Space Cowboy build complete

Picked up this beauty Henry model X .44mag, had plans to deck it out In full RPP furniture but I actually really like the original plastic stock.. bought some nice leather to compliment and slapped a red dot on to call it a day.

Looks great! Is that a Wayne Dog Leather buttcuff  I spot on it??

Got a similar  rifle, all blacked out, and my biggest dilemma  now is whether to add a brown leather buttcuff and sling, or keep it all black with a black leather buttcuff and sling.

Not sure if your Henry has a Hollow plastic stock, like my Citadel  Levtec does, but if it does and you hate the hollow noise, i fixed mine by taking all the loose plastic wrapping and garbage  around the house, and compacting it into the stock. Others talk about pouring in Resin or expanding foam, but honestly,  just the plastic compressed down  into the stock absolutely took away any hollow noise/feeling, was free, is totally reversible, and actually wasn't too heavy.  Pouring epoxy on the other hand would add a ton of weight, be pretty expensive and be permanent.  Give it a shot if you feel like it!

Yep you got that right! Thanks for the tip seems like a good idea. I liked the all black look too but hard to resist a little but of colour/leather.

Totally get it! I'm tempted to add a full wooden stock to mine to really add in the Little bit of color

I thought about that too, seems a little tricky to get one to fit on the model X. Think you need a straight lever instead as well?

Looks to me like it's the h010/h018 henry stock that fits the Henry x  (at least in 357 for sure, I'm sure it's the same for 44mag)

That way you can keep your Lever and pistol grip, and not need a straight stock
