Spotted Dove/blue poo
galleryA Spotted Dove has been hanging out on our balcony for 1-2 weeks. It will visit a few times a day and just sit there, chilling out. I noticed earlier in the week that it left a couple of bright blue poos. Anyone know what the cause could be? Is it sick? I've been leaving out some wild bird food mix that says it's suitable for doves (I did this after the blue poo - thought that it maybe was sick and didn't have energy to find food). It seems to enjoy it. Anyway, I'll let nature do its thing, but would love to know if it's sick and if so, if there's anything I should do/not do to make its life easier?

Fatty juicy pretty duckies
galleryDuckies actually have so many nice details to photograph and one thing I like about them is that they likely come to you if they see you crouching down (some may say this is bad as it is a sign of getting fed by and used to humans). Anyways they could be beautiful.

Ok joking. I am surrounded by about ten of them. I have accepted my fate. Don't try to help, I have had a good life. I surrender myself to the Curlew Gods.

Anyone know of a good spot to see penguins on the Port Arthur peninsula in Tasmania? Birdwatching for the next 3 days and would love to see one.
