Merry Christmas!

I'm totally new in town. Just moved here from San Jose CA. I'm actually in Sutherlin but I don't think there's a sub for it. So I hope I can join you guys. So far everyone seems so nice and it's so pretty here.

Hi again! So I do have questions. Lots and lots. Lol. Bf told me a week ago I had to move out and tonight said he wanted to break up, even though he said I'm the perfect gf and he drove to San Jose to move me here.

So beyond that, I've got to find an apartment quick. And I don't know where to start especially what average rent is so I don't fall for to good to be true scams. I see lots of places for $400 for example. And in San Jose that would scream scam. My only income is disability which is less here but cost of living is also less so I'm hoping it evens out. And he's giving me till March 1st rent free which also helps. I'm older, 47, but not old enough for that sweet senior discount yet.

I'm also wondering on location. I at first thought Sutherlin since I'm here now. But now I'm thinking Roseburg. Especially if I want anything resembling a social life. And well for me as a gamer geek thats not much. I mean at least you guys have a Denny's. Even if it's not 24 hours.

Yeah that is a good question. Housing here, I have to admit, is pretty terrible. The problem with Roseburg is that there is just not enough housing available. Many people are moving here for work, but there is not enough housing here to support the constant flow of people. The city is working on it though at least. As far as apartments, $400 sounds really cheap (yes, for SJ, that would be a scam (I was in Antioch for 10 years before coming back to Roseburg in 2021)). There is the sunshine apartments on Hwy 138E, but I'm not sure of their availability. Let me think about this one!
