Hi! I use Photoshop express on my phone all the time for my cake business photos, and recently got my first ever drawing tablet. I downloaded the same Photoshop express app, logged into my same premium account that's logged in on my phone, and the tablet version is missing the remove background function? 😭 Any help on how I could do this on my tablet so I don't have to struggle cleaning up the background on my phone anymore would be appreciated!!! In terms of most photo exports, I have found Jpeg XL to be much smaller than JPEG (up to 50%) even when set to the same quality setting of 10.

This expected behavior doesn't happen with DNG panoramas, however. The JPEG XL even when set to 8-bit is around 5-10x larger than the standard JPEG size for seemingly no reason! (187MB 16-bit JXL, 88.5MB 8-bit JXL, 17.6MB JPG, 8.4MB 8-bit AVIF)

This seems like a bug that needs to be fixed. When tested using AVIF export at the same quality setting, this issue doesn't happen. I don’t want to use AVIF since the files open weirdly in preview.

EDIT: Seems like the glitch has to do with JXL exporting an alpha channel for seemingly no reason. Seems to be no way to turn alpha channel off for Jpeg XL exports.

I can’t post a video but this is what happens right after I let go of the cursor when trying to draw up a new text box. It wasn’t doing this earlier, but it’s doing a bunch of weird stuff so idk lol

Is there a way to easily adjust the tracking of a typography logo saved as a PNG file? I think I could space out each letter individually, but it’s over 20 characters long & that would take too much effort. Is there an easier way to space out the letters evenly?

I want to make this stars look like chrome using gradient but if i use layer mask it turns out like at first pic. If i use gradient map (second pic) it just recolors image (stars would be colored with first color and back with second color). What should I do

This isn't necessarily just for photoshop, but in general too. So you all know how there's image effects things like dents/jitter/fragment/twist/polarize/stitch/waves in many image manipulation software, I was wondering if there's more advanced, and interesting plugins like these I can find?

Especially plugins that would be good for producing random patterns easily (I don't like plugins that create repetitive patterns, like crystalize or dents, which seem to create a repeating distortion that looks uniform everywhere.

Also, outside of image distortion, I'm looking for some levels/curve effects too (ones that affect the image's color/lightness rather than just the spatial positions of things.

For the past few weeks, I’ve had trouble pasting images copied online into Photoshop (Ctrl+V). It used to work with a single copy and paste, but now I have to copy multiple times and try pasting again and again before Photoshop picks it up.

I’ve tried resetting preferences, uninstalling/reinstalling, and even using Adobe Cleaner for a fresh install, but the issue is still there.

I use copyright images with watermarks from Adobe Stock/Shutterstock for drafts and share links with clients to license them later.

System: Windows 11, 64GB RAM

Anyone else facing this? How can I fix it?

I’m looking to scan poster designs/artwork for more analog textures and techniques. Does anybody have any “artist-grade” scanners they recommend? Something in middle range pricing, not too expensive but can still spend a decent amount.

For example, I’m looking to add burn marks to some of my posters or watercolor paint and would love a scanner that can capture all the subtle details!

I'm working on a book cover and can't figure out how I can make my creative vision come to life :)

I want the book title carved into the model's chest. The best I can figure out to do is make it red and put some shadows on it (and warp it to looks more realistic against his skin). Any ideas how to make it look like it's actually craved in with a scalpel or blade?

I’m trying to resize my photos for my tumblr. Im using the same theme as this person and they wrote they take a screenshot in a 2000x3500 resolution using SRWE, then resize that screenshot down to 550x675 yet when I do it my photo ends up distorted and squished in. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Their photos look normal and amazing at those dimensions. I can’t upload these photos to my tumblr looking like this

I am starting out in Photoshop and have been using it for a couple of weeks. Initially, I was having no problem and the assets were perfectly scalable and did not pixelate even after zooming. However, suddenly, a few days ago, they turned pixelated. This is true for both text with basic fonts like Arial, Helvetica etc as well as high quality png files that I download from the internet.

I have tried these following methods for troubleshooting

1. Anti-Aliasing is turned to sharp/smooth etc and it still doesn't improve.
2. I have tried changing the image size and resolution. Currently it is 300 ppi.
3. The problem cannot be with zooming as earlier images could withstand such zooming.
4. I have reinstalled by Photoshop software.

I am running an M1 MacBook Air 2022 version.

This is a later version with the problem of pixelation which is visible even at 100% preview.

I'm trying to stroke a path with a stock round tip brush, but when I select the path and choose the Stroke Path option, the stroke is applied with a previous brush that I don't want to use. This is with the Tool option set to "Brush". So instead of a solid line, I see a stroke made of the previous custom brush, which was a leaf shape. How do I just get the stroke to be the currently selected brush?
