Discussion doesnt make sense
One thing that will never make sense to me is the school size advice that pet stores give, like 3 or less corydoras is fine. It just doesn't make sense wouldn't they reccomend the right group size (6 or more) so they can make more money and at the same time the buyer and fish get a better experience?

Question/Help Feeding Gourami
New aquarium owner asking how do you determine the volume of food to feed fish-specifically we have two gourami and they are actively eating a few pellets fed once a day. Insights and advice welcome!

Freshwater Can I move 125L aquarium outdoors?
I have a 125L tank with 2 clown coaches and 2 bristlenose plecos - all at least 10 years old.
I am contemplating moving the aquarium outdoors to a well sheltered spot on my back deck (no direct sun and under cover). Sydney Australia climate - coastal so not too hot, but down to 8-10 overnight in winter. Tank has a heater and is well maintained.
Interested to hear thoughts - mainly if you think I'll be jeopardising my fishy friends if they live an outdoor life.
I need to move the tank so I can paint the room its currently in and I'd prefer to just move the fish once rather than shuffle them around over a few weeks.
Everyone is hiding in my pic!

Freshwater Mystery snail help
I recently got a mystery snail a few days ago however it has not moved since I first put it in the tank and it is alive as I have done the smell test and I have seen its tentacles poking out but either its body is only half way out of its shell or has its trap door fully closed. Is there anything wrong and if so what can I do to help this? Or are they just sleepy or adjusting?

Discussion Suitable replacement for black skirt and white skirt tetras
I am rehoming 8 black skirts and white skirts that currently live alongside my 10 redeye tetras. I am looking for a replacement and have the following list to pick from: Rummynose tetras Congo tetras Costae tetras Pentazona barbs Additional redeye tetras Anything else?
Iβd love to have species diversity, but I wondered if expanding the redeye shoal size is better for the fish. The tank is 160 L, medium to heavy planted. pH 7.5. Water parameters are good. Any suggestions please?

Freshwater I love my lights!
galleryI did a ton of research to get to the right lights for my aquarium and landed in the Ireenuo ones that were the right size for my 60x30x30. I have other focals and didnβt like them because being more diffused and broad the ireenuo ones light up the back wall and give me the most spectacular views of my aquarium during the night. So far my favourite lights!

My Khulis are so clownish! This little fella was doing this for a good 5 minutes before I decided to film it for posterity. Please forgive the neons doing the sexy dance.

Freshwater Neon tetra disease? Stress?
galleryNoticed my neon tetra looked a bit weird (I fed them not to long ago) Iβm not sure if heβs developing an illness or if he ate a bit to much, his tail seems pale to. I have noticed fin nipping between the neons maybe I should bump the numbers up from 6 to 8? Not sure what to do on that front but does he looks sick? (Tail appears even paler in pictures)

Question/Help White Polypropylene?
Does anyone know if dyed white polypropylene filament (for a 3D printer) would leech dye into the water? Specifically eryone filament. I know people use polypropylene, including white from milk cartons, for aquariums and it is regarded as safe, however 3D printer companies donβt disclose the dyes used for filaments π

Freshwater Dither Fish
I am new to fishies! I recently got a 10 Gal tank and cycled everything so it all looks great! I currently have 2 honey gourami and a rainbow Platy and would like to know how to maintain a more peaceful environment because one of my gourami is a little aggressive when it comes to feeding time and when the other fish are swimming around and not hiding. I did a little research and discovered that dither fish are a thing! I would like to know if that would be recommended in this scenario and if so what kind of fish?

What are they doing? I think they are being territorial according to google, but not sure. They were pretty chill and happy in the beginning and suddenly I noticed they started chasing each other and doing this. Is this normal? What can I do to help? Iβm planning on redoing my tank this weekend. Taking out almost all gravel, adding sand, keeping the plants and taking out almost all of the plastic. Also thinking of adding 2 more guppies. Advice appreciated and welcomed!

Question/Help My Panda Corys got Babys. What do I do now?
I had this tank since 5 months and didnt expect this to happen. I was in vacation for one week and when I got back I noticed a tiny almost transparent fish laying in the soil. It had the same black collors on its head as the adult corys. In the next couple days I saw more babys, some were smaller then a pebble. I am very amazed by this but I also dont really know what to do now. Do they need special treatment? Special food? Do other fish eat them?
