Where’d you get the repair kit?

Found it on eBay several months ago. Today was the first time I used it. Makes replacing springs very easy.

Was the price reasonable? The ones I’ve seen have been priced $200-$300

About $100. I figured it would be worth it long term since I restore a lot of older Swiss Army.

What does it come with at that price? Was it complete? Are the consumables cost-effective and readily available to non-licensed repair techs?
Ha, sorry for all the questions!

It comes with the anvil/clamp that holds the knife in place, 2 punches, and a tool that looks like a weird phillips screwdriver. I saw a video on YouTube where it was used to open the hole before putting the new spring in, but that wasn't necessary for me. Mine is not quite complete. There should be a chart on card stock clipped into the lid and the kit doesn't include every type of spring. The springs can all be purchased online though. I think that also answers your question about consumables.
I don't mind the questions. I haven't seen many of these kits myself, so I'm happy to tell you what I can about it.

Your picture made me wonder how to maintain a Victorinox and what tools you need. Do you have any tips?
