Audio, Music What's your favorite sound effect from any Star Wars media?
Of course the hum and spark of a lightsaber are iconic, but what are some of your other favorite sounds and sound effects of Star Wars?
Heres one of mine... Jango Fett's seismic bombs.

General Discussion How did Starkiller base destroy Hosnian Prime if it is across the galaxy?
I am watching TFA and realized that Hosnian is across the galaxy from Starkiller, how did Starkiller manage to destroy it without the laser taking years to reach?

Books If the Zahn SW books were made into movies, what parts would you keep or drop?
If Disney decided to redo the followup trilogy and use Zahn’s books as the material to work from, what parts would you keep or drop.
For example, I like that Luke ended up in a relationship. But I recall there was a whole book where it seemed like he was mostly in a cave. The romance was goid but the cave would have to be reduced or dropped.
Another example, Han and Lando end up on a space cruise ship. It would be cinematic for sure. Keep or drop?
It has been a while, but I recall thinking the story was better than the latest trilogy. Maybe it could be a series on Disney+.

General Discussion How many people knew that Anakin was Darth Vader?
I've just finished watching Ahsoka, which I really enjoyed, and a couple of characters have made reference to the fact that Ahsoka was trained by Anakin Skywalker. In one of the middle episodes, one of the New Republic senators (I forget which one) makes some comment about Ahsoka's actions being unsurprising given her master. Are they just referring the fact that, as a Jedi, Anakin had a reputation for bending the rules and working outside the Republic's systems? Or do they know more about what happened to him after the Clone Wars? (In other words, did Luke or Leia reveal to other people in the Rebellion who Darth Vader was?)
Then, in the final two episodes, Thrawn makes remarks about Ahsoka following in the footsteps of her master, which I think strongly hints that Thrawn knew what happened to Anakin. Was it known among the higher-ups in the Empire that Vader was Anakin Skywalker? Did Thrawn discover that on his own somehow? Or was he also just refering to Anakin's reputation from the Clone Wars?

Movies chapter 8
First time star wars viewer here, i Just finished chapter 8, please no spoilers for the next but im a little surprised by all the hatred of it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and while I did become annoyed by luke’s failure arc at first I think it was well done. Luke was someone who focused entirely too much on the potential “future” and his potential moment of lapse of judgement when almost killing his nephew was not something that felt out of character for him. I think his redemption at the end of the movie felt well built up to. The only complaint I have is that it felt disconnected to the previous movie but other than that I dont see any glaring issues with the film that would warrant the hate. Perhaps I feel this way watching them all for the first time and missing out on the nostalgia factors but just curious on why people feel this movie was “so bad”. ( I will say the “chrome dome” comment by finn was cringy but for the most part, the comedic relief wasnt that bad)
