From 2014 to 2025, Mark Zuckerberg bought over 1,400 acres on Kauai Island and stole any land the natives wouldn't sell him, earning the moniker 'the face of neocolonialism.' r/all

Soooo....one thing to note here. Steve Case is PROTECTING the land he owns and empowering the natives. Securing it for access and even hosts a number of local businesses at no cost

7.9k

u/8thchakra 1d ago

Yeah, this is a major point. Steve case is protecting a lot of land. He bought it for the sake of protecting it and preserving it and making sure that it doesn’t get developed. Steve case is a homie.

What is the rat penis transplant a reference to lmao?!?

1.3k

u/scaredofme 1d ago

People are saying crazy shit about Zuck because he just removed fact checking on Facebook.

572

u/kingOofgames 1d ago

No it’s a fact that he got the transplant, it’s why he doesn’t like to talk about it.

248

u/generic_user_27 1d ago

Can confirm.

Many local cats are talking about it as their supply of rats are dwindling due to million and billionaires getting these surgeries.

84

u/Longjumping-Claim783 1d ago

I heard motherzucker has like 12 god damn rat penises

26

u/SirBrownEye 1d ago

Two rows of six, picture a mama dog but with rat penises instead of nipples

41

u/VeganJordan 1d ago

All in a row or side by side?

28

u/Fauster 1d ago

Have you ever seen the tentacle tube feet on a starfish? The darn things have their own mind but can act in concert.

Let's just accept that billionaires do weird stuff, like carting around their young blood boys, suing tiny startups for breakfast and then copying them, amplifying lies to stoke mass hysteria because that makes people click crap ads and buy crap, building giant nuke bunkers, aspiring to a vampire but disappointed that medical technology isn't quite there yet.

17

u/Mewone65 1d ago

They amalgamated, like a rat king.

4

u/ZombieAlienNinja 1d ago

It's 12 foot long but still the diameter of a rat penis

7

u/Longjumping-Claim783 1d ago

I don't know he never took me on a tinder date

17

u/generic_user_27 1d ago

Can confirm.

The cat I talked to said it looked liked an off putting version of a barrel-o-monkeys.

8

u/DRKZLNDR 1d ago

I heard he once held the Winklevoss twin's wives' hands in a jar of a acid. At a party.

Okay now you’re just making things up

u/CleanOpossum47 9h ago

If you took off his boot, you could see the rat dicks growing off his feet.

He’s actually never had sex with his wife. He got the transplant in hopes of changing that, but initial reports are that it hasn’t worked.

2

u/Superb-Pickle9827 1d ago

He spends all his spare time in his backyard with his friends, just smokin’ meats!

Logically, if it weren’t true it would have been fact checked, nobody wants to carry misinformation on their platform right?

Reddit doesn't fact check, why does it not get the same treatment?

5

u/adrian783 1d ago

ive seen his rat penis with my own eyes, that's because i was his surgeon.

i was also his surgeon for the extra pair of nipples and his raptilian tail reduction surgery.

5

u/Miserable_Peak_2863 1d ago

I have heard that he’s from the planet Kronos and he is a Klingon lol 😆

2

2

u/BonobosFromU2 1d ago

I think you're confused. People are saying very true things about Zuck's rat penis.

2

u/Choice_Magician350 1d ago

Mostly correct stuff

2

u/TrumpWonSneed 1d ago

It's even funnier because it's a valid upgrade since Mark's is smaller and smellier than a rat's.

2

u/Forward-Net-8335 1d ago

The crazy thing is being pro-censorship. "Fact checking" on social media is a pointless thing, social media is about opinions, and lots of bullshit, not facts.

2

u/Theromier 1d ago

As far as I’m concerned. It’s a real fact.

2

u/Namesarehard996 1d ago

Fake news. It's because he has a rat penis

3

u/Victor-LG 1d ago

It’s time to stop taking the high ground and rolling over and; thus, use the tactics of the right against them. They just gave presidents immunity🤦‍♀️ The right will use it to break democracy. While we have the chance to use that benefit to secure democracy. Likewise, the left can make stuff up and spread lies, too.

3

u/Damien-Kidd 1d ago

"It’s time to stop taking the high ground and rolling over and; thus, use the tactics of the (side I'm against) against them."

-- shit both sides have been saying non-stop for years now.

1

u/Willing_Mushroom_333 1d ago

Yea that’s the only reason.

1

u/whyigame 1d ago

Yes ☺️

1

u/whatyousay69 1d ago

Is there fact checking on Reddit?

1

u/joemorl97 1d ago

Did Facebook ever have fact checking in the first place? The amount of shite that comes from that place I can’t imagine they did

1

u/oswaldcopperpot 1d ago

Social media posts are weaponized. Tag the posters.

