You could just grow plants for personal use and that wouldn't involve any organised crime

I live with housemates who don't object to me smoking but would absolutely object to me growing in the house. I know because I asked. Growing is a bigger crime than smoking

How the fuck can growing a plant even be illegal.
Most, if not all weed is rock solid these days full of pgr .they should do something like Spain and let people grow there own

They made picking magic mushrooms illegal. They grow everywhere and have done for millennia but now they're forbidden

Pretty sure picking mushrooms is legal? I was always told that it's only once you dry them they become illegal.

It's illegal; they just can't get you for it easily. If you have a fresh mushroom you can easily just say you like mushrooms or pick them for other reasons, and it would therefore be hard to prosecute you on the grounds of abusing it as a drug if you can simply say you were unaware it was a drug. If you dry them, they can try to use that as evidence you're dealing or preparing them as drugs.

Comparison: It's like how if you found a belladonna flower on my bedside table you'd struggle to say I'm a poisoner compared to if I had a bunch of dried belladonna petals in a drawer. The difference is they can show evidence of planning or premeditation of something.

They rot extremely quickly so fresh ones are pretty much completely unviable to trade.

Technically the law is so wide-reaching literally everything "Mind altering" is illegal unless specifically okayed by the government. Obviously actual enforcement is of a different mindset, but the law passed under Theresa May to this effect is one of the most wide-reaching antidrug laws in the world by effectively being a whitelist instead of a blacklist.
