Professor Avi Loeb, Verified AMA A Scientific Study of UAP
If an advanced technological civilization predated us by more than millions of years and they already travelled across their distance from us before knowing about us. This is possible because most stars formed billions of years before the Sun. Our own astronomers are eager to study habitable exo-planets, such as the planet b around the nearest star, Proxima Centauri. In the coming centuries, we might decide to visit Proxima Centauri b with our crafts before knowing that a technological civilization might have emerged on it. Could interstellar vehicles be surprisingly close to us right now, as they were sent a long time ago towards Earth just because of it being a habitable planet and not in response to our technological signals?
The only way to find out is to search the sky for unusual objects. This is the rationale behind The Galileo Project that I am leading. The project will be publicly announced on July 26th, 2021 as a research endeavor to assemble and transparently analyze open scientific data collected by new telescopes. This multi-million dollar project is funded by private donors who approached me after reading my book Extraterrestrial or listening to the numerous interviews that followed its publication. Subsequently, I assembled an exceptional research team that plans to construct a network of new telescopes and monitor the sky for any unusual objects near Earth. When searching the sky in a new way, one is likely to discover something new.

Ever since I watch bob lazar interviews, I have been super intrigued by the way he said they operate! My hope, is that I live long enough to actually see us figure out how to duplicate one. Probably a long shot I know. Anyone else feel this way?

We need brave whistleblowers to come forward with the evidence they have
It’s nearly 2025, and after watching the program by James fox the one thing that’s clear is we’re never going to see transparency or disclosure via the official channels/congress.
We’ve seen now how congress is not able to get in SCIFs with Grusch, for example. How presidents are not fully read in. The disruption it would cause if it came out that certain private companies had been given an “unfair advantage” in the form of these foreign materials.
Something would have to force their hand, and I believe that thing would be someone leaking undeniable evidence, probably at great cost to themselves.
I know it’s an impossible thing to ask, but humanity deserves to know. Work with journalists and get your story out. The government won’t.

If the "Mystery Drones" Are Real, Why Do They Act Like UAP?
UFO researcher Richard Dolan held a Youtube podcast on December 27, 2024, entitled "Mystery Drones Still Here! What Are They... REALLY?" Its theme was that the so-called drones are beginning to resemble heir anomalous forebears, UFOs. He compared the current wave to flying saucer waves of years past, as well as the Hudson Valley Sightings of the 1980s and 1990s, a flap featuring "big triangles and bommerangs in the sky..."
The Mystery Drones have been seen around the world and have raised alarm in the Northeastern U.S. "But are they all just drones? I'm not convinced that they are all just drones," said the ufologist.
The two kinds of craft (drones and UAP) can be equivocated. "Something is up there, something that doesn't follow our rules ... our no-fly zones." Meanwhile, "governments are being silent" on what they know. As is usually the case with the waves, multiple agencies conduct investigations, but authorities maintain that there is "no national security threat".
And just as with earlier waves, "most are explainable, but some are not." What's different about the mystery drones are their unusual behaviors, like withstanding strong winds that would ground hobbyist drones. Some exceed the battery capacity of civilian drones by hovering for hours over sensitive military installations. And in one case, an object zoomed away from an F-16. "That does suggest capabilities beyond conventional drones, for sure."
"This is not normal behavior," he said, "it is quite extraordinary." It is "more in line with historical UFO reports."
He noted one key exception with the typical UFO wave: no reported sightings of alien beings. UFO flaps usually have at least some alien sightings mixed in, said Dolan. However, a week before his broadcast, a citizen in Woodbury, CT, reported to NUFORC: "Multiple craft appeared and a possible alien sighting."
So there you go.
Over the past week, NUFORC—the National UFO Reporting Center—has logged 65 new reports of low-flying, large, brightly lit "drones." Notably, despite hundreds of sightings across the ctountry, none have been identified or observed taking off or landing. The craft sport blinking lights and seem designed to be seen, yet evade tracking by turning off and maneuvering away when approached.
Despite government assurances that these are not military or foreign adversary drones, their lack of compliance with FAA Remote ID regulations and repeated incursions into restricted airspace suggest illegal activity.
NUFORC states that more reports "come in hour by hour. Despite the intense attention being paid to the phenomenon and the massive number of sightings, the situation remains that not a single one of these craft has been identified..." Meanwhile, its staff has compiled a list of notable traits:
- Group Coordination: Witnesses report clusters of drones in areas like Bethlehem, PA, and San Diego, CA.
- Silent Operation: Many sightings describe craft that are silent, even at close range.
- Global Sightings: Reports span countries like Canada, Germany, and Lithuania.
- Orb Association: Many sightings include glowing orbs maneuvering alongside drones.
This widespread, mysterious phenomenon raises unanswered questions about the operators. A remote ID reader such as a unit such as a Dedrone RF-300 could potentially reveal the sender, but no such identification has happened. "[W]e must assume that either the drones are not transmitting, and thus are operating illegally, or that no one has tried to pick up a Remote ID, which seems like such a common sense thing to do that it is incomprehensible if it hasn’t been tried."
And thus, it is also incredible that federal authorities claim to have no knowledge of the operators.
Scanning submissions to the NUFORC website reveals several that sound eerily like UFOs...
Hereford, AZ - "As I was outside feeding my horses, I noticed one of the 'drones' at first. Then these two white orbs followed it and disappeared."
Conway, AZ - "Flying over with solid lights, like a helicopter, but not; flew silently."
Navarro, TX - "Moving faster than I could record, and a drone was watching it, so I know it wasn’t a drone. My friend told me to check outside... I feel bad." (Environmental effects implied.)
Conyers, GA - "It was flying quite low and had about 5-6 bright lights on it. Also, it was really quiet and just coasted in a steady motion."
Clarksville, TN - "Multiple unknown objects with blinking lights, not showing up on multiple radars."
Mount Vernon, WA - "Size of a small house, and we saw the triangle shape as clear as day."
In operation for the past five decades, NUFORC continues to track the mystery drones, and you can report your own sightings to the Center at https://nuforc.org/report-a-ufo/.

