Guns & Ammo CCW when flying to a restricted state
galleryTomorrow I’m flying to Colorado to go snowboarding. Colorado has a 15 round mag restriction and bans “ghost guns”. My typical carry gun in a P80 build w/ 15 rd magazine so that’s a no go.
I realized I don’t have very many carry guns that fit both those constraints at the moment.
These two guns are the ones I’ve put the most rounds through in the last couple weeks that are legal so that’s what I’m taking.
Guns & Ammo Guess I need an RCR now
i.redd.itSo 500 rounds through the RMR HD and I’m pretty sure it’s replaced the SRO as my favorite pistol optic. Mainly due to the auto adjust sensor actually working pretty well, vs the SRO’s which is subpar. It also seems like the dot is slightly crisper to my eyes.
Last three optics have been SRO’s but I think from now on it will be RMR HDs on new guns.

Holsters & Belts Holster Solutions
galleryHolster solutions
Looking for holster ideas. I want to go from the position shown in the picture to right handed OWB.
Also want it to be secure. So I was looking at Safarilands QLS system or similar. But I’d need attachment points on either side.
Goal here is to leave behind an attachment point that is not a holster. So I can leave it securely attached all the time and just slide in my holster. But have that same holster attach to an open carry set up.
Context: because I know everyone needs to know “why”. Vast majority of my travel in the Jeep is to go hunting which is an hour or more away. I open carry in the woods. So I’d like to be able to pop off my open carry holster at the house, throw it in this position for travel. Then pop it back off and on my RH OWB when I hit the woods.
TLDR: Looking for dual sided secure quick release holsters for my 365 XMacro. Thanks.

Guns & Ammo Opinions on the Shield Plus Carry Comp for CCW? Should I get it?
i.redd.itHello everyone, so as the title suggests, lam looking at getting the Shield Plus Carry Comp as my new CCW and wanted some opinions and information about it. I am traditionally a Glock guy and I love my Glock 19, but it's too big for CCW for me in most cases. I also own a Ruger MAX-9, but I'm dealing with some reliability issues (Yeah I'm going to send it to Ruger), but overall just don't enjoy shooting it very much due to the snappiness and feeling as if it's just too small. I have been doing a ton of research and I really like the idea of having this as my CCW. One thing I would like in a CCW is a thinner firearm, hence why I am looking at this firearm as my Glock is too thick and my Ruger just feels to skinny so I want something in between. This does that for me. Secondly, I really like the 4" barrel as it will assist with recoil and add a bit of velocity to my ammunition, as well as I don't run into any issues carrying a firearm with a longer barrel. Thirdly, I want something that has a good trigger. I am okay with the Glock trigger, but the Ruger trigger is far from great and I don't want to swap it to add another layer of possible areas of failure for an already malfunctioning firearm. Fourth, I want an optics ready firearm and like the idea of this being a direct mount rather than a plate system. Finally, I really want a reliable CCW, which l've heard the Shield Plus is. I could opt for the Glock 48, but it just seems like for an extra $50 (which I can find it for), I can get something that just has a lot more features that would be worth it. Just looking for anyone who is able to rationalize my thoughts and tell me if they agree, disagree, or just have any extra points of discussion that are important. Once again, any personal experiences or just general opinions are welcome and I apologize for the word salad thanks!

Permit Process Az CCW
I took Az CCW class last Saturday in Cabela's in Pa and mailed out fingerprint cards earlier this week. I paid $50 for the class, $60 to file and it was about four hours long. My instructor had a table at the Oaks Pa Gun Show.
I applaud Az and the other states that seem pro 2A and don't make good people jump through hoops. Many states have over priced filing/renewal fees and require you to sumbit an outrageous amount of paperwork. When they ever find the method to conduct business less costly and more efficiently, we may never know.

Holsters & Belts Does anyone else use a shoulder holster or am I the only one?
i.redd.itI have a few different holsters but I like using the shoulder holster when I can. I do a lot of driving and it's comfortable in the car and easier for me to get to while seated.

Pocket Dump / EDC "Anything EDC should be uncomfortable"
Is what a buddy of mine said. I highly disagree. Some people have no idea what edc means. It means your off duty. You're not in the military anymore. Being the Grey man isn't a meme slogan.

