Lone Faction [PC] [MID-2000'S] Robot side scroller / shooter through laboratory.

Hi.

I remember an old game where you played as a blue-ish / grey robot which started the level by breaking out of one of those big test tube containers that was in a laboratory, you then fought your way through the laboratory / office complex by shooting, jumping and melee-ing enemies. The level ended with a giant wall that had guns coming out of it that you had to shoot.

I can't tell you what the next few levels were like as I never made it to them as I wasn't too good and the game was very hard. It would have been on an old flash game website, perhaps Ebaums World or Addicting Games?

Does this ring a bell for anyone? I'm sorry I can't give too more, it's quite a faint memory now.

[PC] [Mid 2010s I think] Fantasy setting choose how to spend your time before apocalypse in city

Thumbnail i.redd.it
15 Upvotes

I know the artist’s rendition sucks but hear me out.

Platform: PC (AFAIK)

Genre: Puzzle/Story?

Estimated year of release: mid 2010s, I watched YouTubers playing it then.

Art style: cartoonish sort of hand drawn maybe?

Gameplay: you had a day countdown I think to when the city would be destroyed somehow. There were different characters, mages and fighters and the like, and the way you spent your time could solve the problem or worsen it? You clicked buildings to do things in them, I also think it was multiplayer.

I seem to remember one player becoming a werewolf due to choices.

CHARACTER WISE: just remembered there was definitely a big woodcutter character that one person played - I wanna say there might’ve been some fairy tale influences on the game.

Anyway i know it’s not a lot to use but hopefully someone can help :))

Sir, You Are Being Hunted [PC] [2016?] Evading robots in an abandoned town who used hot air balloons with spotlights

My father beta tested for this game shortly before his death in 2018. The game can only exist between the mid 2010’s trend let’s playing era and that year.

Jacksepticeye played this game. As stated, it evolved evading machines in the dead of night, as you wander an abandoned town, as if everyone got up and ran away suddenly and without warning. Hot air balloons and robot ground troops would find the player and kill them, however I remember that part being ambiguous. This game was first person, and was an indie project that was, and should still be, on steam.

The opening of the game featured a British narrator, and the only specific line I can remember was in reference to the people, where they all went.

nervously “Well, erm… they’re not home…”

I need to find it to complete a collection of the games and mods he was involved with. I don’t want his mark on this hobby to be forgotten.

[PC] [mid 90s, early 2000's] Action Horror game with a live action intro that had a brief nude scene.

Platform: PC. Not sure if it was on any other platforms.

Genre: Action, Horror, possibly sci Fi, possible post apocalyptic/nuclear

Year of release: possibly mid 90s to early 2000s

Graphics/art style: similar to the Commandos games on PC. I remember the graphics being on the more realistic side (for mid 90s/2000s). Not cartoony at all.

Characters: honestly can't remember any specific characters except the brief nude scene of a woman in the intro, and possibly zombies or human monsters or something as bad guys (nuclear/radiation related?). I think you played as a man but not sure.

Gameplay mechanics: I believe the gameplay was similar to the commandos games, at least the camera angles. I believe you point and clicked to move your character. I think there was shooting involved but it was not first person shooter, so I don't recall how you did that. I remember it being a very technical game, definitely made for adults given the nude scene in the intro. I believe. I remember it taking place in city streets, possibly underground subways, maybe the countryside (I remember the live intro had a farmhouse or something).

Other details: I remember thinking I shouldn't be playing this game as a kid. The live intro seemed high budget, almost like it was scenes from a movie that were used as the intro? I think the nude scene was of a woman inside a barn or a farmhouse, and I remember an explosion in the intro. I remember moving my character around the city streets and trying to avoid the bad guys, and possibly going into subways. I feel like I remember neon green radiation on the floor. I can't remember if the bad guys were monsters, zombies, radiation people, etc.

Please help! This has been in the back kf my head for years!

[PS1?] [Early 2000's] Game you play as teen, get dragged down a drain by large worm.

The game is similar to Dragon's Lair, and other similar interactive film like games. I recall it being fairly influenced by that genre and style.

I remember you being a teen who's goal was to save his girlfriend or a girl back from some evil guy who had kidnapped her and brought her into a kind of haunted house.

The one prominent scene I can remember is when the character is on one side of the room and in the middle of it is a grate where a worm can pop out, grab you, and drag you into the pipe. You'd have to bring an item or something, or maybe you had to time it, to prevent it from happening, can't remember which. All I really remember is your character failing it and getting dragged in by the worm, and the other previously mentioned details.

However, the only really clear memory is the worm death scene. It might not have even been him trying to save his girlfriend, could be anyone. And there might not have been a villain, though I do seem to remember a villain taking someone and driving the character to go to this haunted mansion like place.

