I love the fact that, as far as I know, SB80's design is something we haven't seen before. Which for being the one no one wants to be posted to makes even more sense IMO.

Oh wow, nice catch! I love that they're pulling from FASA designs. This show really is a love letter to every weird corner of Trek.

Huh. I always thought the "Watchtower" design was created for the Vanguard novels. TIL.

The Vanguard novels didn't come out in the '80s.

That's what I was saying. The Watchtower design isn't from the 80's. It's not a FASA design.

That's not a FASA design, that's the Watchtower class created by Masao Okazaki for the Vanguard novels, based on his earlier designs from the Starfleet Museum.

That website you linked to just grabs designs from all over Trek and creates FASA profiles for them.

o_o this is the deepest throwback ever. Last week was the nod to the Klingon board / VHS game. Now this? I remember that too.
