Surreal, absurd, outlandish, preposterous... But there it is. The entire earth clearly reflected off the side of a car. [1920x1080]

You can also see a smaller reflection of earth on Starman's helmet 😍! This is so inspiring, can't wait for the future! Edit: dude's name now correct, and capitalized! Happy now?😅

His name is Starman. He will never stop.

I love how Starman drapes his elbow on the door... chilling, listen to Bowie.

If only there could be a light breeze to blow his air..

Thank you, edited it!

*Starman

With a capital “S.” He’s a person, you know? Show some respect!

We should give Starman a reddit Citizenship. The bureaucracy will be slow tho, as SpaceX interplanetary mailing system is not yet complete.

I don't mean to depress you, but the future will never arrive. We will always be in the present, waiting for the future to come.

Haha thanks for the heads up mate! And no you do not depress me, I like the flow of time as is 😁

Today’s future is tomorrow’s present. Checkmate.

u/Heismanziel2 Feb 07 '18

The past is history, the future is a mystery, and today is a gift. That's why they call it the present.

Double Checkmate.

You got me.

(That’s beautiful, btw!)

I am so sorry! I Just thought it was a regular...peach tree!

I dunno. I'd rather skip ahead to when I can own a spaceship.

But the present also exists for such a small instant in time that you can't say you are in the present before it passes. Everything you have time to think about is in the past or future.

u/tehgreatblade Feb 07 '18

In fact by the time your senses transmit information to your brain and your brain has made sense of it, several milliseconds have passed already. We naturally exist a few milliseconds in the past.

Sir Bobsaac Newton, you're almost rediscovering calculus. Keep going! :p

2

u/imbobbathefett Feb 07 '18

hell, we aren't even in the present. we are perpetually 20 milliseconds behind the present because of how long it takes our nervous system to even recognize reality.

the closest you can get to the 'present' is when you're startled by a loud noise, because that activates the spinal collumn, bypassing the brain, in 5 thousanths of a second.

No... While I agree that it's never tomorrow, it's always the future.

1

u/TheCatOfWar Feb 07 '18

If we were in the future then we'd have nothing to look forward to!

1

u/whatthecraw Feb 07 '18

Tomorrow comes and it’s still today, tomorrow never comes. Makes Annie more depressing

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '18

That's not depressing that's just dumb semantics.

Two-Earths theory confirmed.

Yeah, can't wait til the elites blast off to form the next colony leaving at least 95% of the population to live like wall-e. So much to look forward too...