What subs are you hanging out in that are sharing information for the observer to be better equipped to distinguish known objects from anomalies and make broader connections betwen various phenomena?
Like I am finding so many great resources for tracking spacecraft, understanding weather phenomena, aerial tech advancements, altered cognition/telepathy, ontology, transmutation, crystals etc and I want to be able to freely post about and browse posts about these things in the same place as where people share and discuss ufo phenomena and other metaphysical type stuff from a scientific perspective. I have found a few groups kind of like this but they're more like personal anecdotes and theorizing without much corroborating evidence or analytical investigation (r/experiencers, r/ufob)
Any good recommendations?

What other observations can we research and look for besides vehicles?
I've been thinking how there is a hyper focus on finding vehicles or craft to identify forms of NHI.
There's plenty of theories now that UAP might not even be extraterrestrial.
As such, I'm hoping to find other avenues to pursue that aren't vehicle related. Any ideas?
Maybe it's just that seeing a UAP in the sky is much higher probability than other interactions?

New Jersey (and beyond) UAP event timeline
I am a professional video editor by trade and have taken great interest in this recent mass UAP event.
When trying to explain it to friends and family, I've often wanted a single video that effectively explains the following:
Timeline: When and where on a global level have things happened
Scale: The sheer number of sightings and corroborated events
Variety: Dismissing the notion it's just "drones". Detailing the mix of sightings such as regular commercial air traffic, Military air vehicles using FAA regulation lighting, and finally, genuine UAPs
Interaction: Events where it has been recorded that military drones have attempted to interact with UAPs
I was hoping this Reddit community (which I visit daily) could help me put some of that timeline together.
If you know of an event in New Jersey, California, Florida, the United Kingdom, Portugal, or Japan, could you comment with a date, location, and event description? If you have a link to a video, even better.
I believe this is a genuine mass UAP event that will define history. My goal is to make a video that anyone of us could show someone, which would help explain the event in a way that the Government and Broadcast Media can't or won't.

Discussion This uap community is compromised
I've noticed every time I come on here and there's a serious topic, majority of the comments aren't even discussing the subject at hand. I don't know who's doing it but there's a simple and effective disinformation campaign going on in this community. All you have to do to see what I'm saying is go to a recently trending post with a lot of comments. When you start scrolling there's random comments all through it seemingly to just dismiss it even if evidence was posted with it. Whether it happens now or five years from now, this reality will come out no matter how hard it's being suppressed.

