Welp, They Finally Broke Our Bud Datto Media

He's so right. There's a suit at Bungo that got paid for this decision. More concerned with the next few months of $$ than the next few years of players.

Jerma is also one of the exceptions... most streamers that are anchored to one game flop when they try to branch out.

Another exception would be PreachGaming - he pivoted very neatly from WoW to MMORPGs more broadly. It helps to have a very dissatisfied playerbase that's looking for a new game to leap to, though there isn't anything that can neatly replace Destiny as FFXIV did for WoW fans.

Yup, D2 watchers basically only wanna watch D2 and present them with anything else and they leave, there isn't any game close enough to pivot to unless you're lucky enough to get that Genshin audience I guess?

Correct, I watched Warframe and I'm like...where is the raid? Where is the 6-man communication challenges like with Toad's "VoG but we may only say Telesto".
My understanding is that Warframe has nothing even close to that and it is actually closer to Old School Runescape in the sense that it is very focused on giving a more single-player progression fantasy
