Changing 111mm scales question

I just bought a set of red dual density scales for my Forester. I realized that I've never changed nylon scales. Is there anything special about them or do I just use hot water to remove them like cellidor scales?

Cellidor has a maximum temp of 160 F or 70 C before the scales start to warp or otherwise are damaged. not sure about nylon. The point of warm water is to prevent the attachment points from cracking so they can be reused easier/better, so if you are sure about not reusing them its not needed.
