How good do the Adapted and Assimilated rep sets do on a beam boat build, and what energy flavour works best? I would assume Plasma, but wouldn't want to guess just by the Torpedo alone since the beam is kinetic. Also, if it's not worth the time to get then is Omega better and, if so, what energy flavour gets the best mileage from the Omega set?

I'm thinking of replacing the I.S.S. Hood (T5 Odyssey from Fleet Shipyard) with the Dimensional Typoon (once it comes to console), so am thinking of a third energy flavour and Rep to pair with my Exploration Cruiser Retrofit (I.S.S. Warspite).

The idea of the Warspite getting damaged during the Iconian War (the fluff that had me start using my Legendary Dreadnought Cruiser {I.S.S. Vanguard} properly) then coming back swinging with a whole new rep set is one I really like, but I don't want to gimp myself because this game has been infamous in slapping me silly now and again so wanting to plan ahead.

For those sets, any energy flavor would be fine, there are no elements of those sets that would favor any energy flavor. The Assimilated ship set is quite old and well powercrept, only finding a place on builds as no more than aesthetic options for vanity slots. The Adapted set's console is a staple budget DPS console, and the set's 2pc (usually with the kinetic beam) is nice for beam overload builds, with the torp going mostly unused by high-end players pretty much since its release.