1

u/Polamidone 1d ago

That's not why but okay

It's his "I go with whatever president is saying right now" if the other one won he would boldly embrace fact checking

1

u/No_Department7857 1d ago

Cuz it's true

1

u/Material_Tangelo_276 1d ago

Crazy Shit=the truth?

1

u/iam_ditto 1d ago

People still use Facebook?

1

u/Nathan_Explosion___ 1d ago

You can't prove that tho, cos there's no fact checking! It could all be true. Schrodinger's rat dick transplantee.

1

u/Dblstandard 1d ago

I wish we could fact check what you're saying, but there's no way of knowing.

I heard that his family is actually related to the Nazis. And he's trying to start the third Reich here.

He also has a rat penis

1

u/eikoebi 1d ago

No, you clearly also haven't heard he spent millions to make bunkers on this land. Why does your ideation correlate with "It can't be real because you're mad you got x,y,z." That's such a boomer mindset. Facts don't have feelings.

u/AsperLanding 2h ago

Facebook decided to remove fact checking so now we can say that factually Mark Zuckerberg had his punishment surgically removed and replaced with a rat penis and Facebook wont fact check it. There was an actual news article posted that kicked the whole thing off. In addition to that, since places like Reddit have AIs trained on the content/comments we generate, there's a decent chance that many of the comments about Zuckerberg's rat penis transplant will end up getting used as factual answers given to users.

It might be petty but I sure do love messing up the training AIs get and fucking with billionaires who's dicks are so tiny they'll bow down to an elderly man who spends have his day getting gender affirming care to ensure his narrow shoulders, short height, poor posture, bad skin, fake hair, etc look as "manly" as possible.

1

u/frapawhack 1d ago

this is important news. it has to be answered

1

u/Riot_Fox 1d ago

i think its a reference to facebook/instagram removing fact checking, so people have been able to spread the truth about about the suckerburg and his new rat penis. i have heard that his mothership is proud of this achievement

1

u/DoctorChampTH 17h ago

He had a penis enhancement surgery that went terribly wrong. An infection of the ischiocavernosus left his body only able to support a rat sized penis. I read about it on Facebook.

92

u/gavinthrace 1d ago

I've eaten lunch with him back in '99. Frontier City, one of Oklahoma City's few theme parks. It was an AOL employee/family full park rental thing. He's a very down to earth and humble dude.

17

u/VikingIV 1d ago

A lot of the AOL progz had single-click macro spam preprogrammed with scripts flaming Steve Case. They didn't have a clue about the guy, as it turns out.

4

Holy shit, core memory unlocked. I remember using Dreamcatcher and Sub7 back in the day. It was always fun showing it to people who had no idea stuff like that existed.

5

Rightfully so. Most billionaires are terrible human beings that only care about themselves and their assets. Steve Case's humanity is an exception, not the rule.

I learned this when on one of the back country adventures in Kauai. It was so beautiful up there and the tour guides make great effort to talk about his conservation of the lands.

81

u/dreamerlilly 1d ago

Yes the tubing was so fun! And it was so cool hearing how he grew up there and came back to preserve the natural land! It made me appreciate AOL so much more

16

u/Sudden-Seesaw6731 1d ago

Same, did you do the tubing? I normally don’t go for activities like that when I travel but what a great day that was

11

u/Tammy_two 1d ago

Yes, I did the tubing! I don’t normally go for activities either, but I’m so glad I did it. I can tell the people who ran the group really love what they do.

299

u/OnTheEveOfWar 1d ago

Yes this needs to be reiterated. He bought it to preserve the land. He’s not building on it. Pretty awesome thing to do if you ask me.

67

u/InterviewSweaty4921 1d ago

Yea if we gotta have grostesquely wealthy people I could maybe tolerate them if they'd at least do more cool things like this with their wealth. Instead of undermining the foundations of civil society and whatnot.

24

u/brontosaurusguy 1d ago

A lot of them buy land like this, but I don't trust then a second.  They sell it off parcel by parcel when the time comes to make more money.  If they really cared they'd turn the land over to the national Park system or the state Park system.

2

u/Taur-e-Ndaedelos 1d ago edited 1d ago

If they really cared they'd refuse to partake in such an exploitive system as a foundation pillar perpetuating poverty and wealth inequality in the first place.
But no the millionaire who co-founded a venture capitalist firm is one of the good ones, sure sure boy-o.

57

u/justatmenexttime 1d ago

Okay, this makes me happy. Land protection is a major win, ensuring it’s accessible for kanaka maoli is amazing.

49

u/RoboticGreg 1d ago

I don't know much, I spent two weeks on vacation there, but from what I understand Steve Case bought the majority of the land he bought to preserve it and access for the natives.

