Ok, some of this is straight up Captain Obvious quotes but anyway...
Anyone who thinks it is "interesting to see" racism "coming out of the woodwork" from the right needs to rethink the bubble they live in. Perhaps also consider the totality instead of just how things affect themselves for a change? One-issue vote against "meritocracy" has condemned millions of people in the same racial demo- brown people of origins outside the nativist anglo dome- to a world of hurt and probably are endangering themselves to boot.
They are aware of the racism, she's being a hypocrite. It's when it's not directed at <insert the original tweeter's race>, then it's not a problem, because surely racism works in a tight box and is never expanded on. Hitler killed lots of white and white-adjacent people while he was targeting Jewish people, people need to realize that. Just because some group isn't the primary target doesn't mean they aren't a target.
Sometimes you get played for votes (e.g. Asian Americans and trying to take a few dozen Harvard/Yale admissions from Blacks and Latinos, but ultimately losing more admissions and helping legacy admissions get hundreds more admissions in the end, and I say this as someone close to Asian diaspora, it was completely misguided) before you get on the chopping block.
