Cheap electric razor died

Post image

The razor wasn't mantaing charge, and plugged in it wouldn't work. It cut pretty well despite being so cheap, so i decided to try to revive it. I tear it down, it's simply a simple electric motor, a battery and a small controller. I took away the battery but the controller died on the teardown process (it wasn't meant to be repaired so it wasn't an easy process). So i soldered directly + and - of an USB cable to the electric motor, and it works perfectly fine. Maybe it's a tad faster (it wasn't written, i suppose the battery was 3.7 volt and the usb outlet is 5), but i'm happy with tge result

My copy of Pokemon Silver only works if I push it back

The cartridge kept disconnecting and freezing the game unless I pushed it backwards a little. I put a folded piece of paper in the slot with it, and it works great now!

The fan on this stock LGA 2011 cooler failed so I wire twisted on a random 120mm fan I had to it!

Fixed the fan on my external HDD enclosure

The fan in my HDD enclosure hasn't worked for ages, finally decided to fix it. Had to tap into the switch wire, and ground it to a screw on the board. If I used the ground on the switch wire, the fan would only operate when the switch was off. The variable fan speed knob on the back won't work with this hack, but overall, great success!

The Monster Mic

Post image

After coming home for the holidays from university and bringing my PC, I noticed that the headset back home only had a combo Jack that wouldnt work on my PC.

Therefore instead of getting an adapter I made the only logical decision to tape a cord to some wire and directly to the detachable headset microphone using some medical tape.

Now I only needed a stand which my monster can that I never cleaned up, came in handy for.

Its not trash, its a future solution!