Eric Davis On Secret UAP Programs, Subtrefuges, and Scientific Progress
Dr. Eric Davis was interviewed for the Jesse Michels podcast. He acknowledged a years-long program of UAP crash retrieval and study. However, the classified physicist turned a scant eye on major conceptions within the UFO community, notably denying the existence of alien reproduction vehicles (ARVs). He does not accept the stories of functioning, manmade UFOs from either Bob Lazar or Mark McCandlish. Basically, the UAP program is real, but no progress has been made!
I took a transcript of the podcast and abstracted three sections:
A) Outline of the discussion
B) Summary (Outline plus contextual material)
C) Davis' answer to what progress has been made to understanding UAP physics and replicating the technology.
Then I ran each one through ChatGTP and combined them for the end product, which follows.
- Overview of Classified Programs and Designators
Program Types and Classifications
Classified programs were categorized into several designators:
Special Access Programs (SAPs):
Regular SAPs.
Waived SAPs.
Unacknowledged SAPs.
Waived and unacknowledged SAPs.
Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI):
Hidden SCI compartments were highlighted as an often overlooked aspect of classification, leading to debates on their distinction from SAPs.
Historical Context
During the Eisenhower administration, Presidential Emergency Action Documents (PEADs) were reportedly used to establish certain SAPs, circumventing Congressional oversight.
The CIA’s involvement included programs such as WINPAC (Weapons Intelligence, Nonproliferation, and Arms Control).
Key Observations
SAPs and hidden SCIs are argued to be functionally similar in many security experts’ assessments.
The compartmentalization of classified programs often resulted in inefficiencies, with duplicated efforts across agencies.
- Financial Handling in Classified Programs
Contracting Practices
Sole Source Contracts:
Classified projects often bypass competitive bidding to maintain secrecy.
Contracts were typically awarded directly to trusted contractors, minimizing exposure.
Pass-Through Companies:
Financial transactions often involved intermediary companies to obscure funding sources and destinations.
Budget Mismanagement Allegations
Allegations of fraud included inflating budgets for black programs to divert funds into Independent Research and Development (IRAD) projects. This practice involved:
Artificially increasing proposal budgets.
Redirecting surplus funds to unrelated IRAD projects.
Notable Cases
Whistleblower David Grusch alleged budgetary manipulation during his testimony, supported by anecdotal evidence of questionable practices in contractor budgeting.
- Individuals Involved
Whistleblowers and Key Figures
David Grusch:
Provided classified testimony, revealing names, locations, and programs involved in UAP investigations.
Faced harassment, including violations of medical privacy laws (HIPAA).
Eric Davis:
Provided briefing data to Grusch and worked closely with key individuals in classified programs.
Government and Agency Personnel
George H. W. Bush:
Briefed on UAP-related intelligence during his tenure as CIA Director but not as President.
Encountered resistance when seeking direct evidence, such as documentation and film.
Glen Gaffney:
Former Deputy Director of Science and Technology at the CIA.
Played a controversial role in restricting access to classified materials, including crash retrievals.
Collaborative Entities
Agencies such as the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Department of Energy (DOE) were often engaged in these programs. Contractors like Bigelow Aerospace and Lockheed Martin were notable for their involvement.
- Classified Briefings and Hearings
Congressional Interactions
Witnesses like Grusch and Davis emphasized the importance of classified settings for sharing sensitive information.
Testimonies highlighted the challenges whistleblowers face, including NDAs and potential legal repercussions.
Agency Oversight
Inter-agency briefings often included sensitive exchanges between entities such as the Department of Defense (DoD), the CIA, and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
Briefings in Huntsville (2019, 2022) demonstrated ongoing efforts to involve legislative staff in understanding classified programs.
- Challenges and Insights
Inefficiencies in Compartmentalization
Compartmentalization led to duplicated efforts and resource wastage, particularly among the Navy, Air Force, and Army programs.
Efforts to unify or communicate across compartments were limited by stringent security protocols.
International Dynamics
Adversarial nations like Russia and China were cited as having limited but notable advancements in crash retrievals and UAP-related technologies.
Evidence of Russian involvement stemmed from classified sources and declassified Soviet-era documents.
Scientific Implications
Theoretical frameworks such as breakthrough propulsion physics and quantum vacuum fluctuations were discussed but remain speculative due to insufficient empirical evidence.
- Matrix of Secrecy
This report underscores the complex interplay of secrecy, financial practices, and interagency dynamics in classified programs. It highlights the critical role of whistleblowers in unveiling inefficiencies and potential abuses, as well as the necessity for robust oversight mechanisms to ensure accountability without compromising national security.
Recommendations:
Improve coordination among compartmentalized programs to reduce duplication and inefficiencies.
Establish clearer protocols for whistleblower protection.
Increase legislative oversight to balance secrecy with accountability.
Eric Davis on Progress in UAP Technologies and Physics
Scientific and Theoretical Explorations
Question: What progress has been made in understanding UAP technologies and recreating their physics?
Response: Dr. Eric Davis emphasized that despite decades of effort, tangible progress in understanding and recreating UAP technologies remains limited. Notably:
- Alien Reproduction Vehicles (ARVs):
- Claims of ARVs or one-to-one recreations of UAP craft are unfounded. Davis stated that the notion of ARVs is largely a product of misinformation within the UFO community, popularized by figures like Bob Lazar and others. He categorically denied any successful reproduction of UAP technologies.
- Advancement in Breakthrough Physics:
- Concepts such as spacetime torsion and other speculative theories have been largely discredited. Davis referenced experiments, like those conducted by Ringer Marcker at General Electric, which found no evidence of spacetime torsion. He noted that while theories like quantum vacuum fluctuations are intriguing, they remain speculative and untested.
- Adversarial Programs:
- Davis dismissed claims that adversarial nations like Russia or China have made significant advancements in UAP technologies. He asserted that if such capabilities existed, it would fundamentally alter global power dynamics, which has not occurred.
Question: Have there been historical attempts to replicate UAP technologies?
Response: Davis shared insights from classified settings, noting:
- Decades of Effort: U.S. programs dating back to the 1980s and earlier have attempted to understand UAP technologies but with minimal success.
- Program Shutdowns: By 1989, many such efforts were reportedly shut down due to a lack of progress, as confirmed by classified briefings he attended.
Challenges in Breakthrough Technologies
Theoretical Challenges:
- Davis explained that early hopes for concepts like torsion fields or novel propulsion mechanisms were dashed due to their failure to produce consistent, testable predictions.
- Einstein’s own explorations of torsion concluded it was not viable for describing elementary particle spin or other phenomena.
Experimental Results:
- Experiments designed to detect spacetime torsion have yielded null results, further questioning the practicality of these concepts in achieving breakthroughs.
Conclusion
Dr. Davis’s statements underscore the significant scientific and practical barriers to understanding and recreating UAP technologies. Despite ongoing interest, the field remains constrained by theoretical inconsistencies, lack of empirical evidence, and a history of unsuccessful attempts. Davis stressed the importance of focusing on data-driven approaches and avoiding the pitfalls of speculative or sensational claims.

