Not sure why the bucks doubled ben Simmons off of Cam Johnson

8

u/Relo_bate 1d ago

while he was dragging it back to the 3 point line too.

prolly thought he would try to drive

Jodi Fernandez is a hell of a coach, scary potential once they get him good players - gg Nets

13

u/Belieber_420 Raptors 1d ago

Yes, but harder to get good players and Cooper if you keep winning

u/Ozkuro Bucks 1d ago

I don't think coaching had anything to do with the outcome tonight, we just played terrible down the stretch and some calls and luck didn't go our way (Clowney hitting that bank shot).

Live by the Bobby die by the Bobby as per usual when Giannis is out

u/Ozkuro Bucks 1d ago

Bobby Portis doubling Ben Simmons at the 3 point line leading to a 4 point play was disgusting. Delon Wright minutes are always terrible, get him off my team please.

A ton of mistakes from the young guys tonight, but that's how you learn so can't be too mad.

I don't know what illness is going around but hopefully Giannis and Dame are back soon.

Ryan Rollins can’t win with these cats

Come on Cam, everyone knows you can play, just take it easy until you're traded. These are important games we're trying to lose.

Noah Clowney been a sniper this year, that bank 3 with shot clock expiring what the fuck bro

Still laughing at us double teaming fucking Ben Simmons behind the 3 point line 🤣🤣🤣

10

u/iamjeseus Knicks 1d ago

Double teaming Ben Simmons in 2024 should warrant the death penalty

Cam is really an incredible player.

u/Jack12404 Bucks 1d ago

That was an UGLY second half. Bobby and AJ Green looked atrocious, and the amount of offensive fouls and turnovers committed was absurd. Giannis and Dame need to hurry up and come back.

Does anyone know what the players were huddling up for in the middle of the court after the game? I think I missed it

5

u/Cul_what Lakers 1d ago

That Cam Johnson price tag just shot up a lot rn lmao

Bucks may have been a bit optimistic thinking they could win without Giannis and Dame

3

u/FKJVMMP [MIL] Bill Zopf 1d ago

We blew out the Bulls three days ago, it’s not that optimistic.

portis has legit costed this team 3 losses this year alone lmao, maybe hes made it up for in other ways that I haven't seen

How can the Bucks want to play on Christmas Day when they can't even beat the Brooklyn Nets!?

-7

u/Colorapt0r Bucks 1d ago

I think this game is an example to refute one of the dumbest MVP argument/narratives out there. People talk a lot about how the nuggets would be the worst team in the NBA without Jokic, but look at the bucks without Giannis (and dame in this case). Any team is significantly weakened without their best player, and often to worst team in the league caliber because of the amount those guys get paid and the ways the teams are built around those stars specifically. So can we please stop using this argument to prop up only one guy?

u/BurnCollector_ NBA 1d ago

This is just one of the elements of judging MVP. It’s not the main reason Jokic has won over Giannis (in the years he did).

There are teams that don’t look awful without their best player. Thunder, Clippers, Grizzlies, Cavs, Celtics, Magic, & Mavericks stay competitive missing their best player.

u/Ok_Possible_5702 1d ago

You're inadvertently making exactly the same case you're trying to refute.

This is not the Bucks without Giannis - this is the Bucks without Giannis and Dame. And before today's loss, you still won with Washington and Chicago.

Dame without Giannis (full games only) is 1-1 with a win vs. the Heat and a loss vs. the Cavs. A completely respectable record.

Your coach just sucks.

You should have tonight but your coach just sucks

Literally better then any coach in your franchises history

How many franchises do I have?

Zero non-poverty ones

Major upset. Nets destroy the Bucks, who I was told is a good team?

9

u/No-Dress6918 1d ago

No Giannis and dame…

-5

u/human1023 Supersonics 1d ago

Why they afraid to play the Nets? Afraid they would lose too?

7

u/Ozkuro Bucks 1d ago

Yes, they are afraid of the Nets

-2

u/human1023 Supersonics 1d ago

I knew it.

9

u/Classics22 Trail Blazers 1d ago

Didn’t watch the game but also couldn’t be bothered to look at the box score

4

u/Premaximum Nets 1d ago

I wouldn't say we destroyed them. We barely beat them in the fourth quarter and they're missing their two best players.

-1

u/Renegadeforever2024 Raptors 1d ago

another bucks collapse in the fourth

it's nothing new

2

u/trinquin Bucks 1d ago

Tbf the collapse started at the end of the 3rd. It just continued through the 4th.

-3

u/DJ_B0B Bucks 1d ago

That just pissed me off so bad. Already short handed and we get fucking hosed by a Marc Davis master class of dogshit.

At the end of the first half when they delayed our inbounds which allowed Ryan to get doubled, then called him for a pushoff, then a soft ass 3pt foul. Plus the garbage ass flagrant on Khris. All the fouls they missed on us and the moving screen on Brook. I guess they had all the good refs work yesterday because that was disgusting.

Not mad at any of our players for that.

u/Plenty_Flatworm7627 Wizards 1d ago

I can't tell if this is more embarrassing for the nets or bucks

maybe the nets are hoping they can still get the number 1 from the play in like the hawks did