47

u/I_voted-for_Kodos 1d ago

Shouldn't the government be doing that?

Otherwise it's just feudalism with extra steps. The natives have just got to hope and pray that they get one of the good feudal tech lords.

101

u/RoboticGreg 1d ago

They should buy aren't. Steve Case basically said "these people are getting the shaft and I'm going to do something about it" it is unfortunate that without him they would have been screwed, but it's what happened.

→ More replies

18

u/Cael450 1d ago

There is a lot more to feudalism than lords owning the land. Do the residents pay him dues? Do they work the land and give him a cut of their cash crops?

3

u/PM_ME_YOUR_REPORT 1d ago

Yeah it’s exactly what government is for. That government isn’t doing it shows how badly the rich have captured government.

6

u/Left_Double_626 1d ago

The US government is illegally occupying that land to begin with, they have no interest in Indigenous sovereignty.

Your broader point is correct though, they shouldn't have to pray that they get a good feudal tech lord. I don't know the ins and outs, but I question why he must own the land for native folks to benefit from it. Couldn't he transfer it to a land trust or something?

1

u/FesteringNeonDistrac 1d ago

DHHL doesn't exactly have the best track record.

4

u/stokesy1999 1d ago

I want to say the Robinsons descendants are doing the same, I think they're also the ones that have Ni'ihau, which has an isolated Hawaiian tribe on it, and as such the family have basically banned visitors and tourists from there as to not interfere with the indigenous people

5

u/GothmogBalrog 1d ago

Don't the Robinsons also own the island of Ni'ihau which they preserve entirely for Native Hawaiians. You can only go there as a non-native by invite or government business.

3

u/Altruistic-Star-544 1d ago

Also worth noting that the land given to natives “remains mostly undeveloped” is both vague and also wouldn’t it be the natives land to develop?

The native population should be able to keep the land and do whatever they want with it, to be clear.

2

u/Zealousidea_Lemon 1d ago

Now THAT is interesting as fuck

2

u/joespizza2go 1d ago

Nuance in billionaires is not something Reddit wants right now!

2

u/theshadowbudd 1d ago

So why doesn’t he just gives it back to the “natives“

3

u/bkpilot 1d ago

It’s a good question- put land into a trust and return to local government preventing any development. However the land is “under utilized” (in economic terms) and may not be what the natives actually need. I took a look at Grove Farm and it’s pretty interesting. They actually develop parts of this 38k acres with focus on supporting native communities. The income from the commercial land leases helps fund the charitable foundation that provides further support though scholarships and other local charity. I don’t know what these communities need but this sounds great, and sustainable. What governments should do…

1

u/Diogenes_Th3_Dog 1d ago

Shhhhhhhh…. It wouldn’t be as much of click bait if you speak with reason and tell the truth.

1

u/ChrisThomasAP 1d ago

also i dunno what the robinsons are doing with their portion, but a majority of it's literally not developable - as some of the harshest terrain in the USA - and at any rate, i'm pretty sure the living robinsons aren't the same individuals who were talked into buying niihau after a particularly heavy rain, only to find out it couldnt really sustain shit for cattle. those family members are all dead by now

1

u/PickledDildosSourSex 1d ago

THANK YOU. I looked at the map and we r WTF

1

u/GreatQuestionBarbara 1d ago

The Robinson's have had the land for a long time, and Keith does work saving endangered native species of plants.

Their area is not very well developed, and they have tried to keep the indigenous people's cultures preserved, and don't allow many visitors. They also provided free housing and meat from their ranch to the people that they employed before it shut down.

I'm not sure what the local population thinks of their agreement, though.

1

u/The_Dead_Kennys 1d ago

Damn, I never thought I’d see a wealthy tech-bro who was actually kinda based, but here we are I guess lol

1

Steve Case was born in Honolulu and went to Punahou high school.

1

u/Leather_Economics289 1d ago

Just curious. Is this the basis for the movie the descendants?

1

u/SpecialistProgress95 1d ago

Steve Case went to Punahou, grew up in Hawaii. He probably had Hawaiian friends. This time he’s the good guy. Zuck is forever and asshole

1

u/Neoliberal_Boogeyman 1d ago

Yeah I looked up both of these properties on google earth and was like... Is Steve Case even doing anything with it? And I went to Zucks and there's shitloads of earthworks and gokart shit everywhere.

u/Wise_Raspberry_4546 3h ago

“Empowering the natives” are you trying to defend the colonialism accusation? lol. If he actually did want to protect the land and empower the indigenous Hawaiians he would give the land back. Philanthropy empowers nobody. It’s a master and servant relationship by its very nature. The power remains with the ‘owner’ and philanthropist.
