I too hope they spend some time on this. Has been painful for years now to the point of me disabling the new store, and never using the launcher unless i need to download an asset.
You would think it would be a priority, has to be losing them sales from people that dont want to use the clunky launcher, in comparison to steam which is super streamlined and fast...
I wouldn't call steam streamlined or fast. It's also very clunky, prone to timing out, and not very intuitive. EGS is just all that and worse. :)
It seemed much faster before they turned it into a game store. It feels like part of this is due to everyone wanting to just use a web browser with a skin over it. I'm sure it saves money but it's slow as hell.

Good job guys! however, i would gladly change all this entire realease for a launcher that were not so painfully slow.
