Is anyone surprised that after all this talk Musk's very first target is a relatively small office that helps to fund clean energy startups - you know to help companies who could provide direct competition to Tesla? This is corruption at it's finest.

None of these people give a shit about government efficiency - this will always be about helping certain companies make more money. You know...corruption.

"Musk also called out the Department of Energy’s chief climate officer in its loan programs office. The office funds fledgling energy technologies in need of early investment and awarded $465 million to Tesla Motors in 2010, helping to position Musk’s electric vehicle company as an EV industry leader."

The relatively small office that Tesla owes much of its success to. Perfect example of the "fuck you, I got mine" mentality of rich assholes.

And the people who worship him are so fucking stupid that they think they're "owning" someone by simply watching Elon Musk pull the ladder up behind him.

I used to wonder how Hitler could ever rise to power and now it all makes perfect sense.

This is the prequel. In a perfect world, after this madness ends with Trump aging and a new breed of political class that looks back and see the serious flaws in our system, and we work to close them together. After all, an extremist of any sort is a clear and present danger to society… eliminating the possibility of that outcome is would be of both parties benefit.

Otherwise, the next one will be worse.

I'm thinking we'll go through the aftermath of the Spanish civil war. Fake Christians & Conservatives violently retaliating against people who want Democracy & fairness. Purged to the point of nonexistence

It's naive to think the madness will necessarily end with Orange aging. Realistically, there will probably have to be a great deal of society wide pain before there will be a strong widespread desire for change. The dummies who voted for him aren't going to readily acknowledge the error.

Because people are basically uneducated in this country. Almost nobody knows civics, history, or has any idea what’s going on in America or the world unless it’s in their feed. Trump got elected because he’s a disrupter and people online love that. The next President will have a mess to clean up unless our Congress has a set … which I doubt

Let's hope we have another President.

Our next President may be decades away  And if the dollar is not the reserve currency, we will take even longer to crawl out of poverty here

It's so utterly bizarre that essentially no one makes that point. But yes, you're absolutely correct

Yes, we used to know this. I guess the people that lived during that time knew the best and they have all died. I'm 65 and learned growing up  how fragile our democracy is. I guess we didn't do a good job instilling that in our own families.

For me too! AND I foolishly thought NO ONE would ever, anywhere, elect another demagogue. Or think they'd be ok with one. Especially not here!

But I'm living this nightmare with low vibrational people happy to do it.

And the same cowardice is displayed in the opposition.

I want this Twilight Zone episode to end.

Yes. Same thing is happening now! Disarming Jewish citizens and banning free speech. Thanks a lot Trump! 😅😅😅

I'll never understand billionaire worship when theyre the kind that step on others to get ahead.

Its one thing to admire George Lucas or Martha Stewart or Oprah who all really earned their money.

Its another thing to lap at the heels of serpentine people like Husk.

It means all EV users in USA will be in a less competitive market. That leads to higher prices and less incentive to innovate or improve the products.

It means these fledgling companies need private equity. These greedy oligarchs and their cronies, so desperate to remove competition so they can own you.

Private equity is the devil....

They just gave Rivian a loan to build a factory in GA. This is why he is doxxing them.

It's the same train of thinking that allows 1st and 2nd generation immigrants being heartless and voting for policies that screw additional migrants after they've secured their statuses.

2

u/whirlyhurlyburly Nov 28 '24

This is so depressing.

2

u/Hipstergranny Nov 28 '24

Time to crash Tesla stock..oh wait, nobody can afford to buy a new car anyway...

u/Dramatic-Steak4711 26d ago

For this reason, I can't stand Conservatives. They all stand on others shoulders & many helping hands but refuse to help other people.

Then they want to tell me & mine how morally bankrupt we are & how superior they are ....
