A really sweet episode. Like spending time with the weird kid at school and finding out they're actually kinda cool, just needs a little help and understanding.

Starbase 80 has been the ghost story of LD since S1. Actually going there gave us an impossibly low standard to meet, so instead they turned it on its head and made it the most misunderstood place.

There's a history of that in sci-fi. The Serenity, the Millennium Falcon, most of S1 DS9. A place barely holding together, but you never want to leave.
