Squatting in London

I know someone who would like to get into squatting in London and I was wondering where they should start. Specifically, I was wondering if there were any places in London where they could squat? If not, how would they be able to find a safe place to squat? And where should they get advice on squatting? Thank you!

Woah, I've found a rabbit hole. This probably has to be the most interesting conversation I've had on Reddit.

Thank you for this insight and how much effort you put into explaining it to me. I don't plan on squatting but I'm sure someone who is will read this.
