A shockingly bad way to store cameras.

It hurts my soul to see all these cameras just… open, no lenses or caps, dust and grime and whatnot can enter and ruin a potentially great little camera.

Most likely needing mirror and/or focusing screen replacement. If you are handy you could look for another identical camera to use for parts. A good thing to do is also check the shutter by opening the back and examining the curtains, and some of those cameras might even need shutters replaced.

Meh, I regularly buy lots of cameras like this, and while they may get a couple more dings and scratches I've only had a broken mirror once. And that's one of around 250 cameras! I've also only had one with a ruined focusing screen, and that was my fault about 5 years ago when I didn't know that a qtip with IPA will ruin a focusing screen :)

They probably are broken, i know a store where they store cameras with major defects in the same way. You get one of them for around 15bucks a piece if you are looking for replacement parts
