery life was very good, accuracy and app support was not.
The things I miss most about the S24 are the insane battery life and the high resolution Bluetooth codecs. Cameras are about the same imo, though I miss the amazing 5X.
Overall, if you can get along with Apple and it's way of doing things, it's a very good experience - if you don't, it's rather cumbersome to work around it. Android is way more flexible and easier to fit to your liking.

I switched to 12 pro max years ago. It was back when Samsung was forcing ads in all of their apps even if you bought the phone unlocked from Samsung.
I wound up switching back to samsung shortly after. Apple had removed some apps I was using. I was also put off by their CSAM scheme that was going to put a database on phones to check for matches when you upload to iCloud. As noble as that sounds I tend to subscribe to the slippery slope argument. Today it's CSAM, tomorrow it's spicy memes. Once they put that capability on the device it's just a matter of time before some court orders them to misuse it.
Anyway, I recently switched back. 16 pro max. Great phone. The only issue I have is with call audio quality when not using wifi calling. But I haven't really troubleshot that yet and I haven't tested it since I updated the phone yesterday.
You CAN get sucked in though. The ecosystem is so nice. All in the past month I've purchased the 16 pro max, a Mac mini, watch, now considering a MacBook air. It's nice how well it all works together. And airtags are much better than any competing product I've used.
Some downsides, though. The spam filtering is nowhere near on par with Google for messages or calls. I've tried third party apps but they all seem to have major drawbacks. Currently I am relying on youmail for call filtering and some lesser known app for sms filtering.
Some other downsides. Apple is still stingy AF with ram. I've had video chats on messenger close several times citing low resources.
If you do switch, I might suggest the iPhone upgrade plan. You pay monthly financed through citizens bank at 0% apr. Then after 12 payments you are eligible to upgrade. But you are not locked into a carrier.

Tried it, but I didn't like it and switched from a Fold 4 to S24 Ultra instead. My fiancée loves iPhone though, it's all personal preference. I would try one out from Apple, they have a 14 day return policy and accepted my return without any issues!

I swapped to the iPhone 14 Pro when it released from always using Android. In my experience, any android phone I had always started having issues at the two year mark, and swapped after constantly seeing iPhone users keeping their phones for four to five years. After two years with this phone, it still runs as smooth as when I first got it, and don’t see myself going back.

For me
Galaxy S1 > Galaxy S2 > Galaxy S3 > iPhone 5 > Xperia Z > LG G4 > iPhone 7 > Galaxy S9 > iPhone 11 > iPhone 14 > Galaxy S24 > iPhone 16
I'm familiar with both operating systems, and I would say each has its own strengths. However, I recently switched from Samsung to iPhone primarily because my wife, my daughters, and my mom all use iPhones. This makes it much more convenient for me to use the same operating system as the rest of my family.
P.S. And I know that one day, not very far away, I will switch back to Samsung/Android again, lol.

Yes. I went from s21 ultra to the 14 pro max. Now on 16 pro max. I do not regret my decision. I owned my Mac before hand though. Now I have the m1 iPad Pro 12.9. The ultra 2 watch, and the Apple TV. Air pods pro 2s.
It was easy to adapt. All the apps are the same basically. So nothing changed from there. Otherwise. Closing out apps. I learned you don’t have to. iOS suspends the software so it doesn’t use ram. That’s why the close all button isn’t there.

I did exactly that a few weeks ago, switched from S23 Ultra to iPhone 16 Pro Max. Never had an iPhone before. Here are my takeaways:
iPhone advantages: 1. Screen is adjusting white balance to compensate for in room light 2. Haptics are better 3. Apps feel more polished, even Google’s own apps. 4. iOS is much nicer to look at for me 5. iPhone feels to be better made
iPhone disadvantages: 1. No universal back gesture. On android you just swipe your finger from the side of the screen. There’s nothing like that on iPhone and it hurts. You have to look for the back button in every app or rely on app gestures, which aren’t consistent. 2. No sideloading apps 3. No „casting” support from apple’s own apps. You can’t play music on your google nest audio from Apple Music app (on android you can)
Overall I’m happy so far but the first few days were difficult. I don’t think I’m gonna switch to android again but the time will tell.

I switched from S24+ to IPhone 16 pro max. I don’t like my 16 pro max but I loved my Apple Watch Ultra 2. I still have my S10 + tab for customization and entertainment and working. Basically I got the 16 PM for my watch. I miss the Samsung AI since Apple AI is stupid and there is no back button on iPhone, faceId is slow af to unlock , I miss the ultra fingerprint scanner . But the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is amazing much better than any android watch.

Went from a note 20 to iPhone 15 pro max and will say everything just works smoother the Apple Pay and passwords and stuff just work so much better then Samsungs equivalents did for me , I debated making the change for years but my Samsung was just starting to feel clunky with things like pay and face unlock, didn’t even notice how annoying they had been until I upgraded

Went from S22 to 15 Pro. The learning curve for me was pretty brutal, and it didn't help when most of the internet calls you an idiot for not understanding the most basic shit.
Honestly I love my iPad Air and Apple Watch, but sometimes I still wish I could use my old Galaxy phone with both of them.

Back in 2020 from S10 to 12 Pro Max. Never looked back.
