In my world, kobolds serve as maintenance, sharpshooters, saboteurs, or kamikaze pilots.

No, space setting based on Stars Without Number OSR.

Basically, because mcguffin tech disables nuclear weapons and computer guided smart missiles, the kobolds get around it by making a lot of very cheap, very destructive glorified missiles that is piloted by kobolds.
