Easy Upper-Division Classes?
Hey everyone,
I’m a senior, and I still need 6 upper-division classes to graduate. I’m looking for easy classes with no long papers, and no group projects. So far, I know MUJ351 and ERTH305 are relatively easy. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Options for parking waitlist
I totally forgot to renew my overnight parking permit for the winter term and had to get back on the waitlist. It seems like there is no more movement—what are my options for overnight parking nearby? I live in the dorms so anywhere that is safe and I can get to on bus will work fine. TIA!

UofO as a Whole
Hello!! Class of 2029 (upcoming class) here and I am majoring in Biochemistry
I was accepted into UofO and I was wondering to hear from current and past students: What does UofO bring to an out-of-state student? Is the community easy for me (a black girl) to adapt to? how is the biochem program and what does it come with and bring? How is the community outside of school?
Also are there many scholarships available? I was offered $50,000 ($12,500 per year) and currently waiting for FAFSA.

Dorm Question
I'm in a triple currently, with an empty spot. I was just wondering what sort of notice I'll get if someone is moving in? Tried Google and have come up empty.

Can I get a pet and hide it? OIMB/UO
Hi, I live off campus at UO currently, but I am going to be attending and the marine biology campus in the future. I am also considering buying a frog. Does anyone know the policy at OIMB/UO for amphibians? How likely do you think it is they will check the living space if I decide to go ahead and get one? Wanting to hear from anyone who has had a pet at UO or knows about it.

Ducks and childslavery
How can any minority or any person with any morals at all go to a school, or a football program funded by one of the largest child slavery rings in the world? Egotistical Elites telling all of us how "woke" they are while funding their programs using $$ from Uncle Phil. Amazing how this fact is ignored by the media, the people of Eugene and student at the U of O. You all suck, really and truly. How do you live with this?

best student housing, high quality/cheap?
any recommendations for high quality apartments that aren't too expensive? (preferably less than 1500 for a studio/one bed) i'm currently living at ducks village but definitely won't be next year, the place isn't horrible and it's actually not too bad for the price but management is pretty unprofessional and the apartments are a little gross. i'm looking for a place with actually good management, i don't really care about amenities again as long as the place is managed well, clean, and is furnished. i've been checking out ferry street flats, they seem pretty good, as well as patterson social and chase courtyard. thoughts?

Class Styles
Hi! I’m currently a sophomore at UO and I’m already trying to work out a possible class schedule for spring term, as my younger sister is graduating from high school on the first day of finals week. I’m hoping to know if you’ve taken these classes, if they had a traditional in person final or something like an essay or project that I wouldn’t have to physically be here for. Specifically the classes I’m wondering about are FHS 490, ANTH 176 and PSY 305. TIA!!

Off campus housing
I’m sure there is a wide variety, but generally speaking how does off campus housing compare to on campus housing price wise? Is it hard to find decent off campus housing that’s not too far from campus? TY!

JSMA Calvin and Hobbes exhibit
There is an exhibit at the University of Oregon Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. I’m a huge fan of Calvin and Hobbes and I’d love to see the exhibit. Is anyone close to JSMA and willing to take photos and videos?
The Calvin and Hobbes subreddit would be grateful, too! https://jsma.uoregon.edu/art/exhibition/its-still-magical-world-hobbes-ol-buddy

Roommate hunting
Hi my name is Ghost! I’ve been pretty active on this subreddit since I’m going to UO in fall and I’m beyond excited. Even though it’s early I really want to find a roommate. I’ve heard the roommate horror stories and I don’t want that to ruin college for me. I want to really get to know someone to make sure we are the right fit for rooming together. If anyone else is roommate searching and is interested talk to me! I love reading, DnD, podcast and going to the movies! Dm me if you are interested!

Biology PhD Interview
Hi! I applied for the Bio PhD program at UO and received an interview invite. I was wondering if there are other grad students here who could answer my questions:
1) How many people interviewed you?
2) How many times were you interviewed?
3) Any advice on the interview itself?
4) Would you happen to know the admit rate after the interview?
Thank you!! Any help is appreciated.

How long until financial aid offer?
I submitted my FAFSA a couple days after it opened and Oregon says they have it, how long does it take for them to evaluate it and send out a financial aid package?
