Welp, They Finally Broke Our Bud Datto Media

He's so right. There's a suit at Bungo that got paid for this decision. More concerned with the next few months of $$ than the next few years of players.

I feel bad for him. Destiny is a sinking ship that he tied himself too, now he just has pray he somehow survives the storm

Feel bad?

Dude is making hundreds of thousands per year playing games, and will likely be able to parlay that into all sorts of video/stream related careers. Dude essentially has the equivalent of a golden parachute even if destiny dies immediately

That’s like saying actors make hundreds of thousands per year just talking. There’s a reason not everyone is a successful YouTuber (that isn’t using obvious predatory methods to gain views from kids of course).

Also he has more of a bronze parachute since his non-Destiny videos get way less views.

Y'all are ignoring what was said. Read full sentences.

Datto is already rich, and he has an online presence that will give him easy mobility into YouTube/twitch adjacent careers.

It's a fool's errand feeling bad for him. Feel bad the folks that have an unhealthy parasocial relationship with streamers.
