Leatherman Squirt alternatives? Recommendation Request

I had to surrender my Gerber Dime to the TSA because American Airlines didn’t have anyone at the front to check my (prepaid) luggage so I was told to gate check them which meant going through security and thus, the loss of my EDC multitool of many years.

I thought this would be a good opportunity to try the Squirt again only to find that it doesn’t seem to be available.

So now I’m between the Gerber Dime and Vise I guess unless any of you have better suggestions in the similar size range.

Pliers and blade are a must. My ideal tool would be a Style CS with a pliers instead of scissors.

SOG Powerpint is an excellent choice for a small light multi tool

I have one and love it but be prepared to mod the scissors a bit. They are not very good out of the box but can be improved. Lots of info on the internet about how (Reddit, YouTube, forums).

If/when it breaks in after a while of using it there is a very simple magnet mod that works superbly.

If you don’t want it to have balisong action you can tune and loctite it(that was my preference)

Enjoy it in good health
