From what I understand we’ve always been for immigration the common talking point is immigrations is what leads to innovation and cultural diversity which is one of the things which makes the United States the United States.

People are upset about Elon’s H1B visa statement because he’s “replacing Americans with foreigners” but is that not the exact same argument that MAGA has been used for illegal immigration? “They’re taking our jobs”

The H1B immigration obviously provides a net benefit to the country meanwhile illegal immigration provides literally nothing.

Why are we so offended by the H1B legal immigration that’s limited to about 65,000 a year but turning a blind eye to the southern border were an estimated 2.2 million people cross annually that’s a 34x difference providing no skilled labor vs the size of a small stadium providing vital skills necessary to move industry forward

Mr beast fell off

Imo mrbeast's videos are becoming boring , I've been subscribed to him since he had like 20ish 30 million subs and I feel like everything impressive has already been done (by him ofc) so when I watch his newer videos , I feel like they're just filled with a lot of the old boring challenges and are just not entertaining anymore . I just want others opinion concerning his videos Ps : I still like the guy and never hated him even after the "allegations" about him or Chris or any other member .

I think monogamy is extinct

My childish fantasy of having one loyal and loving partner for life has been slowly fading away to the point I’m forcing myself to just leave it behind in 2024 because all I see nowadays is people afraid of commitment, people cheating and people who just want situationships with as many people as possible so they can feel central and feed their tiny egos ughhhhh never gonna be in a relationship and have the love story I always wanted so sad to kiss goodbye this dream of mine!

Alright, I need to get something off my chest, and honestly, I’m shaking as I write this.

I’ve been holding onto this secret for way too long, and I can’t keep it bottled up any longer. It’s something that I know is going to shock everyone who knows me, but I’ve come to realize that honesty is the best policy, even if it means facing the consequences.

So here it goes: a couple of years ago, I cheated on my girlfriend. And not just once—I’m talking about multiple times. I know, I know. You’re probably thinking, “What an asshole!” and you’re right to feel that way. I was in a committed relationship, and I completely betrayed her trust. At the time, I was caught up in a whirlwind of emotions and temptation, and I let it get the best of me. I convinced myself that it was just a phase, that it didn’t mean anything, but deep down, I knew it was wrong.

I didn’t just hurt her; I hurt myself too. The guilt has been eating away at me for years. I could never bring myself to confess because I was terrified of losing her. I kept pretending everything was fine, acting like the perfect boyfriend while hiding this massive secret. But every time I looked at her, I felt like a fraud. It’s like I was living a double life, and I hated myself for it.

To make matters worse, I’ve seen how my actions affected her. She changed, became more insecure, and I could tell she was struggling. I thought I could bury my guilt, but it just made everything worse. I eventually ended the relationship because I couldn’t keep lying to her or myself. I thought that walking away would somehow make it easier, but it didn’t. It just left me feeling more empty than ever.

I’ve been reflecting on this for a long time, and I realize that I need to own up to my mistakes. I don’t expect anyone to forgive me, and I completely understand if people want nothing to do with me after this. I just needed to get this off my chest. If you’re reading this and you’ve ever been tempted to cheat, learn from my mistakes. The pain of betrayal is something that lingers, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I hope that by sharing this, I can finally start to heal and maybe help someone else avoid the same path I took.

Discussion Thread Lingerie isn't very sexy

I find almost anything else sexier in fact... sundress, jean shorts, oversized tee shirt, skirt, crop top, business attire, bikini.

If I find a lady sexy I'll obviously be aroused by her in lingerie as well but the lingerie itself doesn't add anything, sometimes the intricacy of the garments actually detracts a bit.

People say oh it helps a lady feel sexy, that's great but if she doesn't already feel sexy for her man that's a bit of a problem in itself.

If he says he finds her sexy in everyday wear she should believe him.

I might also be an outlier in saying that I tend to find women sexier in clothes. Of course I would like them to come off eventually but seeing a lady in say a secretary attire gets me going more than a micro bikini for the most part. I guess it's the power of imagination and teasing?

Tips:

Baka istället i större mängder och frys in. Exempel: Kanelbullar.

Köp köttfärs i storpack och frys in.

Other Artists need to shut up about 'AI taking jobs'

I wouldn't say I'm experienced or good enough to be artist, but I draw frequently and sometimes post this art. I don't like the way AI is used. I think it's unreasonable to use artists' works in training data without crediting them in any way. But this is where my resentment of generative AI ends.

I see many artists saying the reason AI is bad is because it 'takes away jobs from artists'. I think this is an awful argument. If AI generated images are better than human generated images, then humans need to draw better, especially since AI generated images really aren't that good. If a person needs a product or service and they get it in the way that has the most quality for the least cost, they are only making a wise decision.

This is also a way where people can get images themselves, even if they aren't fully making it. It's convenient for people who need an image but aren't priveleged enough to have money to throw around to commission artists. Is someone who buys microwave food 'taking away jobs from chefs' just because they want food that costs less? An even more accurate compariosn are vocal synths. Is someone who uses a vocal synth to generate singing 'taking away jobs from singers'?

Most of the artist community does not agree with me. I've had artist friends call me a traitor just for suggesting I would give non-nightshaded copies of things I've drawn to people who DM me as long as they promise to give me credit in some way and link to the model/place they post the art so I can make sure they are giving credit. This is definitely an unpopular opinon. Still, I think AI images are a fascinating alternative to art and a good way for artists to make sure their art is good enough for people to buy.

Advice Likely unpopular opinion: avoid animal parks

This is my first time visiting Japan and based on many of the itineraries that I saw posted here and what I have seen on social media, I decided to visit both the Nara Deer Park and the Arashiyama Monkey Park.

After seeing both, I would personally not recommend anyone to visit these parks. The animals looked very unhealthy from being fed the same food over and over again. Likely lacking a proper diet from food they would normally get on their own in the wild. The deers are fed crackers that are sold by street vendors around the park. Most deers have had so much of the crackers that they refuse to even eat them when you offer it. There were lots of people that would continue to put the cracker in the deers face even though they clearly weren’t interested. I saw one young deer that was screaming because it was uncomfortable with the people around it but people ignored and continued to invade its space. Most deers had mangy looking fur. The male deers have their antlers removed and shaved down. All in all a very unnatural environment and unhealthy looking deer.

Same thing for the monkeys, there was a store at the top of the park where the monkeys hangout and they sell peanuts that you can buy and feed the monkeys through a fenced room.

I feel very sad for these animals as they are completely being exploited for tourism. I hope I am not the only one here who feels this way.

TLDR: Avoid animal parks. Animals looked unhealthy and sad 😢

Discussion Controversial take bloodborne doesn't need a remake

Now stick with me here. Bloodborne is one of my favourite games and I return to it very often but the people complaining about no remake has just gotten plane annoying like don't get me wrong a remake would be good and all but it doesn't need it the game still looks very good better then dark souls 1 and 2 and they got a remake and it barely changed anything so if there was a bloodborne remake it wouldn't do much and the devs could change more then just looks and that could end up ruining some aspects of the game like certain bosses. So can this community quiet down about the remake bloodborne will get one eventually but in the meantime it looks great and amazing so there isn't any need to complain.
