I moved to Roseburg from Louisiana two years ago. I love it here. I haven't felt like I'm part of the community yet, but I have found ways to enjoy life here.

Hiking and backpacking is my favorite way to spend my time. Even in winter months, I love hiking in the rain and/or snow.

If I'm not outside, I like to quilt, living room karaoke, and build puzzles. Always looking for people to invite over for calm nights in.

Making friends in your 30s is hard, especially when you moved here not knowing a single person!

Welcome. Do you like birds? I'm in charge of the local Christmas Bird Count this year and always looking for folks to get involved. This year it is on Saturday, December 21st. Involves walking and driving in an assigned area to identify and count birds. In the evening we get together (around 40 folks) and 'countdown' how many specious were seen. If you don't want to count you can volunteer to bring a dish for the countdown dinner. If interested reply here and I'll tell you how to contact me.

I've seen this event in the roseburg events online. I look at it frequently as I try to make a schedule for my job. I work most Saturdays, especially the Saturday before Christmas. Are you the same person that puts on the bird watching at Ford pond throughout the year?

Yes, all apart of audubon.n. I am not one of the folks that do the Ford's pond walks

I feel ya! Two years ago from Texas/Michigan. Happy to spend the weekends on outside doing Hikes. If you want to hike sometime let me know. I’m always down for an adventure to see somewhere new.