It is not Grabbed by the Ghoulies. I loved that game as a kid so I know that's not it and this game was a fair amount of time before it. It wasn't 3D either I'm pretty sure. Very, very sure it was the animated style you see in Dragon's Lair, or similar.

I've started wondering if the game was unreleased and maybe on a demo disk? Maybe even a game on Philips CD-i or on PC? I was sure it was on PS1 though.

Any help to finally scratch this itch and put this memory to bed would be very satisfying!

Thanks!

[PC][1990s]This line is in my brain. HALP!

Lately I've had a memory bubble up to the surface of a bit from an old computer game I played at my grandparents' house ages ago in the late '90s, and I CANNOT remember what the game was. I'm hoping someone can help.

I remember it being more of a logic/puzzle game rather than action or platformer, and there was a map or somehow zoomed out view. In the background area there was a mountain overlooking water, and when you clicked on it the narrator would chime in about a bear climbing the mountain "to see what he could see." The game may have included some kind of storybook or tale aspect as well. I'm unsure.

Can anyone think of what I might be remembering?

[PC][2000s] robots in an apocalyptic world and an alien girl named Mortadella

Hello everyone !

I'm looking for a PC game I played in the 2000s, but I can't remember the name... I think it had the word "Bug" in it, or maybe "Bud". The game took place on another planet, in "cartoon" mode, with an alien heroine/robot named Mortadella, with a sort of purple helmet and antennae. The universe was a little apocalyptic, and you could build some rather bizarre robots and play mini-games such as an underground course where the aim was to find the exit.

Please help me to find the name I can not sleep anymore loool Thank you for your help guys !

Immortals: Fenyx Rising [Ps4/Pc][2018+-][OpenWorld]

So basically I watched a playthrough of a game couple years ago and don't remember it's name but i remember i liked it and would buy it now. I was wondering if anyone knows it's name. The game was an open world within greek mythogy and the story was narrated by Prometheus during his conversation with Zeus. You played as some hero and the final boss was Tartarus i think (Just big red demon) There were some platform levels where you had to some puzzles or fight a bunch of enemies. Thanks

SOLVED!!

Kai's Power Goo [PC] [Mid-late 90s] Silly art program that featured the Mona Lisa

I honestly can't describe it much more than it was an art game where you can edit pictures in silly ways by distorting areas to mess with how they looked and what not.

What I remember most is that it featured the Mona Lisa heavily and you could distort it to make it look like she was smiling, frowning, and a bunch of silly things.

Memento [PC][2010-ish] An rpgmaker looking thriller game with giant monsters

I saw this game in a playthrough, but by who I can’t remember. I distinctly remember a chase scene in this game where the character was running away from a giant monster tearing through a facility.

The aesthetic of the game felt apocalyptic and I want to say that the monsters had robotic aspects to them. The setting looked like it was surrounding by factory like buildings.

The Secrets of Atlantis: The Sacred Legacy [PC][Before2015] Single Player Art Deco Game with Male Protagonist Aboard an Airship That Later Docks at the Empire State Building

Image that I found from the internet as a reference. This scene from the video game is in 3D with the airship moving and approaching the empire state building during sunset or sunrise. This photo is just reference.

Platform(s): PC

Genre: Art Deco, Detective, Puzzles, (Steampunk maybe - but it was more art deco)

Estimated year of release: Before 2015. Definitely before that year because I remember playing it sometime in 2008-2011. Maybe it might have been released even before that time frame.

Graphics/art style: Very art deco style, 2d or 3d (can't remember - maybe a mix?), not a dystopian game, game's atmosphere is mysterious like detective style, very brightly lit rooms/atmosphere, and lots of gold hues both inside the airship and empire state. If you looked outside from the windows, the skies had golden clouds. New York City is not involved in any war and is not underwater or anything, it almost felt more like a historically accurate game or an alternate reality where airships actually docked to skyscrapers. No fantasy creatures or anything magic related. The graphics look like early or late 2000s, definitely not 90s graphics. Very detailed game with a beautiful art deco style.

Notable characters: Male detective that arrives to the empire state building via airship. The game is narrated from his point of view. The man walks around inside the airship before arriving to the empire state building and disembarking.

Notable gameplay mechanics: Single player game. Can't remember if it was a point and click game or a 3d game. You solved puzzles and found hidden objects. You were solving a mystery and acting like a secret agent or detective. I did not get far into this game so I only know of the beginning of the game. I remember that I was not able to leave the empire state building after arriving there from the airship

Other details: After docking at the empire state building from an airship, you enter the elevator and go down. You can walk in the lobby use the elevators to go up to different floors. Also I remember there was a room with a statue of dancing Shiva on top of a desk or something in a brightly lit room. I remember when I saw this statue I was mesmerized and everytime I saw the statue in a museum in real life, I would always think of this game. Also, I distinctly remember how I was completely shocked when I saw how the giant airship docked on the empire state (during sunset or sunrise?).

