Yet with these fast approvals, I’m on day 70 for an individual f4 😬

Was gonna say that I remembered posts from people saying it had been over a year back then. At that time, I ordered my first 2 (and only) cans and knew it would be a long wait but it was what it was. 2 weeks or so later after I placed my order, I was notified that the FFL that I chose, and who already had possesion of the cans, was sutting down their business.

When this happens, they notify the ATF of orders they are in possesion of. ATF fast tracks those orders simpy because the FFL is responsible for the items until they can legally release them. Ended up just shy of 3 months, felt like I won the lottery. Sad thing was the FFL/shop going out of business. They were very nice, informative and didn't judge newbies (I definitely was in regards to suppressors), they really enjoyed what they did. It just got to be too much dealing with the state and their never ending changing requirements and codes and what not.

If my next can is approved in under 30 days, I am going to send a thank-you card to the new head of the NFA division. I hear he's the one we have to thank for the fast approvals, because he cut the busywork and modernized the process.

Some still are, especially when using a trust.

I’m on day 123.  Seems like if you aren’t instant NICS approval then that is still the case.

Individual application or trust?

Is this individual or trust? I submitted mine in a trust on the 21st and still waiting.

please go to the NFA subreddit and add the data to their tracker, it's a great way of spreading the word.

Filed my first form 4 today through East County Guns. After holding my RC2 for the first time, I hope mine comes back as quick as yours! It hurt to have to leave my can in jail. 😂

Nice. My longest was 186 days. My shortest was 45ish purchase to pickup. Everything in a trust.

Never had a form 4 take longer than 10 days ever. Form 1 on the other hand, last one few years ago went 9 months. Picking up an rc2 don’t need this weekend see how it goes this time. Picking up I mean submitting, came in to my local SOT

Sound Loan did it all for me then emailed me the prints to use for my form 1.

22 or 9?

How do you like it? Thinking about getting one for my 22.

  1. I got it for my 10/22 and tx22. I was worried it would be too heavy but it’s great, very happy with it.

Awesome thanks! I'm going to get one for my 10/22 takedown backpacker. Backordered on silencer shop right now though.

No comment on the can but I also got the ruger backpacker magpul setup recently, great little rifle and the storage configuration is awesome. Made the mistake of going to a buddies place and saw his Ruger I-Tac SE Talo 22 with the swing arm, so ya, FFL just got it and waiting on the call to do paperwork. There was an issue intially, the Talo ships with a 25 round mag, phoned in and told them to remove it, all good after that. Hope your wait for the can isn't too long.

Have had approvals in less than 16 days recently efiled with mailed in prints and also had 3 months. Theres no telling how long it'll take those _. Alot better than the beginning of the year and last year where everything was 9 months to a year out.

I am curious about why they are processing these so quickly now. Does anyone know?
