Any idea on how to make blade one hand opening? Nextool Mini Sailor Modding

I hace checked thumbstud addons on aliexpress and they seem to be giantic for this fella.

Any idea?

Lots of aftermarket non-permanent solutions.

So, I have been thinking about this. Grinding the scale (blue bit) will allow you to get your thumb more on it. To push up. I do this with my LM Squirt.

Or you could swap the blade for a Spyderco blade.

That's it, if it's a decent blade it will too hard to drill through. Can get around this by heating it quickly on the thumb stud side and letting it cool, this will reduce hardness of the metal in that area, but is risky.

Grind down the locking detent so it's easier to open?

I find one hand opening on something this small to be too fiddly to be worth the trouble.

I vaguely remember someone making custom scales for it. I forget if they were 3D printed or G10. You could do something similar and widen the area around the nail knick.

Also oil it, open/close it a couple hundred times to break in the pivots and reoil it. It gets easier to open.

Drill and thread a hole and put a small cap head screw in there? Might need a carbide bit to drill it out, though, depending on how hard the blade is.

I can already open it one handed, though you have to push on the blade. In fact, in my experience, it is fully one hand operable, and the only reason I don't carry it anymore is because the back spring for the flathead broke
