Needs more new Cardassian ships, updates to classic STO Cardassian releases, and a Cardassia Prime ground zone with a giant Natima Lang statue.

That could form the basis of a new arc for the game - dealing with the post-Dominion War Cardassian Union more directly, which could possibly give a facelift to the True Way.

Dominion War: 2373–75

STO: 2408-?

Current arc is around 2411 since I believe the Iconian War was 2410 so 35 years later is kinda well too tale for any post-Dominion War to be taking place, it would be like Europe still dealing with the aftermath of the Second World War in ... 1976 or Japan for that matter. Who knows maybe Cardassians economic recovery lead then to releasing their hit new home entertainment system, the GulStation.

Perhaps the Union could be more comparable to Afghanistan - a long-running problem as some elements of the Union are controlled and others are more chaotic, which could be exasperated by, for example, the fall of the Romulan Star Empire and other related chaos.

No, this is you trying to really having your late 2370's in 2410's ... it doesnt work, there are far too many people still trying to pighole the Cardassians into pro-Dominion after what they did to Cardassia Prime, that would never happen just like it cannot be set during TNG movie era since in STO that is already the past.

There are things that can be done with then during the Federation-Klingon War frame, maybe DECA will add content set during STO earlier timeframe but it shouldnt be a attempt to have something that would be a anachronism, you cannot have issues that by 2390 would already had surfaced and be dealt with to remain by 2410 because reasons, it simply doesnt make sense the Federation sitting in the arses with Cardassia being a "powerkeg" during that time since they had no real pressing problems during that time, Romulus would only be destroyed in about 2389 and since Picard is (sort of) canon we know that in the 2400's there was no pressing problems.

Cryptic: Sorry, best we can do is an obese defiant - a blocky sov - and the lovechild of an Akira and the Intrepid :D

Fine, I'll settle for the Hutet class, the new Cardassian uniforms, and Cardassian ground weapons.

That looks suspiciously like a Tzenkethi ship...

Well, it predates the Tzenkethi designs by, like, a decade or two - so...

Oh I know, just commenting on how much it resembles what they did for the Tzenkethi ships...I've been around since the days of Starfleet Battles.

I mean, I'd kill for the Hutet or the K'Vort Cha...

But all the leaks point to the three I listed

Especially annoying in the case of the USS 'just a fat Sov' Premmy xD

I'm not going to say that I hate the consistently Fed-only direction that STO takes, but my admiration for their development choices is definitely under control.

To be fair, the franchise itself is very Fed-slanted and the Federation is, I recall, the most popular faction in the game.

I will be completely happy with that blocky Sovereign if it's 5/3 and not 4/4 alike all the other Sovvies.

It's rumored to be sci themed - with the Valkyrie/Typhon/Typhoon (whatever designation you want to go with, I don't give a shit) being eng and the Achilles being tac

It's not impossible that the Premmy ends up being a 5/3 since it's a cruiser... but there's a risk that it might be another stupid 'push a button to switch to 5 fore slots' monstrosity rather than a full native 5/3...