Discussion They say that what we are seeing do consist of hobbiest drones
Those same people, the govt…. Specifically FAA, have rules on those hobbiest drones. By default, you have a max ceiling height of 400’ AGL and cannot fly at night.
If those hobbiest drones violate those laws (like they are), it’s a Federal offense that has high fines including jail time.
I can’t see how all those hobbiest all decided at once to violate FAA laws and the FAA to be ok with it.
Any drone more than 249 grams must be registered and must have a Remote ID broadcasting drone info. 249 grams is less than a half loaf of bread (just a random guess, 249 grams is very very lightweight). The drones that we are seeing appear to be much much larger. If any of these are registered, they would know instantly who, what and why.
I fly race drones, typical DJI drones, large drones, etc.

The Wealthy See More UAP???
A study by a team with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem showed that "UAP sightings tend to occur more frequently in wealthier areas."
Dr. Ohad Raveh of Hebrew University and Dr. Nathan Goldstein of Bar-Ilan University analyzed data from the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), spanning over 20 years of UFO and UAP sightings in the United States. The patterns they found were neither cyclical (which you might expect from seasonal effects) nor mentally related. They occurred more often in wealthier areas, and during times of economic uncertainty.
The key point, said Raveh, is that the patterns of UAP sightings "exhibit a positive correlation with wealth cross-sectionally; i.e., at any given point in time, the extent of UAP sightings tends to be higher in wealthier regions, going against a mentally related hypothesis."
The meaning behind it all seems to involve "an attention-related interpretation,” wherein attention is focused on economic matters, such as job loss or downturns. Another focus was noted during Covid-19 lockdowns, when UFO reports increased--suggesting that people’s limited mobility led to greater attention to unusual phenomena. The team believes their research methods can throw light on regional and national economic response during periods of high stress or uncertainty, which might "help in coping with the impact of future economic shocks."
A fuller summary of the study is available here.

Graphic artists!
It was incredibly helpful when people posted a visual poster showing a variety of aircraft with the position of their lights.
GRAPHIC ARTISTS: What would be helpful in sorting out the regular craft from the anomalous is if a graphic artist could design a poster showing how each craft on the poster appears at night - with colored lights (per FAA requirements) - when seen from:
- underneath,
- front-facing, and
- side-facing positions.
It would give observers a way to evaluate what they see, BEFORE posting their videos. And a teaching tool to help people new to the subject. Our job is to educate the interested public, not discourage them from participating.
I saw a low (500 - 1,000 feet high from horizon) craft above our street last night but I didn’t post it because I couldn’t identify it. This would have helped.

Has anyone thought that our progress with quantum mechanics is correlated to the increase in activity?
A few years ago I decided to follow my curiosities and start reading about General relativity, space and science in general. I haven’t quite dipped into the quantum other than knowing its basic history.
Given that we’ve made these huge advancements in physics, like LIGO measuring gravitational waves (another point for Einstein) and Google with their quantum computer (which seems…like magic), does it seem so crazy that NHI would be like “yup they’re about to discover “fire” again” and come down to help guide huge advancements?
I feel like a lot of us, myself included, have worried about their tendency to be over military instillations for a multitude of reasons, and I hope that these increases in numbers over the world are to easy their welcome party for us…
quantum computers and the research around them are so advanced they can be classified. That to me is mind blowing and the fact that it could be classified because it would solve world problems is heartbreaking.
Just a thought. Be nice.