My dad got this game for me but I did not get far into it because I got stuck trying to look for clues or couldn't solve a puzzle. I tried looking up all the games before 2015 with the art deco style. I also googled airship or dirigible games but none of those look like the one that I had in my memory. I also looked at steampunk games. I've attempted finding this game about 5 years ago but could not. Now I tried again but found nothing again :( Please help

[PC][2009] 3D FLASH game where you get to RIDE A DRAGON and take quests SINGLE PLAYER. Graphics were very simple. NI NO KUNI LIKE? THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE! Shoot spells OUT OF YOUR HANDS. At the end of every level YOU GET ON A SHIP.

Platform(s): PC

Genre: Single Player RPG Fantasy

Estimated year of release: 2009

Graphics/art style: 3D, animeish, very simple colours

Notable characters: You get to fly a dragon

Notable gameplay mechanics: I think you do quests, and there were mana pots and health pots. You talk to characters that I am pretty sure was unvoiced, it only had text. I think it was made in Flash although I'm not sure. You can casts spells like fireballs or lightning balls out of your hands. It was maybe like Zelda, and honestly remind me of Ni No Kuni, but it predates it. I played it in 2009, but it could have been released earlier.

Other details:

Hello everyone, PLEASE HELP ME find this game from my childhood. It was released around 2009 and I am pretty sure it was made in FLASH.

It was 3D single player, and I remember you get to RIDE A DRAGON/WINGED CREATURE early on.

You casts spells like FIREBALLS and LIGHTNING BALLS OUT OF YOUR HANDS.

There were health pots and mana pots

It was a SINGLE PLAYER game.

It was 3D, OFFLINE, it definitely was not Adventure Quest or Dragonfable.

It was THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE.

The CHARACTER DESIGN was very SIMPLE.

The colours was also very simple, no complex shadings etc.

AT THE END OF EVERY LEVEL YOU GET ONTO A SHIP TO GET TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

Please help me find this! Thank you everyone!

Here are some images that are similar to the game:

Abbaye

Cave Island

Dreamscape

Cirith Ungol

Lothlorien

Poulpito

Rah

Baby Knight

Illbleed [PSX][1990s]Horror game with a chapter in which people are turned into trees

I will preface this by saying that I never actually played this game - I came across its OST on YouTube when listening to the Alice: Madness Returns OST in 2011 ("Queensland", specifically).

I remember the song in particular was very percussive, and featured on a stage in which people are turned into trees, or there was a sawmill, or something. The game was certainly spooky but not necessarily a straight horror game - I think the protagonists may have even been children. It was almost certainly produced in Japan.

It's been a long time but I remember that background music really well, and I'd like to find it again... I will put my best guesses below. I know it's a longshot, so thank you!

Platform(s): Probably Playstation, perhaps PC or Playstation 2

Genre: Horror, not certain about the gameplay

Estimated year of release: Probably late 1990s

Graphics/art style: I think it was fairly typical giant-polygon early 3D stuff. Not having played the game, it's hard to know.

Notable characters: Likely a young girl, or a young girl and her brother. Maybe.

Notable gameplay mechanics: No idea.

[PC][90s to the early 2000s] Game where you are on a boat in Africa

Now this game was an exploration simulator that I got TONS of hours in not knowing what I was really doing. You were exploring African rivers in like a canoe, and every so often you'd find a place like a small riverside hut with people you could talk to or interact with. When you left you got back into the boat and kept going up the river you were in. I played it on I think Windows XP when I was around three to five, and it was interesting as hell.

It is not one of those old DOS games, definitely had some good graphics to it, but it was "Jungle something or other" I wanna say, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name. Did anyone else play this game on an older PC? If so please tell me you remember it

[PC] [1990] Sci fi adventure game

Hi guys, I am looking for a videogame from the nineties (I remember playing it in 2001, but it was older, like 1997). I don't remember the name, but it was a sci fi adventure game with little to no animations but a lot of cool and realistic illustrations. I remember it had a female lead, at least in the very beginning, waking up from some sort of criogenic sleep. I remember that the female lead had tattooes on her face (I don't know if she was human or some sort of cyborg). There was lot of text and lore, to the point it felt almost like a digital gamebook. The color palette was blueish-purple. I know it's not a lot of informations, but does it ring a bell to somebody? Thank you!

Edit: to be more accurate, the game doesn't let you move your character around. It felt more like a digital book game because you could partecipate in the story by making choices.

[wii] [~2010s] game where you collected white dots and you had a chosen power

I don’t remember much, except you were a cube (I think) and you collected dots. You played against another person or CPU and you could switch sides to collect dots on their side. I remember an electric symbol and a heart symbol for the power you could choose
