I don't mean to depress you, but the future will never arrive. We will always be in the present, waiting for the future to come.

But the present also exists for such a small instant in time that you can't say you are in the present before it passes. Everything you have time to think about is in the past or future.

In fact by the time your senses transmit information to your brain and your brain has made sense of it, several milliseconds have passed already. We naturally exist a few milliseconds in the past.
