Jimmy Carter: The Catalyst of Middle Eastern Chaos
open.substack.comJimmy Carter’s presidency is often praised for its moral approach and diplomatic milestones, but a closer examination reveals a legacy of opportunism, mismanagement, and short-sighted policies. The Camp David Accords, while significant, overshadowed the contributions of other key players, meanwhile, his secret dealings during the Iranian Revolution, support for Islamist movements, and disastrous foreign policy decisions in Afghanistan compounded these issues. Coupled with his mismanagement of the energy crisis, Carter’s tenure reflects a series of strategic miscalculations with enduring consequences.

HUMINT Bias: SIGINT in the Novels of John le Carré
This article originally appeared in 1992 in a National Security Agency publication.
The nine espionage novels John le Carre has written since 1964 have been widely read and analyzed on many levels-authenticity, political slant, and even literary symbolism. This article will look at the ways in which SIGINT has been portrayed in those novels-how often, how accurately, and to what effect. It will also demonstrate that, while le Carre has often found it handy to use SIGINT as a plot device, he does not hold SIGINT or the other technical intelligence disciplines in particularly high regard.

Am I being spied on?
I had someone in my house yesterday leave a bag. The lights in the house were on, then they completely shut off and our router was reset - this happened twice. While this was happening something was buzzing in the bag at the exact moment the lights would go out and the router would reset. Could this be some kind of bug? The person whose bag it was was pretty far away at the time. Could it be a bug or something triggered remotely? Inside the bag was a Chipolo airtag, selfie stick with wired handles, and two selfie lights. Could the device be sneaked into those things?

Degrees & Education
Maybe a dumb question (give me a break, i’m 15 LOL.) , but does my university degree need to correlate with intelligence if i’m planning to go to the military (intelligence officer) & do paid education then work in intelligence (either csis or a private agency)
I could do Languages, Pol Sci, or International Relations— but i want a more flexible/versatile major. So, should I major in something more connected to intelligence or should I choose my own major?

Some OSINT Tools For Intelligence Collection
- Reddit OSINT Bot: Developed a bot to systematically collect comments and posts based on specified trigger words and subreddits. Data is stored in a structured format, enhancing its usability for analysis (JSON file). https://imgur.com/a/reddit-osint-bot-TIT30Ri
- Reddit AI Bot: Designed an AI-powered bot leveraging GPT-Neo (1.3 billion parameters) to generate replies to posts and comments on selected subreddits.
- Reddit User Data Bot: Built a tool to aggregate and export all comments and posts from a specified Reddit user, with output structured into a JSON file.
- Telegram Data Collection Bot: Created a bot to collect and archive chats from specified Telegram groups, saving the data in a structured JSON file.
Next step would be sentiment analysis for both marketing and intelligence related purposes.
