As an ex-inmate I always worry how my caged animals feel about living in a cage. I have to convince myself that maybe they didn't know what life was like outside a cage or enclosure. Kind of like someone who is born blind and/or deaf wouldn't know what it's like to see/hear, so they have no actual idea about what they are missing and can only go off what others tell them.

If they were bred into captivity it is the only life they know I can’t imagine releasing them into the wild may not live as long. So I feel that part of what you said ❤️
