So third ship from dominion wars

Achilles maybe?

Best guesses right now

Ship one premonition(probable, maybe temporal juggernaut or more likely temporal assault cruiser since I don’t think we have one of those in the sovereign family yet)

Ship 2: maybe the party piece of the bundle, as a flyable t6 fighter squadron since a dev did say they saw aT6 squadron ship in test several months ago but it wasn’t ready for prime time yet. Other boring option is a typhoon class(as either a strike wing escort or something new as a flight deck escort, like the tac focused version of a FDC)

Ship 3: almost definitely the Achilles class, probably as a variant of the star cruiser given its looks, or its own thing since it’s supposed to be smaller, but it wouldn’t be the first time STO has messed with size(or maybe a Norway/Valdres now that I think about it)

Given the Achillies role and agility in Dominion Wars i'd guess a light battlecruiser or a well, warship as she was supposed to a purpose built one like the Defiants.

It'll probably be a battlecruiser but IMO should be warship or frigate.

As long as it's 5/3, decent agility, and include the micro quantum spread somehow.

If it doesn’t you can fake it if you have the lensflair jellyfish, it’s quad micro torpedo launcher plus torpedo spread actually looks pretty good

Interesting idea to use one of my old campaign rewards on.

For as much as I'd love them to include that as a new torp in the Achilles we all know it'll be a console. Hopefully it'll at least be a good one.

Eh, unless you have literally every other ship you want I wouldnt waste one in it, the ship itself is an inferior equinox

I just have it because I wanted the into darkness bundle and didn’t care about the d7 or kelvin

I'll have 3 campaign rewards after finishing this one. I've only used one of them to get t6 coupons for the bundle last year but now that they finally restricted those I've been planning on using them this year.

I've tried out every single ship on tribble and even the ones I was tempted by I didn't really care for once flying them so I've been planning to just use them on accessories like terran goodbye, ruin of our enemies, immolating phaser lance or others or possibly just some nice barbie things like that kelvin jellyfish torp.

It was the OG Avenger, Arbiter, and Inquiry.

Yea, that’s why I’m thinking maybe Valdres/norway based skeleton, smaller than a galaxy class but bigger than a defiant and the layout while not exact would probably at least be compatible

The Norway is a much smaller hull so mix and matching with it is very unlikely.

Achillies would be in the 450-500m+ range.

Smaller in STO compared to the Achilles in dominion wars, yes, but it would not be the first time STO messed with size

The inquiry is the size of a sovereign in Star Trek but not much bigger than an intrepid in STO

Lockbox ships like the jellyfish and universe are all over the place(jellyfish is basically a runabout on screen, Universe was supposed to be a couple KM)

The other option might work as well, make it a juggernaut and base it on the star cruiser skeleton, upsize instead of downsize

IIRC the inquiry size issue was because Cryptic couldn't get an official size so they just went with their own. When there is an official size they always go for it and some are slimmed down for gameplay reasons.

And some like the jellyfish are beefed up, just saying it’s not unprecedented for them to mess with the size of a ship

Yeah I just don't see them doing it for the Achilles. It'll most likely be sized as it was on dominion and I'm sure it'll be on it's own even if it was close enough to something else. They don't need to make it kitbash with something else it's already popular enough to sell.

It's almost certainly going to become part of the Avenger family, though. It fits that set of designs really, really well.

They try to stay to the offical sizes when they can though some things like that cargo shuttle from Picard got scaled up as did the vulcan shuttle from Discovery, T'pau i think it was?

As the other guy said noone had decided on the size of the Inquiry class so Cryptic just went "fuck it" and scaled it to the Avenger.