Guns & Ammo CCW Set Ups
galleryMy county limits me to three on my license. Decided to keep the set up similar for familiarity with manual of arms. Having said that, the xmacro is my go to and what I find the easiest to shoot.

Pocket Dump / EDC Glock 48x / Sig p365x / Glock 26?
Hi, I currently own a Glock 19, but I find it difficult to conceal carry due to the grip. It always prints when carrying appendix, and if I carry it at 4 or 5 o'clock, it's uncomfortable too. I'm using a Tenicor Certum3.
I've been considering the Sig P365x, Glock 48x, or Glock 26.
With the Glock 26, I could keep using the same holster and magazines from the Glock 19.
Could anyone recommend one of these options? Which would be the best suited for concealed carry?
Thanks!

Holsters & Belts Noob looking for advice
I'm not even sure where to start with my CCW setup. Recently purchsed my first gun, Glock 19 Gen3. After getting comfortable using it, spending hours on youtube and reddit soaking up all thi info and tips I can, decided to pick up a holster today. I'm in a Constituional Carry state, but want to get formal training before I carry, for legal and comfort reasons.
Maybe I'm being cheap, or maybe I just don't realize what it takes to carry? Grabbed an AlienGear holster from Cabelas. It's cheap, I get it - but I can take it back if I don't like it.
I'd prefer to carry appendix, but also didn't hate the feel of 4 o'clock.
My issues so far - what is comfortable isn't easily accessible, and what's accessibel ins't comfortable, or prints. Maybe I need a better belt? Better holter?
I'm 45, 5'10, 160lbs, bit of a pot belly but slim otherwise. Where I normally wear my pants, my gut just sits on top of the gun and I can't draw easily.
How did you find what works best, WITHOUT gaining a drawer of useless holsters and belts?
Edit - I'm not even 100% that the glock is what I want to carry when I do. I dream of getting a S&W M&P 9mm Shield Plus PC 3.1".
Memes Who can relate?
i.redd.itSaw this on Babylon Bee and thought a lot of people can relate.

Legal California holder-Active Military. Just had license suspended due to out of state ID. Help.
As stated. I’m an active duty Marine Corps Officer, with orders in California. I have a NC drivers license (also a REAL ID). I got my CCW through San Bernadino county no problem, but just got a phone call that CA DOJ is now telling all Sheriff’s offices to suspend CCWs for any out of state ID holders, even active duty with orders. Huge 2nd amendment violation, and I’ve already left my congressman a voicemail.
How the hell do I get this to blow up and resolved? They want me to get a CA drivers license, which I absolutely should not have to do. Any NRA contacts I need to notify? Etc. thank you.
Update: I have contacted everyone and their mother that you guys recommended so far. The detective from the sheriffs office called me back and understood my position. He’s saying just need a CA ID Card, not DL. Still, the principle of all of this is a huge violation for multiple reasons. For reasons of being able to carry, I’m paying the stupid $39 for the ID, but am absolutely not letting down on contacting the right authorities on this. I’m one of thousands of service members being affected throughout the state currently.

Guns & Ammo Carryung two on a skinny dude
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Rarely carry this way but it’s nice to have the option. I’m a pretty skinny fella. These Viktos jeans are very comfortable but they do fit a little larger to true size. Tenicor holster for my Glock 45 on a HC belt. I’ve got Hamre Forge hooked grips on my jframe but I can make it work. Still fits well in my Bulman pocket holster. It does add some bulk but with colder weather it’s easier to pull it off.
Guns & Ammo Compact recommendations
I got the new gun itch, looking for a good compact size. For whatever reason I keep going back to a Glock 19, but the M&P just feels so good. Am open to suggestions, besides Taurus

Guns & Ammo Recommendations for a gun-shy wife’s first firearm?
Hey everyone, it’s pretty much as the title says. My wife is very wary of firearms but has slowly been warming up to them since we’ve been together. Lately, she’s been showing more confidence around my firearms and I think she may be ready for a handgun of her own - specifically one she can conceal carry if she decides she needs to. The only issue is, she’s never even fired a gun before and my only experience is with a Glock 19. Would anybody like to recommend something that is comfortable to carry but easy to shoot for an extreme novice? I’m hoping to get her into a range to rent and try a couple different models here soon, but we won’t be making a purchase for the next few months.
