All Terrain tires for 2003 Outback? QUESTION

Looking for advice on a slightly larger than stock all terrain tire for my 03 outback. The General Grabber AT2 was really the only option I found that was sold in 215/65r16, which from what I’ve read is about as big as you can go without a lift while using stock wheels. The problem is, I can’t seem to find them for sale anywhere. Local tire shop can’t get them and I can’t find them online anymore.

It’s my daily but, also my road trip/camping vehicle so, it’s ends up in some situations at times where some aggressive tread and a little height gain would be nice. I recently bought the RoadOne Cavalry AT for my van and they’ve been great. Just not sure if they’re as good as general grabber or if they’re even sold in that size.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I’d also love to give it a small lift if possible but, I’m not about to spend thousands to get there. I’ve heard of others using forester springs? Is that a horrible idea? lol

Why not Wildpeak AT?

Those actually look like a great option and aren’t horribly expensive like some of the other bigger brands I’ve seen. The main appeal of the grabbers was the price/reviews, these are about 50-60 more per tire but, they look pretty nice and maybe a better blend of on/off-road performance than the grabbers since those have a little more aggressive tread than these wild peaks do.

Can't remember if I had Grabbers on Forester or Rav4, but it was a long time ago anyhow. I did hear great things about Wildpeak asphalt behavior, like it's a proper AT tire that won't turn your kidney stones into kidney sand when going back to asphalt.

They should quote this on the product page “it’s a proper AT tire that won’t turn your kidney stones into kidney sand when going back to asphalt.” I can see it on a billboard now.

I have the wildpeaks on my 96 roadmaster, I’ve been super happy with the (lack of) noise and good ride quality. Havent driven on anything that any all season couldnt manage, yet
