Ok, some of this is straight up Captain Obvious quotes but anyway...
Anyone who thinks it is "interesting to see" racism "coming out of the woodwork" from the right needs to rethink the bubble they live in. Perhaps also consider the totality instead of just how things affect themselves for a change? One-issue vote against "meritocracy" has condemned millions of people in the same racial demo- brown people of origins outside the nativist anglo dome- to a world of hurt and probably are endangering themselves to boot.
Indian immigrants, who have been doing their damndest to perpetuate the caste system in every country they emigrate to, are the last people who can claim to be all about meritocracy.
To the great annoyance of the people who left India to get away from this crap (plus not being a nepo baby or corrupt). My parents had an intercaste marriage and I get the feeling it was an talked in our UK community but not out loud.
I remember some BORU about a guy that finding out one of his work colleagues get bullied by some guys because of their different caste. Foget how did that end up though.
