Devs have said they have all the permissions needed to start grabbing ships from old games so if they do well expect to see more.

yeah but the devs who are fans of these old ships/games and set this whole thing in motion are leaving, it's possible the DECA devs who will be charge of this stuff are also huge fans of the old games and the TMP era ships but I'm not holding my breath

Nostalgia sells and i'm pretty sure both Cryptic and DECA know this. CBS apparantly took care of any rights issues so someone over there is clearly happy with how STO is doing.

The Yamato Dread exists in-game already!

The Yamato from starfleet command . It was a TMP ship . Very different from the future enterprise dreadnought
